I’ve been using this fly a lot lately. I tye them in all combos of colors. But as usual I learn something from your technique. Easy peasy. Thank you.

@@markbenn1907 I mostly use a chenille that simulates a peacock herl. But I’ll also try just plan old dubbing, hares ear usually and pick it out to make it buggy. It’s a great fly and easy to tie

@@wingman8447 oh thank you, nice idea to just substitute hares ear👍🏻

This reminds me of Lance Egan's method except he ties the front legs with enough space to separate the legs and bead with one final wrap. I've adopted only 4 legs on my Pats too because the fish aren't counting the legs as Lance says.

What I find to help when I need to crank something out is stage everything and then everything just goes

This is one of the most consistent patterns here on the lower Sacramento river here in NorCal.

This was a secret guide fly for a couple of years on the Lower Sac. It was just called a Rubber Legs. Pat of the Fly Shop was not the inventor

Tim, how many times are you going to make a video on this fly? Are you out of ideas? I have 2 videos on my playlist that you made.

It’s a good idea to be able to tie and carry multiple versions of Pat’s Rubber Legs. It is an extremely effective fly in just about all its forms.

Even if Tim made 10 videos of the same fly I would still watch all of them over and over again!

I liked all three. I still do the extended body one but glad to watch this. Keep it up Tim.
