나름 열악한 환경이었는데도 그 멋진 요리들을 해내다니🎉
Gabie you will be soooo happy when that kitchen renovation is done!! No heat, no dishwasher, half an oven/stove working and crumbling counters is an awful place to cook, especially with how much you cook! It will be worth the time and hassle while it's renovated. I wondered about all the cutting boards, but figured you either liked collecting them or you just kept getting them as gifts. XD

As a Canadian, I can say that BBQ season doesn't have to end when the summer ends. In some ways it's nicer to BBQ when it's cooler, because it's much more pleasant to be near it. And if you're sat in the sun somewhere that's shaded from the wind, it can be quite lovely to eat outside too, just put on a sweater. The air is crisp and clear, and you can smell the leaves, which is one of my favourite scents. 😊🧡
Haha I'm in MN, and it's the same here! There's really no such thing as a BBQ "season"... more so for if you're doing outdoor parties/ going to grill at a park. When it's not nice out, we still grill and then just eat inside!
I live in New England and have had BBQ at a ski rental in middle of a snowy January! Totally agree with you.

this summer we had several plumbing big issues that caused us so much stress and anxiety, but i kept reminding myself that it's part of having a house and now hearing your kitchen renovation story just reinforced the concept of "homeowners means renovations/house issues". This meal looked extra yummy knowing it's the last one in this kitchen♡ can't wait to see the new kitchen counter look!

I'm so excited to see your new kitchen! Having your own house really does come with random stuff being broken as the years go by. It can be quite stressful whenever that happens, but I just treat it as an opportunity to make something that is better than the previous ones.

I promise you, having a new kitchen will feel great! I recently got a new one (for free as it is part of the flat renovation including new plumbing, ventilation etc) and I got to choose the colours of the new cabinets and flooring) and I can't be happier even if it's not really that fancy compared to your options. And I got an induction range and I love it! I hope you'll feel quite happy and satisfied once it is all done.

I've seen so many renovations incorporate underfloor heating and wondered what would happen if it broke. You've answered that question for me. Hope the renovation doesn't take too long or create too much dust and disruption 😩

We got rid of the underfloor heating since we had tiles and it would require all of them to be removed if it got broken again

온수 바닥난방이라면 석회가 많은 지하수든 수도물이든 침전물이 쌓여 배관과 보일러 고장을 일으킴니다
잦은 관리와 배관에 에어가 차면 순환이 안되니 개인 주택은 주인이 모든걸 숙지 해서 관리
처치 할 줄 알아야 합니다.

Of course it's your decision, but I would never give up a gas stove for an induction one.
They are much easier to clean and look much neater. I cook quite a bit and would never go back.

Gabie, if you want to keep the concrete work top, without destroying it. I suggest you buying marble slab or granite tile with large dimension, there's 120x240 cm wide. I reckon it's enough to cover the work space for handling flour etc. And for other work top, just replace them with pvc granite sheet. While it's durable but not for knife work.

In floor heating always clogs up and stops working, and then you have to rip up the whole floor. This has been known for at least 50 years, and yet people keep doing it, who knows why. Anyhow, nice family gathering, and delicious looking food as always.

정말 맛있어보여요 예전에 요리대결 프로에서 첨보고 유튜브도 한식하시는만 가끔 봤는데 다 맛있어보여요~ 그리고 주방이 첨단으로 가득할것이라 생각했는데 낡아서 놀랐어요 . 요리 못하는 사람들도 주방용품은 신상으로 가득하던데. 리뉴얼한 주방에서 요리하는것 빨리 보고 싶네요
그러네요 코팅하고 뭐 안하셨나봐요…. 공사 잘끝내고 또 멋진요리 기다릴게요.매일요리하는게 쉽지않은데 대단하십니다 .10년지나면 서서히 고장나가시작하더라구요.

I wish I could get a gas stove instead of my induction. Why do you prefer induction?
Gas stove emits a lot of emissions inside the house…josh had asthma growing up and i had skin problems..ik im really looking too far ahead but made me think maybe our offspring might have the same too🥹? And also, i visited some professional kitchens in Paris and the new ones had inductions to my surprise. My professional chef friend also has induction for his place too and he told me it is so much better than gas that he wouldnt go back. So it’s for health worries, practicality etc
@@gabiekook oh I just feel like cooking-wise…gas is for better control! Never thought about the other considerations. Thank you. Not all of your cookware may be induction-friendly, so a chance to buy some!
@@pooiyian My induction hob is far more controllable than any gas hob I’ve ever used, it heats up a pan of water from cold far quicker too.
