For the price of just the ebike battery, you could get a somewhat decent mountain bike and a 2 stroke gas engine kit. It will also be faster and less attractive to thieves.
I won't even go to the other parameters. But cost itself (where the engine bike can "hit" the electric) isn't so obvious with a pour comparison like this. With 2stroke, you have many things to go bad in the bike only from vibration itself. Also, don't forget the cost of running which isn't cheap at all (especially living in a county with 2€ per liter gas). While for the battery, you need only 20-30 cents per 100km or something

Also it helps to run the correct fuel for the 2 stroke engine!
They sell premixed fuel too. 1/2 gallon or Full Gallon sizes.
you can get a bigger motor for nearly the same price and you can modify exhaust and carbirator to go faster

Come on now. I for one like both of them. If the electric one has a shorter charge time and long mileage, I take it. Also, electric bikes having sounds would be amazing like a futuristic taser accelerating sound. But the gas would always have it's place in the timeline and I respect your opinion.

Somewhat of an apples to oranges comparison at this point.
What application and which experience do you want?
If I want the gas powered, loud'n'proud, drive into the hills, and shoot some guns experience.. then I go for the gas engine.
If I want some quiet nature camping journey, or in the city running around, then the electric.
Both have advantages.
Depending on your State/County, your cops might harass you, and people get annoyed, with the loud two stroke.
But charging the batt? You might want to have extras, sending the already high price soaring to new levels if you want it for anything but local.
Too many comparisons +/- to list here, but just want to say that to compare these things is somewhat pointless, as they suit some very different applications/interests.

I have both, both are fun. So much different though can't really compare them.

Lmao for real, the gas line looks clear indicating pure gas station fuel no Oil. He's not going to have that GasBike for very long, not after the Piston seizes with the cylinder.
This video was just to say ebikes are better. By not running the 2stroke correctly for starters.
I see this guy go to work everyday on his electric bike for the last five years .But I see a motorized bicycle once in awhile .
My 2 stroke motorized bicycle can go 61 kph and I only have to pedal to 12kph to get it going. The 66cc kit is much better than the 48cc kit.
well i have a carburetor jetted for a 50cc engine and have fitted it to a 100cc engine, I've found that it sips as much fuel as a 50 and has the power of a 66, it runs quite lean and is pretty efficient as far as a motorized bike goes, it also has a lot of torque and i can even start uphill with the clutch without even pedaling
100cc or better . Never 80cc or lower. But that's just my opinion
based on your review I ordered a SMLRO MX300 48V 500W ebike eactly what you were presenting on this video. I was able to ride on 10 km all together but within this short time I had to replace the hall sensors 2 times in the HUB motor , the PAS sensor also died and finaly at ODO meter 10km the controller ended up with error code 09. Do you have similar bad quality mx300? Do you know how to fix error code 9? It is a controller failure but to get controller from china is 2 months so I need help to fix it on my own. DO NOT BUY IT except if you like to fix e bikes ....

your going to seize the motor bike it’s a 2 stroke kit you need to run it with oil and while it’s breaking in a lot of oil like 16:1 breaking in a week after 25:1
Nah that’s bullshit. I’ve ran 50:1 the whole lives of both of my bikes and have one clocked in at over 4600 miles no problem
I’m in the city & if it sounds like a dirt bike cops will follow, ticket & take bike that’s why I’ve been ebiking for 8 yrs now & on my 2nd battery pack 48v 15ah I put over 15k miles on thru rain, snow, blizzard, blazing hot days, on 1 battery pack & still has 75% capacity I now use it for camping to power lights, charge cellphone, run small portable fridge, I love lifepo batteries, now my apartment is solar & my bill is usually no more than $50 month for electric 😊

Greater fulfilment in riding something you build yourself. The adaptations available on a kit bikes are endless. The Japanese never really stopped developing the 2 stroke engine, the political green issues Eiuro 3 Euro 4 stopped road bike production. All we here now is Sustainability ad nausia.
I would love to see a modern version of RM 80 or KMX 80 or even DT 50.
Bultaco , KTM knew how to build green laners back in 70s when I was a teenager. Get these companies to build a motorised bicycle for the forest trails today I would have more fun then with electric.

Gas bike is very capable adding accessories to the engine and you can change the rear sprocket gear to gain more speed or you can change it to claim hills and you can eat Kris the power to the gas engine with the proper 2-stroke oil can eliminate the oil smell

All well and good when you have your conclusion decided before the grand battle begins.
Gas is superior when it comes to constant riding, and hill climbing; whereas the electric uses more electricity going up hill and going faster. It’s good in the city though. I prefer the gas two or four stroke engines, except for LIFAN Engines.

I have both, A Raleigh with a 39cc Tanaka purefire, 4210, probably the cleanest
2 stroke ever made, but loud, 34 mph, 150 mpg. I also have an NCM moscow,
(German Co,,Das Kit) 500w, 13ah, mtn. bike with 7000 miles on it. The gas bike
has an obvious advantage in speed, range, & cost although mine is a very expensive
gas kit. My ebike doesn't need mixed gas, it's quiet, climbs very well, top spd 24 mph,
range 40 mi, (on a single battery, mine's modified to carry two.) It cost 4 times
that of the gas bike which I rarely ride. I just enjoy the ebike more.
I love 2 bangers also slightly unfair as the engine requires a break in period before it really gets going

I have had 3 /stroke motor bikes. People say u can modify it but all you can do is take out the muffler or straight pipe it. Makes it go 5km faster. I have gotten in so much trouble with people for how loud it is. Now that i have the electric bike i can go 50km and hour and not work about people giving out

What do you mean you can't modify it? There's plenty to do! Swap the head, the cylinder, add a reed valve, spark plug, cdi, piston, you can also port it and get different carburetors and intakes, list goes on..
If you got the better 500w ebike then I think you should have put the 66cc bigger 2 stroke. Mine does 33 mph and gets 90 miles per gallon tank
Acceleration on ebike is good but Chinese 66/80cc motor is pretty powerful for a bike

By the time I get a gas bike running properly… it’s winter again and bike season is over. Ebikes, hands down. Though I prefer to build my own… dc brushless motor. No hub kit.
if you broke in the motor and jetted the carb right it would go faster
you can get bigger sprockets for the wheel to go slower with more torque, for riding trails and climbing hills
The 2stroke is better for several reasons.
· Range.
· Easy to refuel/carry extra fuel
· Easier to fix if something goes wrong.

Its loud tho. Ebike kit and battery cost 400 and that'll get you 35mph and you can ride it anywhere. Ebikes are maintenance free except changing things like bearings and normal bike maintenance and some chargers will have you topped up in 1 half hour but gas bikes are great for offroad and and alot cheaper.
You can get better quieter mufflers.
Plus its super fast to refuel a gas 2stroke. Under 1 minute, ready to go another 100+ miles no waiting.

Definitely prefer the gas bike...the power, the sound, the range...I would build and ride one but the cops are jerks about it. They don't know about ebikes yet so right now so there's freedom to ride.
Not a fair comparison since you were biased off the start. Why did you have to even show the pedal coming off since it's your fault it was loose? Terrible spazzy launch by the gas bike rider, keep your fruity e bike. Test them again after 30 charges on that high quality swelled up battery.

Thats not the point of the video. The electric bike costs around $600 and the gas engine kit costs around $120.If he paid $600 for a gas engine, the gas bike would easily destroy the electric bike. 212cc engine and the bike would fly in the air. As you can see, the 2 stroke engine is much cheaper and has much better performance. Also, 2 stroke engines are super cheap to maintain. If you pay $300 you can buy the 4 stroke engine kit which has much better fuel economy, no smoke and doesn't make a lound sound. The performance is very similar. The only difference is the kick that 2 stroke engines have. They accelarate faster.Sorry for my bad english :)

It’s more like dirt bike... I think electric mobility is not only fashion... electric motors are are certainly better in personal transport, the only thing needed to be refined are the batteries

Buy a $600 2stroke engine and you will have 110cc or 150cc engine or better. Better dependability too. Still better range than ebikes. And way way faster.
You can get a ebike kit 100w for £130 and a battery for 48v £180 and thatll get you 35mph
Buy and carry extra fully charged batteries.
Gas motor cost less than 150$ and it lasts longer and goes faster

Thats why you dont use the 48cc kit.
motorized bikes look and sound way cooler then most of those e bikes. But there's aren't the bikes that should be racing. I say y'all should get Ethan smolik on one of his bikes to race whoever has the fastest e bike on the market. And not just a sprint race. I'm talking a high speed endurance race.

man you can get pull starts and all kinds of options for a motorized bike . upgrades . and come on its range is endless . sure there loud and smell of fuel but i can go farther faster and more places then that electric bike . some electric bikes are cool but they all have the same problem charge time . dont see to many places around the side of the road for charging them ether . no way a electric bike will ever beat a motorized bike . besides i think your video is a little bias .

Ebikes need 12+ hours to recharge.
So the ebike is only good for short distances both ways.
The gasbike is good for any distance. Mix oil/gas and go 100+ miles...

You can go suck that. This 140$ engine kit pretty much matched a 600$ e bike kit. This guy didnt treat the gas bike fairly. If he got a 600$ gas bike kit, it would have crushed the E bike.
The E bike is for people who have a car and just want to be lazy, the gas powered motor is for the person which that would be there only transportation option.
If you live in the country get an motorized bike if in the city get an ebike

Just the whole battery charging thing seems like a waste when 1Gallon equals 120miles for my gas bike.. I'd rather just install a 2.4gallon motorcycle tank and run it close to 300miles til fillup.
