How do you feel about the technique of using a helo retention lanyard or something like that to anchor into the tripod? Have you done/seen that before?
With the advent of more stable carbon tripods it's a technique that's started to disappear. It works and I show it to guys, but after a little work, most guys stop using it.
Do you have any suggestions for a tripod for a guy that’s 6’6”? I have 2 BOG deathgrip bipods now but neither of them are tall enough and I have to bend to get lined up.

Any suggestions for a tripod that is a good value/best bang for buck? Im having a hard time spending close to $1000 on a tripod.
Leofoto carbon fiber inverted tripod. With 30L adjustable head. Best bang for the buck. Bar none.
I get it... US made tripods are way too pricey. Two Vets Tripods are our go to.
