So you connected to power of mirror, is the rain sensor connector in there to ? Advantage of connecting to that?

Will the dashcam turn off with the car as well? or is this one of those outlets where it will drain from the battery?

This is only powered by the rearview mirror which means when the car turns off, it turns right off with it. No battery to drain.
