Re the auto headlights not dipping. Not wishing to state the obvious but how did you turn it off/down when being flashed? If only on stalk, yes it will still revert back to auto setting. In my GR Yaris, obviously same car family, there's an A button to the right of steering wheel and lower down. That's effectively the proper on/off switch. In mine they do feel like they dip a little last minute anyhow, but when it's misty, dirty screen etc, especially at the start of a journey, likely due to slight sensor obstruction, they've not dipped and I've manually used the stalk, more than once. Within minutes of the screen clearing, warming up etc they've worked fine. Wishing a happy festive break for you and family 👍
I either had to flash, then it would turn off, or cycle it into auto or normal beam on the stalk. Using the non-auto option, in theory, should leave you responsible for the lights. It was the full beams that were the problem though, because they would just come on all the time. The headlights themselves are fantastic, but it was really irritating. I went so far as to get the manual out! It just noted cycling between auto and manual lights, nothing about another button. I did feel like I was missing something really obvious, though, but it was the only thing that irritated me about the car, so I had to mention it. If there is an obvious override, then there's really nothing to complain about with this car!! They've nailed everything else, so I'd be surprised if there's not an easy fix that leaves me looking a bit silly. Happy Christmas you too! May you stay Covid free and enjoy the break

@@James-RJM not at all! I felt like I was missing something blindingly obvious at the time, but the manual provided no answers. If you're getting hung up on a hooky full beam, it speaks well of the car though! It's hardly the biggest issue you'll ever face...
