Yeeeeeah dope starting ep. Our favourite "hawker food"!!! U guys went to some amazing places and that street food series on Netflix was so good. Wish we had more time in Singapore when we were there to try some of these places but like U said the standard of food is so good, can't complain haha. Can't wait to see more from U guys!
Yeah so much great food on its way! There are so many hawkers and restaurants here so the competition must be crazy no wonder there is such a high quality of eating here 😍

I love that Netflix series! I remember these dishes. I remember the chili crab place! I loved that story of the steam rice place! Wow 40 mins, looks so good! Great vlog!!
😅 yeah 40 min was a very long wait considering we were at the front of the queue and there 30 min before it even opened. Some ppl at the back of that line must be waiting hour plus. But in the end the noodles totally worth it 💯💯💯
So happy to join you both on your journey and thanks for letting us follow ... food looks delish. I don’t know why but kept thinking that Singapore is expensive but the prices seem reasonable. Crab 🤤🤤 gosh the noodle dish just looks so damn good 😢🤤🤤 awesome vid fams ... stay safe 👍🏻💛
We're both glad you're joining us for this leg of our journey CaityB 😍 Singapore is funny cause you can eat cheaply if you want but at the same time you can eat much more expensive places. Singapore is the first country that yen and I traveled to together plus its where as lot of our family stays so it seemed right that we came here first. Plus there's a ton of amazing food 🤤😁
Omg are you guys here right now?! Thats so cool. Your videos really got me hooked while I was on my NZ trip and it is so nice to see you guys trying out SG food. I hope you two have fun over here and do try the less mentioned food like Mala Hotpot, Sambal Stingray, and Tutu Kueh!
😁👋 yeah we just arrived on Monday and went straight into these street food places. We just had tutu kueh yesterday hahaha. Planning on getting sambal sting ray on an episode in the future and will look for a good mala hot pot too now. Thanks for the recommendations. Glad you enjoyed all our nz series ✌
Great video guys! SG is one of my favorite cities in the world so it was really nice seeing you guys visit all these places and brought back some awesome memories. 40 mins is well worth the wait for an awesome dish like that!
Loved that episode! Singapore is one of my favorite destinations, I loved all of the dishes Chicken Rice, Chillie Crab, Mee all of my Favorite dishes! Well done guys absolutely the best! ❤ 😋 👍
Rachee! You've got great taste in food 😍 glad you enjoyed our first one from abroad. We'll be spending a bit of time over here in Singapore so plenty more yumminess to come. Let us know if there's a particular dish you wanna see too will be sure to hunt a plate down for you 😁
Hahaha thanks guys glad you enjoyed our first one on the road! Those noodles are pretty special so good choice. Flavors were a wonderful mix of wan tan mee and ramen 😍
You two are so much happier and so full of new excitement and energy, that you both are talking faster than ever before! Hahaha! The chains are broken! Free at last!
Definitely feels good being free! looking back maybe we are a lil too excited taking way too fast on this one hahaha. We'll try and calm down a bit on the next video 😂 it'll be hard though
Love this video so much, that’s awesome family heritage being able to pass down all of that food knowledge. That place was packed out, hopefully the food was amazing waiting for 40min. Which it looks like it was
All the food we had on this episode was amazing really tough picking a favorite 😅 waiting in queues for food is just something we have to get used to here in Singapore.
I have yet to try this one - i usually go to the clarke quay one or out near to jurong east , when i lived there :), but the sauce is so good with the mantau
when we went to Singapore to visit the families, we got introduce to the Chili Crab and they were absolutely delicious.!! Love the video!! *hearts to you two* Sounds like an amazing trip!!

Ahhh that wan tan mee was so good! That prawn is covered in potato and deep fried to perfection and the egg o my gosh so soft and runny 😍 every component was perfect 😍
Wowww serious yolk action going on. What a great mix of textures with that crispy wrapped shrimp and those fat juicy wontons. The special definitely sounds worth it!
We had been watching that Netflix show and man, that first dish, yes it's like my mum's dad used to make for us way way back in my days (my grandpa is Chinese, LiuChan) and my wife would love that chili crab dish too! All the dishes are cheap as! That Wonton soup looks and sounded amazing OMG!
O bro didn't know your granddad was an excellent cook too! His chicken rice sounds bomb as. Yeah prices for food is pretty reasonable here in Singapore especially in hawkers 😁👌
I couldn't click any quicker, so awesome to see you both on your new journey over seas👌 1:19 is what I look forward too, that look you make when you know the Kai is outstanding 😊 Happy Journey👍🙌
Ghost chips!!! 😁👋 the kai over here in Singapore is outstanding we ate at so many incredible spots already and it hasn't even been a week. We're staying with yen's sister and bro and her parents joined from nz too so its nice to be reunited 😁👍
Omg Singapore!!!! A must visit for me.. I love all the Hawker center!!!! Yesss I'm excited for this!!! Loving that Hainam chicken rice!! For 🔥goodddddddd
Thanks Demi you have the same food taste as yen cause she also loved the noodles 😁 o yea Tokyo food tour sounds great! Will actually be going there next year for our friends wedding 😉
just watching this that chicken rice is getting me hungry chilli crab looks good never tried that getting this travelling and eating off to a good start guys *left our like👍Au 👍supported🌟full view🌟*
40mins in line.. Oh my goodness... I've waited in line 10hrs for shoes before so I think 40mins is definitely worth the wait! Loving those wonton noodles!!! Japanese wonton style
That chilli crab though 😍😍 aw so proud of you both, can't wait to see the rest of your journey unfold. Btw its still cold here in NZ looool. Safe travels guys 😊
The chilli crab looked delicious, if I’m ever in Singapore I really want to try that!!! 😍🤤 & the last place, wow! If there’s a line that long it HAS to be good 😊👌 so good seeing you guys travelling and eating your way through the country 😄 hope you guys are well!
Thanks guys! Filming and editing away from home is all good no problem. Without work we have so much more time. Only thing is I got a bad throat infection and feverish 3 days in... yen's been nursing me back to health 😅
Sorry to hear that mate. Seems to happen to us when we travel. Catch something early in the trip and have to spend a few days recovering. I think it’s something to do with our bodies relaxing after being stuck in the 9-5 grind.
So cool you got the son of the owner of the chili crab place. I (Nabol) would actually eat that. I just need that sauce. Can't wait to visit those hawkers. Is that dessert? Looks so good.
That Chilly crab looks super delicious! Probably you're looking for the word "Wok Hei" (charred flavour I think?)😊Found in most delicious high-fire-wok-fried food!
The first spoon full Of Peters is what I’m talking about 😍😍 let them know you’re from New Zealand with that big spoon full boooooy Lesgoooo 🔥 awesome video & talk about your guys energy issa vibe ☺️
Hahaha yeah bro that bite was an awesome way to kick off this Singapore trip 😍 there's so much great food spots here can't wait to hit up more of them 👍 energy must be from knowing we don't needa work tomorrow hahaha
Peter and Yen bro keep your bite size big cause damn it’s already looking a trademark lol. I think that is definitely were this energy is coming from. Freedom must feel good ☺️
Late comment but I love the fact that you support, collab and get into the poly culture. I love that watching my fave poly youtubers mention you guys!!
Hey Anna thanks for dropping by. Yen n I have both grown up with polynesian families around us. I think it's a big part of being a kiwi to mix with ppl of all other ethnicities. Collabing with all the polytube fam has been the best! ❤
Everything hawker is our type of food tour 😍 great first video from Singapore guys! Can’t wait to watch the next ones 😁 Now we crave the Mala Xiang Guo hawker style in Singapore so much, would you please eat it for us? 😋
Hahaha you guys sound like you needa make a trip to Singapore too you're both so into the food here 😂👍 We'll needa research a good ma la xiang guo spot not something we normally eat will do some research. Thanks for the suggestion!
Omg that last dish looked sooooo goooddd. I had chili crab in Thailand but it was suck a pain in the butt cuz the crab was too small. 😫 I’m with Yen Noodles all day!
Hahaha yah don't think mud crabs are as common in Thailand. Small crabs are definitely a pain to eat can barely get any meat out of em. Wan tan mee was super delicious though 😍
Crabs are one of my favourites. I know people don’t like eating it coz it’s messy & time consuming but it’s sooo good. I can only imagine what it would taste like drenched in chilli sauce 🤤 I‘d love to try that putu piring dish one day. That sounds delish. So cool to you two in Singapore. Looking forward to the upcoming videos : )
Hey Gen 😁👋 you have great taste in food. I love pretty much everything that comes from the sea especially crabs. Not usually a fan of over saucing seafood but kek did the perfect combo. Heaps more content from Singapore coming right up 😁✌
Peter your face describes the food very well 😂 I bet it’s hot and humid now. You gotta have chili crab... you guys gotta tell us how spicy it is.. like for real
The spiciness of the chilly crab rally depends on the place you're going to. Kek seafood chilly crab really isn't all that spicy. The flavors are also more complex and interesting. Hahaha food face going all out on this one 😂🤤
😁 it does feel very natural to be in front of the camera and eating food now hahaha. Remember when we first started how self conscious we would get but now it's all goods 😊✌
Hahahahahaa.. Singaporeeeeeeeeeeeee! I miss Singaporeeeeeeeee.. I miss The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. Great country.. :D Nice episode, Sis Bro.. Take care.. FW-
I went on vacation to Singapore and stayed at the Ritz Carlton in 2016. A very beautiful hotel.... with a very beautiful view.. :D Enjoy your time in Singapore, sis Yen and bro Pet..
Definitely, Singapore is an interesting place you can get cheap food and you can get ridiculously expensive food too. Glad both can be delicious and that there's a choice ✌
O wow that sounds great! Yen n I really want to go Indonesia too. Possibly next year we'll make the trip 😁👍 so busy dunking the crab into the sauce totally forgot about rice 😂
Omg chicken and rice.👌 Im at the gym right now and this video is making me lost focus haha.😂 3$ thats crazy cheap.👍 Wow chilli crab interesting would definitely keep this in mind when i go there so nobody whould say i has not been there lol. Looks delisious.😉
Pahahaha yah that's right bro you have to eat that chilly crab if you come here along with that chicken rice 🤔 there are just too many great options. This must be hard to watch while you're in the gym 😂
Chicken and rice is what Singapore is known for? Oh man... I gotta try it somehow. I just don't know where I can find it around me. I love rice cooked in chicken stock (or chicken stock soaked rice). 3 USD isnt too bad either!
Great job Yen! Make Peter wait in line 😂😂 wow... 40 minute wait. That is quite the effort. Japanese fusion wonton noodles 😍😍 its interesting bow the soup is served on the side.
Everything looked great in this episode but I really wanna try Singaporean chicken and rice. I will be on the look out for one near me. Great episode guys!
Palm sugar is made from coconut palm trees. Also known as Gula Melaka, it's made from the sap of flower buds from the palm. It's often used as a sweetener giving a taste distinctly different from normal sugar. Gula Melaka is Malay for Sugar from Malacca.
Love the food here in Singapore, one of our favorite stops in Asia because its convenient to get around, yummy treats and most importantly family is here ❤
You know it's good when you have to line up 40 minutes for food! Awwwh that egg porn!! Yen is a true Malaysian - come to Malaysia and we'll go noodles hunting together haha!!
Welcome to Singapore!!
Thanks KC P 😁✌ will be trying as many yummy food stalls as possible.
Go to Old Airport Road Hawker Centre. One of the best.

That seafood looks soooooo good! ugh. Love yous fam x
Thanks for watching our first video from Singapore fam! Glad you enjoyed the food ❤😁
So cool you got the son of the owner of the chili crab place. I (Nabol) would actually eat that. I just need that sauce. Can't wait to visit those hawkers. Is that dessert? Looks so good.
Yeah that was amazing being able to meet the uncle and Paul 😍 all four food stores were seriously incredible. Yup that's a dessert 😉
omg the crab!!! loving the bib haha
Hahaha even though we got a bib we still managed to splash sauce on our clothes 😂
That Chilly crab looks super delicious! Probably you're looking for the word "Wok Hei" (charred flavour I think?)😊Found in most delicious high-fire-wok-fried food!
Yes! Wok hei that's the word! Yen told me the same thing after too but I'm not used to a lot of the local lingo hahaha. Chilly crab was so good!🤤
Damm 40 minutes to wait in line. Can you imagine us doing that with 3 kids 🤣🤣
😂😂😂 you sure you can't just use them as things to reserve your table with 🤔😂
More shows please! 100% amazing!
We'll do our best to keep this up as long as our viewers keep watching and enjoying 😁✌️

Putu piring is soooooo yummy and the story and cooking process is ❤
Late comment but I love the fact that you support, collab and get into the poly culture.
I'm so encouraged to travel....! That's amazing yum!
Besides from getting sick yen and I are loving the trip so far 😁✌
Everything hawker is our type of food tour 😍 great first video from Singapore guys!

You guys should totally visit guys! We've got a bunch of very different Singapore content on its way so hopefully you guys find it useful 👍
Wow your in Singapore I’ve been there once in 2017 and my uncle lives there Singapore is one of my fav places too❤️
O nice! You've been to so many different countries before. Must be very handy having your uncle here so you can visit anytime 😁👍
I’ve only been to 2 country’s😂
YAS! Chilli crab and Chicken Rice!!!
Hahaha min you getting food envy over there 😉😁👍
Omg that last dish looked sooooo goooddd.
I can only imagine what it would taste like drenched in chilli sauce 🤤
I‘d love to try that putu piring dish one day.
Heaps more content from Singapore coming right up 😁✌
You'll needa come to Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia to try putu piring 😉
Never seen that plate before with the shrimp ... very interesting
It is a very unique dish. A fusion of ramen and wan tan mee. But what's even more incredible that they have done high quality versions of both 😯
Peter your face describes the food very well 😂
I bet it’s hot and humid now.
Peter and Yen we wanna go too!!
I'm REALLY late... but I'm here!!! ❤
Aww haha thanks Lena ♥️☺️ Hope you enjoyed this episode!
The first Yooooo overseas! Yessss
Hahaha first of many 😁🥇
First 🙏

Awesome! Cannot wait to see more of Singapore :)
“If you don’t have chilli crab in Singapore, you haven’t been to Singapore”
That’s soooo true! Haha
We like it with deep fried mantou (bun) 🤤
😂 that was such a legendary quote 👍 deep fried mantou also sounds delicious 🤤
Congrats again on pursuing your dream, you both are so in your element👌👌
😁 it does feel very natural to be in front of the camera and eating food now hahaha. Remember when we first started how self conscious we would get but now it's all goods 😊✌
You guys are naturals all rounder💯 Again Congratulations 👌
@@seliamatonks3406 ❤❤❤

Haha definitely need to go try it next time 😁👍
“I ain’t debating with no one” 🤣🤣
Just bring on all the chicken rices I'll be eating them all 😂👍
Oh love the shrimp wrapped... we make them with potato in Spain, like wrapped in potatoes
This element might have been inspired from Spanish cooking. It is indeed prawn wrapped in potato we realised that later on 🤔
Peter and Yen nice!!
They're all so delicious. I really want to try
You totally should Thu all the food was incredible ❤
"A whole pile of bones!!! " lol 🦀 you the man Peter!!!

All the food was delicious but that chilly crab is definitely something special. Singapore is a food lover's dream destination.
Yes!! Singapore food
😍
$3 US this is why Singapore is home to Good food for the buck!!!
Definitely, Singapore is an interesting place you can get cheap food and you can get ridiculously expensive food too. Glad both can be delicious and that there's a choice ✌
we need a steam rice for that amazing crab! ;p we also have the Indonesian version of "kue putu", you should try if you have a chance! :)
O wow that sounds great! Yen n I really want to go Indonesia too. Possibly next year we'll make the trip 😁👍 so busy dunking the crab into the sauce totally forgot about rice 😂
Its 3am and now I'm craving chilli crabs...even though I've never tried it b4 lol
Hahahahahaha you guys will needa come Singapore to fulfill that craving. No where else does it like here 😉
Dead Lord have mercy on the chili crab.. It's layed on that delicious sauce!!!! Omg Mouth Waster AF!
My bro ppl ain't lived till they had chilly crab it's got to be one of the greatest things ever invented next to paper and calculators 😂
Chilli crabs look amazing. It reminds me of mapo tofu but with crab. It's also great that they give you some soft carbs to go with the dish.
What is palm sugar? That rice dish kinda looks like ice cream haha. Looks yummy
Excellent...how about food in Singapore......from your reaction it seems nice to me......enjoyed your outing at singapore
That sounds incredibly tempting! We'll call ourselves the noodle hunters 😂
