Hi. I love your videos and you are so cute! :) I have the same skin type as you and for years now, I have been using Thayers Rose and Witch Hazel toner (has to be the rose one, their other toner didn't do much for me). You can find it at Wholefoods.
When it comes to skin care, you are literally the ONLY person I trust recommending products. I remember watching your "My Favorite Skincare Products!" video a few months back, tried a few of the products you mentioned, and they did nothing but wonders to my skin! 😊✨
You don't even know how much i love you for making this video. I have very dry and sensitive skin and it's so hard to find people who talk about that and give good advice. And its also very hard to find products that actually work and don't make my skin even worse. I'm definitly trying some of these peoduct. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE YOU.
Kathleen, we need an updated skin care routine! I love it when you do this and your skin is so FLAWLESS! Also, will you also be able to film a video with drugstore skin care? We have the same exact kind of skin! I am asking for too much I know. That's only because I LOVE YOU!!!! lmao
Katherine Robertson Please remember ymmv, these products may work perfectly for Kathleen but may work horribly for you, she's just giving product recommendations.
Katherine Robertson And also she is very young so her skin is great. I'm so glad that she has started early on her skin care. So important. Sun protection being the KEY tho!
Recommendations and also always do my own research. Ingredients and so on. I tried the first aid one, and I think it was too heavy for my under eye. It was also a sample, so not really enough to see a huge diff.
***** I know. Very true. I have spent much money on things that didnt work even if they came highly recommended. Trial and error. But yes hun, you are right.
Hands down, my most favourite youtuber. The humour, anecdotes, spontaneous and energetic personality makes beauty FUN. Your skin and makeup is always flawless, which in turn makes me want to purchase all of the products you mention. Please keep doing whatever it is you're doing!
Sarocha B I use the Alpha Hydroxy AHA Souffle (12% Glycolic Acid) and it's a fabulous chemical exfoliant. It also has the "best" rating on Paula's Choice
Kathleen, you're the reason I started using Nite-A-Mins. I thought my skin was combo-oily, but I always get super dry, flaky skin in winter, so I tried it & it completely changed my skin. It no longer gets super oily or super dry. It balanced it out. Thank you for raving about it!
anything with a name like drunk elephant must be the shit ;) :-ppppppp hold up, hold up.. say what? 95 dollars??? daaaaaamn! that elephant getting drunk off some Dom Perignon & shit
You are amazing, Kathleen! after all your reccomendations most of the time I also check the products in Paula's choice webside where all the ingredients are listed and after Philosophy's Purity it says "This cleanser is overloaded with irritating ingredients. The fact that it is listed as “Best of Sephora” merely means that lots of Sephora customers are using a cleanser that is hurting their skin. Fragrant oils are abundant in this cleanser, and all of them contain volatile components that are irritating to skin. Philosophy also included black pepper extract, just in case the fragrant oils weren’t irritating enough. Those of you who use this cleanser may not see the irritation it causes because most of the irritation is taking place under the skin, where collagen is being damaged and free-radical damage is being generated, but it is happening nonetheless. For the health of your skin and your beauty budget, please consider switching to a truly gentle water-soluble cleanser." I hope it was helpful ;) take care of your skin ;)
Hi i am just a makeup artist from fl , I liked your video ! I love skin care. It's so important! A couple years ago I read an article on skin care by doctors And they said that washing your face in the morning Strips your face from good oils that help Restore your skin from your skincare routine from the night before, it's completely unnecessary. Simply rinsing your face and putting a light day cream and sun protection is all you need in the morning ! You only want to wash your face with a cleanser to remove makeup and dirt, when you wake up your skin isn't dirty unless your pillow case isn't clean 👀 I tried it and my skin is 100 x better !! I wish I could paste the article I read. It explained it a lot better! Xoxox
Just in case you want an easier product to get instead of bioderma online and having to pay for shipping etc simple and garnier make micellar water that I swear by it removes makeup (face and eyes) like a dream and doesn't leave your skin irritated I live in Ireland so I don't know how much bioderma is but I know simple and garnier's micellar water is cheap and you can get it at the drugstore and the supermarket. Just thought I'd let you know to make your life easier p.s love you 😍😘
I'm so glad you mentioned using an AHA because so many people don't bother to think about the chemistry behind their skincare and can end up damaging their skin. I hope people see this and look into it! AHA products make your skin photosensitive so you NEED to wear a sunscreen or SPF product with them! At LEAST SPF 15 but ideally higher. (Yes, even very dark skinned people). BHAs (a different type of chemical exfoliant that's particularly good for oily skin, though using both AHAs and BHAs at the same time is totally ok) don't make your skin photosensitive but are less efficient for dry skin.
just a tip, I have really dry skin and I use the ponds dry skin cream as my moisturizer and it works wonders!! so if you're looking for a cheaper drugstore moisturizer I'd recommend that one
I immediately went to sephora to buy the drunk elephant serum and OMG after the first night I've noticed such a great improvement on my skin!! Thank you so much Kat! You have seriously helped save my skin!!
***** It's the only cream which has made any difference on the bags and darknes under my eyes. I sometimes use it together with Kiehl's Facial Fuel Eye De-Puffer stick. Good luck! :)
i so happy that you get that, makeup to make you natural self pop vs so many girls i know just layer and hide themselves under makeup , trying find good skin care stuff that work for you is such challenge that can changes over time and with what you eat .
just explored an abandoned church with friends and got it on camera! The experience was amazing and we literally heard GHOST CHURCH MUSIC PLAYING! I just uploaded the video on youtube!
I always loved all things haunted and supernatural when I was young which was a loooong time ago still do. My mother and other relatives used to call priests to visit me like I possessed or something. Very funny. Now it's all the rage! Anyway drunken elephant is a good company and it is a good product for sensitive skin but AHAs glycolic acid is easy for company's to make. I would check out other products as well much cheaper. A good 20%vitamin c + e + ferulic acid if interested at Timeless skin care HF5OFF discount code they might have AHAs. Wear sunscreen especially when using any serums. Enough blabbering. Love you Kathleen !
Honestly, coconut oil has changed my life. 4 years ago i had horrible skin, and everything I put on it made me more irritated. I did some research and read how great coconut oil is for moisturizing. It also is really good for acne scarring. I was using it twice a day, but now i use it in the morning, and Benefits Total Moisture at night. My breakouts are minimal, and are usually just hormonal nowadays. Loved this video, Kathleen! xoxox
Gosh thank you so much for adding a clip of you using the products. And thank you for putting up a second video in a row. This is why you are my favorite. Please don't ever freaking change like a lot of RUclipsrs out there that are just money hungry (I know you won't though). I'm so happy I found you 8 months ago. You literally make me want to buy everything that you recommend lol. Anyways I know you don't know me and I don't know you personally but I still wanna say that I laaavvvv yaaaaah! Haha.
my mom taught me very young to take good care of my skin.. I'd say around 13 and I didn't really take it seriously untill high school and now that I'm in college I'm so thankful because my skin has improved so much and the stress I'm under only gets worse, and if I hadn't taken care of my skin early on I'd have a lot of back tracking to do. START YOUNG IF YOU CAN! YOUR FUTURE SELF WILL THANK YOU.
I have sensitive dry/combo skin. I used to suffer from acne. One thing - Dove (white, the regular one) soap bar. That's what I use to wash, and take off my makeup. Alot of people wouldn't expect it but it works amazing. Also I used witch hazel when I had acne! Xoxo
I absolutely LOVE the cereve moisturizer, best moisturizer I have ever used! It really took care of my dry skin! I used to struggle a lot with dry skin, but after using the cereve moisturizer my dry skin was no longer a problem!
YAASS! KathleenLights I was wondering when you would do another one. I loved your first one and to this day- some of your routine products are my Holy Grail- hello Origins, and the Green Tea Scrub! Thanks for sharing mama!! ;) xo.... fashion chalet
KathleenLights Yay! Have you tried their 'A Perfect World' antioxidant cleanser with White Tea? It's dreamy. I actually picked it up in my last Sephora order with a big Laura Mercier hilight (my deluxe sample is so good I needed a big mama one too! Lolll..) ;)
my undereye game is definitely not on point. I hope you're right about the Kiehls cream because I took your word for it and ordered it immediately. fingers crossed!
I love Bioderma!! So glad that I saw it on your channel :). Just want to warn you that the purity cleanser you used in this video will damage the skin over time. It doesn't harm the surface...but it affects the deeper layers so you don't see the damage right away. It is overloaded with irritating ingredients and I wanted to warn you...you may not see the irritation it causes because most of the irritation is taking place under the skin, where collagen is being damaged and free-radical damage is being generated.
i'm a swimmer, so my skin is extremely sensitive and a little bit damaged, so i've tried using 1/3 of organic apple cider vinegar and 2/3 of water as a toner, it works perfectly and i haven't seen dryness or breakouts at all since i started using it.. its suuuper cheap and a very natural option, perfect for sensitive skin :) love you!! xoxo from mexico city
This is exactly how I personally feel about skin care too. As much as I love high quality cosmetic items it's always important to take care of our skin first and treat them with the best products. Ever since I started being really serious about my skin care and feeding my face with beneficial and natural products (bought or made) I have felt much more confident with my bare skin. It's so great once you've found the right products and stick to a routine that works. I find that I don't need to put as much makeup like I use to before and it's such a time saver (and money saver haha). I'm really glad you made this video it's no wonder why you have such a beautiful bare face Kat ;)
I've seen people throw thousands of money on skincare and get break outs anyway... Not saying they don't work, but they're not perfect either (We still get hormonal breakouts ;-; sigh). I used to spend a lot on skincare too but nowadays I just focus more on natural alternatives like coconut oil, rose hip oil, apple cider vinegar, and witch hazel, which tend to be much less expensive. I don't really see the difference in my skin before I used expensive skincare products and after I started using cheaper alternatives. I mainly focus on cleaning the skin gently but thoroughly, apply sunscreen during the day and moisturize enough for the night. I know a lot of people have sensitive skin so they can't be throwing random stuff on their faces like me, so I guess I'm sort of lucky to get away with caring not much about expensive skincare. For anyone who gets minor break outs with combo to oily skin, I highly highly recommend Apple cider vineger and witch hazel toner!!! I just mix the two half and half and while it smells pretty bad, it keeps my breakouts at bay. And you can make a ton for so cheap too... I heard if you can get organic unfiltered Apple cider vinegar, it's even better! I wouldn't recommend it if you're sensitive though, not sure what effect it might have on those skins.. I think if you want to see drastic drastic skin changes, plastic surgery is the way to go. I mean for stuff like removing dark spots, scars and all that jazz. Those are pretty tough to remove with just skincare alone. I feel like it's cheaper to go through laser therapy to remove those in one go than to spend thousands of dollars on skincare hoping they will go away one day. But I understand it's people's own business what they do or don't with their money and their body lol... Oh and for those who are concerned with anti-aging skincare, I believe that using proper sun protection and moisturizing well (after cleansing properly of course) will do much more than just slapping on anti-aging serum on skin every night (I'm guessing they would be much more effective if you could do both!).
I'm interested in Apple cider vinegar. Actually I bought it and the smell is ....omg I can't even describe. Can I mix it with water? Or just use it. I don't know how exactly. Do you guys leave it on overnight or just wipe it off?
C. Wachiropathum I use it like a toner. You can dilute it with filtered water or witch hazel (which is what I do), and the ratio depends on your skin type.. I use 50:50 of witch hazel and apple cider vinegar, and I use it like a toner: I put some on cotton pad and wipe my face with it. You don't really let it sit on your face.
+Sema Avalith But you should let it a toner set on your face! you shouldn't wash it off! I say this because you said that you should use the apple cider vinegar like you would with a toner.
I bought one of the Konjac sponges after watching this (I got the green clay one because I have combination skin, yay me) and OH MY GOSH my skin has literally never felt so clean. This is why I always trust your recommendations, thank you Kathleen!
I have sensitive skin but I am combo/oily, you might like the First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser, it doesn't dry my skin, gets ALL my makeup off, and it has a fair price :-) you can get it at Sephora
Hey! I have the same skin type as yours and I was just wondering if you know any good drugstore makeup remover wipes? All the ones for sensitive skin that I've tried sting really bad. Thanks!
AcousticChick16 I use the Yes to Cucumbers ones, they don't irritate my skin and they don't leave my skin with a weird film after using them, only drawback is they don't work well for around the eyes. If I want ones to use around my eyes, the Neutrogena ones in the light blue pack are ok.
Almay's Oil-free makeup wipes in the purple package! My skin seems to hate most makeup wipes and it stings! Especially the Neutrogena ones. I tried the Almay ones and they are awesome! No stinging at all. I like them also because sometimes with makeup wipes I feel like I have to go in a bit rough but with the Almay ones I start off wiping with a bit of pressure and then very gently keep wiping back and forth pretty much no pressure and everything comes off.
I have super duper dry and sensitive skin, too. I have a Kangen water machine that has a pH 6.0 "Beauty Water" setting. Perfect toner! Most mornings, I just wipe my face down with that while I make my coffee, and I feel like I don't even need a cleanser afterward. I also LOVE LOVE the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Eye also! I bought the serum after trying the cream, and I wish I would have bought the cream. It is SO SO much better for my under eyes. My lightweight day cream is Clinique Moisture Surge. I think you'd like that one, too. It is very lightweight. (Not the "intense" one; just the regular one). The only non-drying cleanser I've found is the one that came with my Clarisonic (Gentle Hydro Cleanser), but I really want to try the Philosophy one after watching your video. I know the video is like 7 months old now, so I'm wondering if you still use the Drunk Elephant Framboos Glycolic Night Serum? Looking for a new serum for when the Kiehl's one is empty! Thanks for your videos!!
***** PLEASE DO NOT USE BAKING SODA OR TOOTHPASTE ON YOUR SKIN!!! Baking Soda has a pH level of 9, toothpaste has a pH level of ~8 (depends on type of toothpaste) and your skin is roughly a pH 4.5-5. Meaning, if you use products that are too alkaline, the skin barrier will become disrupted or damaged.
Alexa Greenleaf any serum/treatement with 0.5 - 4% salicylic acid with a pH between 3 - 3.5 will do the job. Do not use baking soda on your skin. Please!
I also am looking for a product to reduce pores. I'm currently using Lancôme Visionaire. I though it was working at first, but now my skin is the same, but smells fabulous. Does anyone know of anything that works even a little bit? I wash my face every night but my pores on my nose are still visible during the day. I hate it! I use Porefessional, but feel like it's probably making the problem worse.
Shellsj like Somergirl101 said, use a serum/treatment with salicylic acid in it. I'd recommend looking into BHA and AHA exfoliants. Also, doing a clay mask 1-2 times a week really helps too! I highly recommend aztec secret indian healing clay with apple cider vinegar, that mask has worked complete wonders on my skin!
I only buy things that you recommend because my face isn't dry, but its sensitive like yours. & so far you've been my lifesaver. So now you're gonna help me more. Thank you !!!!!
Flawless skin!!! But I was wondering Could you put the links for these products you mention next time you do a face video next to the description of the item? Only reason I ask is because I have been trying to find a legit Bioderma (I have purchased them in the past and I don't think it was from the states). :)
CSerrano4909 Hey thank you so much for the reply! I feel like nobody ever replies when I ask questions haha. :) I appreciate it. Iw as just about to watch the video again to see what website she talked about. Thank you!!!
I started using organic Emu oil blended with lavender oil for my face after I shower at night and I LOVE IT SO MUCH! I have dry skin too, blotchy, red, peely...all those things and this improves it SO much! It's fairly inexpensive (emu oil 4 oz is $22 on amazon and Lavender oil varies but you can get one for less than $10) and it lasts FOREVER because you use maybe a dime sized amount and it does your whole face, neck and chest. Emu is the most penetrating oil for us human folk and its anti inflammatory and all kinds of great stuff! I used to use coconut oil as a cleanser but its just too much of an oily feel. Emu sinks in and makes you look awake and fresh and dewey.
KATHLEEN! are you still using this skin care routine?? I literally have the same skin as you 😝LOL. crazy I know! I am always trying to find things for this crazy skin of mine. Thanks 💋
This is my 35406644 time watching this video😭 we have the same skin and partly because I just like watching your vid, I'm such a skincare junkie😭. It's been over a year now update please😊
This video was extremely helpful and I definitely plan on trying a few of these products out. I would love to see an updated video of your current skin care routine if it has changed at all! Also, I try to use paraben-free products and realized that the purity cleanser is not paraben-free :( Are there any similar alternatives that you (or anyone reading this) could recommend that are paraben-free?
I get so annoyed when I hear Tubers say things like "I buy the small bottle because it's a lot cheaper than the big bottle." More often than not you save money in the long one when you buy the big bottle. But you do you boo
Monserrat Cortes true! If they can save money why not? They're constantly trying new things so no point in having full size if they're not sure they're gonna like it.
I LOVE the Korres Greek Yoghurt 3 in 1 cleansing, toning, & eye makeup removing emulsion! I also have extremely dry, sensitive skin and I love this stuff!
Heyy kath! Have you ever heard of micelair water? (I hope im writing it right haha) I use it (from ganier) and it's amazing! It's my holy grail and feels like water as well, it's also for sensitive skin so I really think you should try it :) Love, rachell PS. I'm obsessed with you're videos, you're amaziggg
Karla Sosa if your skin is getting puffy with any redness or soreness, you might be allergic to it. Id stop using it for a week and try something else instead, see if it makes a difference :)
I like a product called Sensibio cream by Bioderma! I used to get a type of rosacea and my doctor also told me to avoid the sun, that it causes inflammation.
I just went to my dermatologist for the same reason and for excessive dryness. She prescribed me a cream called Metronidazole. It only been since recent that my rosacea has flared up but she told me to try that as well as a cleanser for gentle skin. She told me to try the Cetaphil or Cerave which I've been using and it's gotten a bit better but because of the sun and heat it's not as great as it could be. I was watching Tati here on RUclips and she said that her face gets a bit congested, which is pretty much what's going on, and she uses the Neutrogena Rapid wrinkle repair moisturizer for Night time(they have a day time one too) and it goes away. I've only tried it once so I can't say much on it but I wanna try using it every night to see if it'll help.
Thank you sooo much for this! The way you describe your skin is exactly how my skin is! I always love to hear what skincare items you have been using! Love you Kathleen!
Delfina M You should also look into using sunscreen every time you go outside (even if it's just to walk to your car or something)! The sun darkens those spots and scars, so protecting them from the sun will lighten them up a bunch.
go on amazon and get kojic acid soap!!!!!!!!!! dudu osun soap is amazing as well but id try the kojic first. its drying so make sure to moisturize... i am finally acne scar free! also swiss botany mask
@kathleenlights have you heard of the makeup eraser? It's a face cleansing cloth that you just use water and it literally takes off all your make up! It changed my life, but recently I have found the h2o at home face cloth and love it so much more because they have a soap bar that goes with it that you can use to clean your cloth right after you use it. The make up eraser does not, you have to throw it in the washer.
Distilled water and organic apple cider vinegar is honestly the best toner. Just adjust the amount of cider vinegar in the solution to how sensitive your skin is. Keeping it in the fridge will also help with a 'cooling/soothing' sensation when you put the toner on
That eye cream...... Does it claim to get rid of darkness under the eyes?Cause I haves friend that never wears makeup, she came to me and asked me to teach her how to put makeup on because she starting to really hate the darkness. So if could recommend this and it works I could save her the trouble of wearing making because I know she prefers not to.
It does not say that it is for dark circles I have the same problem and I used it and it really helps! Although khiels has one that it says it is for dark circle but I havent used it.
I'll definitely be trying out the eye cream! I love how excited you get when talking about products, it shows you really love them and what they do. Oh and I never noticed you had a heart tattoo on your finger before.
Holy crap this was sooooo helpful! I also have super dry skin that's wicked sensitive (like to the point of some "gentle" face masks and foundations burn around my nose and mouth) and it's always super hard finding products that work without hurting or cause me to break out. But once you mentioned that the drunk elephant serum stopped with the bumps I was completely sold! I've had those bumps and tiny whiteheads all over my face for years and haven't found anything to get rid of them. Now im gonna buy everything you mentioned. Bless your soul. Srsly.
Hey Kathleen! loved this video. About that Purity made Simple. I stopped using it after reading Paula Begoun's review. I'll copy paste it below. Maybe check it out? Review Overview This cleanser is overloaded with irritating ingredients. For the health of your skin and your beauty budget, please consider switching to a truly gentle water-soluble cleanser.
i want your skin... SO bad. my skin is horrible and bumpy and i have spots like 24/7. i just want fresh and nice and soft and pure and bright and beautiful skin, just like yours
I totally agree on saving on cleanser and splurging on serum and moisturizer. I stopped getting acne fighting cleanser because I realized it wasn't on my face long enough to matter and I should just use something gentle that gets the dirt and make up off. Serums are expensive generally but because they're so potent and packed with active ingredients. I really want that Drunk Elephant serum now. I'm sure I could find something with the same ingredients for less, but I want a miracle in a bottle to help with my break outs and congestion in my pores. I actually just had my first facial and she recommended some glycolic acid to help with my blackheads. So it's a sign I should get it!! Lol Love your videos! Can't wait for your mask video!
Kathleen, you may really enjoy Lush's Eau Roma Water toner! No alcohol and very basic ingredients. It's designed specifically for sensitive skin and helps to reduce redness.
An alpa hydroxy acid will get rid of them! I'm currently using alpha hydrox's 10% glycolic acid (may be too strong at first for others) and diluted apple cider vinegar (also an aha) to get rid of mine
I just had the worst breakout on my face for the first time in my life and I literally just went to sephora and bought all the things that you mentioned that I could buy there lol. Love your videos!! Xoxo
Help anyone? So i have Oily skin Acne prone & with Acne scars .... I've tried different products for my acne but it just seems to not go away. Any suggestions on what i should try ? Please & thank you ! :)
dont listen to them! Dont go to a doctor it doesn't work ive been in one and it wasn't working. It creating more acne i just stoped going and im trying natural remedies im trying african black soap and using apple cider viniger so far i still have acne scars and 1 or 2 pimples but i see a huge difference my acne scars are going away! 😄
Thank you so much for making this video! I've recently been getting more into skincare, but a lot of things I've tried haven't made that much of a difference. I'm definitely saving this video for future reference.
My mom has always been a skincare freak and taught me how to take care of my skin and I am only 17 too, it's always good to start early and I've been doing all of this since middle school. 😊💖
GURL, if you order the serum off of their direct website (Drunk Elephant) you get if for $90... I know, it just $5, but still dats 5 whole dolllasss ;)
Forgot to mention that I love using the Colleen Rothschild Eye Cream in the morning! #FAIL anyway, love you guys!!!!!
I heard started hearing about the Drunk Elephant. They have awesome stuff 👍🏻😍
Love you too 😘😍
KathleenLights has usado el toner de Clarins? es buenisimo Saludos desde México
+KathleenLights I left a comment that could help you if you replied it would mean the world to me 🙏🏼
I LOVE YOU.
(You're by the way very pretty and your skin looks flawless omg)
Kathleen, we need an updated skin care routine! I love it when you do this and your skin is so FLAWLESS! Also, will you also be able to film a video with drugstore skin care? We have the same exact kind of skin! I am asking for too much I know. That's only because I LOVE YOU!!!! lmao
If I had that much money I would sooo buy all of these products because your skin is FLAWLESS
Oooh those sound great. I don't think I have tried khiels. But Kat swore on the eye cream. I will have to check them out. Thanks girl.
Your skin is flawless! So clear that I want to skate on it
HHAHAHHA shut up lmao that was funny
Omg hahaha
haha 😂
I love you kathleen. You are so hilarious... " I have bumps..like a road". Lmao. I do it too so join da club..xoxo
Hahahahah
KathleenLights omg I am going to sound corny but I feel so honored you wrote back to me. I recently found your videos and I immediately subscribed.
i want to try the drunk elephant serum so bad!!
Try going to sephora and asking for a sample
Me too
I use Alpha H Liquid Gold and everything said in the video could be said for this product as well
Sarocha B the ole henriksen invigorating gel is a very similar alternative for anyone wanting to try something less expensive first
Sarocha B I use the Alpha Hydroxy AHA Souffle (12% Glycolic Acid) and it's a fabulous chemical exfoliant.
So happy you filmed this because your skin is serious so FLAWLESS!!
amynicole Aww thank you!!
Hi i am just a makeup artist from fl , I liked your video ! I love skin care. It's so important!
A couple years ago I read an article on skin care by doctors
And they said that washing your face in the morning Strips your face from good oils that help Restore your skin from your skincare routine from the night before, it's completely unnecessary. Simply rinsing your face and putting a light day cream and sun protection is all you need in the morning ! You only want to wash your face with a cleanser to remove makeup and dirt, when you wake up your skin isn't dirty unless your pillow case isn't clean 👀
I tried it and my skin is 100 x better !!
Just thought I'd let you know to make your life easier p.s love you 😍😘
Please like so Kathleen will see 🙏🏼
I have an exam at 9 am in the morning and it's 3.15 am in the UK.. Watching this to fall asleep because your voice is soothing 😴
You have such a wonderful personality! So glad I found your channel!
Hannah Renée Thank you! That means a lot!
I love you Hann💛
Keihls Midnight Recovery Eye Cream is my Holy Grale!
Wooooo!
***** It's the only cream which has made any difference on the bags and darknes under my eyes. I sometimes use it together with Kiehl's Facial Fuel Eye De-Puffer stick. Good luck! :)
***** I have really bad dark circles I am going to order it and see the results. I really hope its going to help my dark under eye.
Where do you get it from?
www.kissandmakeupny.com/ :)
i so happy that you get that, makeup to make you natural self pop vs so many girls i know just layer and hide themselves under makeup , trying find good skin care stuff that work for you is such challenge that can changes over time and with what you eat .
just explored an abandoned church with friends and got it on camera! The experience was amazing and we literally heard GHOST CHURCH MUSIC PLAYING! I just uploaded the video on youtube!
I checked it out oh and youre rly attractive :3
stepp90s if you're into that stuff you should check out my video I made about my house being haunted!
Ashley Jayne oh nice
Ashley Jayne i just subbed :)
I'm obsessed with how flawless your skin is
Your background is PERRRFFEECTTT
I know! ❤️ btw: I love your videos!
Margaret Gaston Thank you so much!! ❤️
Thank you!!!
Haha.
Aww thank you!!!!!!! I laaaaav yaaa back
my mom taught me very young to take good care of my skin.. YOUR FUTURE SELF WILL THANK YOU.
you look perfect without makeup on
No! You do!
I have sensitive dry/combo skin. I used to suffer from acne. One thing - Dove (white, the regular one) soap bar. That's what I use to wash, and take off my makeup. Alot of people wouldn't expect it but it works amazing. Also I used witch hazel when I had acne! Xoxo
Such beautiful skin and a super informative video. Any chance for a 2016 routine or update of recommendations? Love your vids 💕
+kathleenlights pls pls
Yes pls pls please!!!!!!!!!!
YES PLEASE!
Thanks for sharing mama!! ;) xo.... fashion chalet
fashion chalet Love me some Origins!
KathleenLights Yay! Have you tried their 'A Perfect World' antioxidant cleanser with White Tea? It's dreamy. I actually picked it up in my last Sephora order with a big Laura Mercier hilight (my deluxe sample is so good I needed a big mama one too! Lolll..) ;)
fashion chalet Haven't tried it!!!
fashion chalet make one of your routine? :)
KathleenLights I love your clothes here- so cute & laid back; like you ;)
I love the philosophy cleanser too!
Look at that beautiful face you have such amazing skin xx
I love ur channel ❤️
my undereye game is definitely not on point. I hope you're right about the Kiehls cream because I took your word for it and ordered it immediately. fingers crossed!
AreYOUaSpider I ordered it a couple months back because of her and trust me when I say you will not regret it at all!
Marisol Santoyo haha awesome, still waiting on mine to arrive. verry excited to try it!
Where did you get it from?? I'm not sure where to buy it from
I ordered it directly from the kiehls website. Such a great buy!
8io
Can I download your skin please xD
Eve Attwood lmao
Lololol
Eve Attwood hahaha!!! I know right?!
Haha
+HelloImEve If only. Count me in!
I can't believe you have 1 million subscribers already! I'm a person who's been watching you since around the time you've started. You are amazing!
The Paula's choice AhA is much more reasonable in price . I love her stuff
i'm a swimmer, so my skin is extremely sensitive and a little bit damaged, so i've tried using 1/3 of organic apple cider vinegar and 2/3 of water as a toner, it works perfectly and i haven't seen dryness or breakouts at all since i started using it.. its suuuper cheap and a very natural option, perfect for sensitive skin :) love you!! xoxo from mexico city
Can you do an updated skincare routine for 2016??
Yes please
Oh and for those who are concerned with anti-aging skincare, I believe that using proper sun protection and moisturizing well (after cleansing properly of course) will do much more than just slapping on anti-aging serum on skin every night (I'm guessing they would be much more effective if you could do both!).
honestly apple cider vinegar is the only thing that reduced the small acne like bumps on my face!
I'm interested in Apple cider vinegar. Actually I bought it and the smell is ....omg I can't even describe. Can I mix it with water? Or just use it. I don't know how exactly. Do you guys leave it on overnight or just wipe it off?
Thank you so much. How long you let it on before you wipe it off?
I say this because you said that you should use the apple cider vinegar like you would with a toner.
i really like the natural color of your eyelids for some reason
theyre like pink-ish and cute
you look so ridiculously beautiful without makeup! ♥♥♥
That is by far my favorite face cleanser!
I have heard the Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes are good but my skin for some reason was irritated by them (maybe a bad sample pack?)
Does anyone have any skin care recommendations for reducing pores/blackheads and oily skin?
I forgot to mention that you are so naturally beautiful Kathleen. Congrats on your success. You deserve it.
Hey Kathleen- will you do an updated 2016 skincare routine...I love to see what products you are using..Thanks :)
Such a natural beauty ! you don't need no makeup to be awesome !! even though we enjoy makeup so much !!
Flawless skin!!! But I was wondering Could you put the links for these products you mention next time you do a face video next to the description of the item? Only reason I ask is because I have been trying to find a legit Bioderma (I have purchased them in the past and I don't think it was from the states). :)
Beautylish.com carries them! I ordered for my sister and myself and we love them
CSerrano4909 Hey thank you so much for the reply! I feel like nobody ever replies when I ask questions haha. :) I appreciate it. Iw as just about to watch the video again to see what website she talked about. Thank you!!!
ArrianC. I second the beautylish recommendation, they carry a ton of great products. Plus they write the cutest notes and shipping is really quick.
You are my FAVORITE source for finding new products! thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!
can you do an updated skincare routine !!!!!!please !!!
Kathleen please do a video on face masks, I would love to what type of natural products you use as well or what you use to cure a breakout.
You have beautiful skin!
Thanks 💋
Kiehls midnight recovery eye is a GAME CHANGER! I was never a believer in super effective eye creams...THIS IS IT
YOU ARE A GODESS WTF YOUR SKIN IS SO FLAWLESS
The Drunk Elephant serum is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I got so excited when I saw you use it also! It does wonders for my skin
This is my 35406644 time watching this video😭 we have the same skin and partly because I just like watching your vid, I'm such a skincare junkie😭. It's been over a year now update please😊
Your logic on everything is so helpful and smart. I could watch your videos alllll dayyyyyyy
I love how many videos you post! Never disappoints either. Kathleen you quickly became my fav you tubers. Seeing you posted makes me happy xo
Sooo this video is costing me $300... at least... XD
😭😭😂
😓
Your skincare videos are lethal! They always make me go on skincare shopping sprees haha!
I get so annoyed when I hear Tubers say things like "I buy the small bottle because it's a lot cheaper than the big bottle."
More often than not you save money in the long one when you buy the big bottle. But you do you boo
Yea but they're beauty bloggers so they are constantly trying new things
Monserrat Cortes true! If they can save money why not? They're constantly trying new things so no point in having full size if they're not sure they're gonna like it.
Sabrina, are u having a bad day? There's no need to bash Kathleen, shes a sweetheart.
Well I assume since she said she keeps buying the item I'm referring to, she likes it and is going to keep purchasing it, so why not save money?
Lauri what does having a bad day have to do with you tubers doing silly things? Never mind there's no good answer
It's my holy grail and feels like water as well, it's also for sensitive skin so I really think you should try it :)
Love, rachell
PS. I'm obsessed with you're videos, you're amaziggg
Bioderma is a form of micellar water!
The Bioderma she mentioned is micellar water from France. Garnier is the knock off drug store version :)
With the Garnier Micellar my face was very puffy at mornings. Does anybody know why that happened to me?
Karla Sosa if your skin is getting puffy with any redness or soreness, you might be allergic to it. Id stop using it for a week and try something else instead, see if it makes a difference :)
Bioderma IS micellar water.
Updated skin care routine for 2016?? Loved this video!
Any skincare products/tips for diminishing rosacea/bad redness?
Yes! Aquamarina by Lush. My sister has the same problem and swears by it
I like a product called Sensibio cream by Bioderma! I used to get a type of rosacea and my doctor also told me to avoid the sun, that it causes inflammation.
Any skin care products that says calming or soothing. Also products with ingredients such as cucumber, aloe, mint, and rose.
Sorry, for sensitive skin lol. I wasn't thinking about what I was typing.
Omg if you love the midnight recovery eye cream you'll love the midnight recovery concentrate!! Sooooo good! It's a holy grail of mine now!
static-ish? that only means one thing.

Thank you sooo much for this! The way you describe your skin is exactly how my skin is! I always love to hear what skincare items you have been using! Love you Kathleen!
I have lots of acne scars and dark spots. Do you recommend anything for that?
Delfina M Look into using a product with niacinamide in it! This ingredient is scientifically proven to lighten acne scares and PIH
Delfina M I just watched RUclipsr Rachel Whitehurst and she said the Fresh Peony Brightening Night Treatment Mask helped fade her acne spots! xx
Delfina M You should also look into using sunscreen every time you go outside (even if it's just to walk to your car or something)! The sun darkens those spots and scars, so protecting them from the sun will lighten them up a bunch.
KaitouLiz I always wear sunscreen. I don't miss a day.
go on amazon and get kojic acid soap!!!!!!!!!! dudu osun soap is amazing as well but id try the kojic first. its drying so make sure to moisturize... i am finally acne scar free! also swiss botany mask
I want to try that serum from drunk elephant so bad but $$$$
Distilled water and organic apple cider vinegar is honestly the best toner.
You're a good friend for wanting to help! Keep being you! ;)
tell her to try vitamin C serum :) and to drink more water!:
It does not say that it is for dark circles I have the same problem and I used it and it really helps! Although khiels has one that it says it is for dark circle but I havent used it.
It did for me!!
I'll definitely be trying out the eye cream! I love how excited you get when talking about products, it shows you really love them and what they do. Oh and I never noticed you had a heart tattoo on your finger before.
are you still using the same products?
Holy crap this was sooooo helpful! I also have super dry skin that's wicked sensitive (like to the point of some "gentle" face masks and foundations burn around my nose and mouth) and it's always super hard finding products that work without hurting or cause me to break out. But once you mentioned that the drunk elephant serum stopped with the bumps I was completely sold! I've had those bumps and tiny whiteheads all over my face for years and haven't found anything to get rid of them. Now im gonna buy everything you mentioned. Bless your soul. Srsly.
When does the facemask video is gonna be up?
Xo
Yeah lol I want her to make that video
I think it's the pamper routine one x
Hey Kathleen! loved this video. About that Purity made Simple. I stopped using it after reading Paula Begoun's review. I'll copy paste it below. Maybe check it out?
Review Overview
This cleanser is overloaded with irritating ingredients.
My skin is the same but my nose has sooo many blackheads and literally I'm 13 whyyyyyy
Lol
Love your videos! Can't wait for your mask video!
I GOT A FREE SAMPLE OF THE DRUNK ELEPHANT SERUM AT SEPHORA OMG
How??
i have no clue it just gave me the option to pick!
Kathleen, you may really enjoy Lush's Eau Roma Water toner! No alcohol and very basic ingredients. It's designed specifically for sensitive skin and helps to reduce redness.
Anything else that helps get rids of those pesky bumps😫😫 have them all on my cheek and forehead!!
Ole henriksen invigorating night serum! Pretty much the same thing as the drunken elephant one 56$ CAN 😙
B. Monday ironically ole henriksen serums give me bumps all over my forehead
An alpa hydroxy acid will get rid of them! I'm currently using alpha hydrox's 10% glycolic acid (may be too strong at first for others) and diluted apple cider vinegar (also an aha) to get rid of mine
i'm so glad you showed the clips of you using the products :) some people don't do that and i always like seeing the demos!
Girl, you need to use SPF every single day!!
Go to the doctor! They prescribe proven medication for it and it has saved my skin!
Kate Somerville makes great products for acne prone skin. I love the detox face wash and the anti bac cream. It's made a huge difference for me.
Ingrid Z92 Go to your dermatologist. Don't buy acne stuff from the store. Its best to get medication from an expert.
dont listen to them! 😄
African black soap took my acne away! It's amazing and then I used the derma roller for my scars it works wonders!
Thank you so much for making this video! I've recently been getting more into skincare, but a lot of things I've tried haven't made that much of a difference. I'm definitely saving this video for future reference.
I'm 17, should I start with the skincare stuff?
Definitely you should!
Kimmie Pham okay, thanks!
My mom has always been a skincare freak and taught me how to take care of my skin and I am only 17 too, it's always good to start early and I've been doing all of this since middle school. 😊💖
Vania Belinda skin care should start at 14, so 17 YOU NEED TO START NOW!
cookiejadore1 okay! Thank you lol
Kathleen your skin is absolutely flawless!
GURL, if you order the serum off of their direct website (Drunk Elephant) you get if for $90... I know, it just $5, but still dats 5 whole dolllasss ;)
Sephora has it for $90, too! Maybe after taxes it ends up being about $95 though?
