      I highly highly recommend you try the keto diet to help you get pregnant. It really really works!! Search on RUclips the words: IVF and Keto and Carnivore. You'll see doctors like Ken Berry talking about it and you'll see stories from women and comments from women who got prego. I was watching another doctor's QA video on RUclips and had a patient where she her period stopped for years but went full Carnivore, got her period after a few months on Carnivore, got pregnant 3 months later. Too many carbs will cause your hormones out of balance. You have to change what you eat completely. Plants are highly toxins and full of oxalates. Please Please research. God Bless & Take care

    Korea is not the only country that puts hot rice in hot soup. Japanese people make "napa" (cabbage) soup with pork and eggs and we serve it over hot rice. We also make ojea rice with the leftover soup by adding rice until it absorbs all the broth, we add green onions, eggs and white onions. I believe some Hispanic cultures also add hot rice to broth. I guess this is why I enjoyed seeing you eat the soup this way. It is familiar to me.

    I'm not sure if it is actually considered part of the cuisine in Poland, or if my mother just decided to add her own flair, but my mom would always add rice to hot (Polish) soups as well. Seeing you two put fresh cooked rice into the broth, totally reminded me of my childhood!

    There are other rice soup dishes (湯飯) which aren't congee in Chinese cuisine too where you put the rice in the soup.

    Gabie I have a question. I've never seen anyone use strawberries before in their sauce. Is that something you always do, something you picked up and liked or was it for the sweetness because you didn't have apple/pear? I love watching your YT cause it helps me with my Korean and learning about food.

    • @uyentran8038
      @uyentran8038 Год назад

      @@gabiekook no, "canh" is just a common word we call any kind of soup. we have a few canh with tamarind base - the sweet pork is probably just another dish on the table as part of the meal, not a fixed pairing. in VN the common table will have rice, one "dry" dish (e.g stir fry, dense stew) and one "wet" dish (boiled vegetable or canh)

    there is a dish called 'Pao fan' (Chinese name), which means 'Submerged Rice'! It follows a similar fashion where the hot rice is meant to be added and eaten in the soup^^ However, the soup is seafood based - think prawn, etc, making it usually very umami-filled! We top it with more seafood (traditionally), or meat, if you'd like - but the key is adding puff rice on top as a crunch topping! Broths can vary from something lighter i.e
    'more clean tasting' to richer, thicker/creamier broths (there's no diary, though). It's rather popular in Singapore, especially in modern times after premium versions of it started appearing, like chefs using lobsters.

      Chinese-style "paofan" is somewhat similar to the Korean version, but it uses a bit of spice (such as star anise八角,clove丁香) to mask the gamey taste of the meat and has a broth that's more oily in flavor. A significant difference lies in Korean paofan broth, which aims to maintain the fresh taste of the ingredients while using plenty of water to create the stock and removing excess oil during cooking, resulting in a cleaner and relatively less oily approach. Sometimes, when I miss Korean-style rice soup in China, I've often tried paofan, and it brings back memories from the past. Hehe! While they share similarities, the distinct use of Chinese spices results in a noticeable difference in aroma and taste.
