Just a tip for everyone! I only use organic and natrual products and i use both coconut oil and this mask. Anyone with senstive skin be careful of using the apple cider with the mask although it is recommeneded it can burn the skin because of the acid in the cider. So patch test on the back of your hand. I made the mistake of putting it on my face and burnt my face thankfully it went down over night it was to painful i washed it off instantly. I tried with water, worked fine even rose water. And the hair mask with coconut oil i find leaving it in through my hair for a entire night sleep in it, it wont stain your pillow cases and then shampoo twice in the morning and condition and i promise you it'll be like virign hair! Just some tips i wanted to add if you have senstive skin and extremely dry hair like meeee ^_^
+Rachelle McLeod Do you mean the mask with the vinegar burnt your face? It should be ACV that's diluted to 5% and then it's diluted more when mixed with the clay. Depending on sensitivity you can use a ACV mixed with water then mixed with the clay so it's not too much. :) But yes, water and rose water is fine and I know not everyone can use acidic products on their face.
I just read that this can leave your face at an alkaline PH if done with water, so if you can't use ACV maybe use something after to bring the PH of your skin back down. :)
Is here a certain type of coconut oil that I should use. I tried this and it didn't do anything to my hair! I don't understand 😑😑
earisu I'm very sensitive i had done exactly what you said but i was just too senstive :(
earisu i always tone afterwards and balance the ph back out :3
A little tip on the coconut oil.. to melt it i highly recommend you don't put it into the microwave because it can diminish some of it's properties. if you want to warm it up, put it in a bowl that can get VERY hot, bring some water to a boil on the stove, and then put the bowl over the pot. this gets the oil hot without damaging the oil itself. if you don't want to do that then you can simply scoop it out and warm it in your hands then slather it on. I've noticed a huge difference in how the coconut oil works when i don't nuke it and I've heard a lot of other people say the same thing :)

Tried the coconut oil hair mask for about 25 min and just with that time alone I can definitely see the difference! I have no idea of why I never tried it before.. oh yeah, I've been too lazy to do it, but your video motivated me pamper myself at least for 30 min. As a nursing student, you don't have the privelege to do things like this. Thank you! 👧great vid!👍

I just realized that this video was how I found you. It was the very first kathleenlights video I saw and I remember being impressed by just how chill/laidback you were. So glad I found you! Just about to put this face mask on for the first time even though I've had it for literally ages. I thought it was going to hurt or pulsate and it's not doing any of that; I feel NOTHING. The mask is not expired and my apple cider vinegar is nice and fresh, so I guess it's a pleasant surprise that it doesn't hurt in any way! People had me freaked!
Follow up... oh and I put it on with that Elf pore refining and mask tool brush you recently recommended and that was such a win! Thank you! 💟 I only had to use 1/2 tbsp of both the mask and apple cider vinegar and it completely put a nice, thick coat on my face. EVERYONE needs that mask tool! And now guess what I'm doing... craving hot chocolate and watching you!

I love this video Kathleen! Watching your videos always make my day. I tried using coconut oil on my hair last week and I left it in for 1-2 hours then washed it out and my hair felt oily the next day and my hair never gets oily! I thought I got it all out :( I'll try it again on the weekend and see what happens. And I really want to get that face mask from iherb but I have never tried a face mask before and I'm nervous. I'm 15 and I have never had a pimple before and I'm scared that it will break me out or something :/ Love you xxxxx

You've inspired me to get back into a make up/skin care/hair care routine! I used to be someone who would get ready every single day, or at least do something to even out my skin tone. After being a nurse for 3 years, working in nursing homes and second job working with disabled children, I've just stopped everything because I feel too buay or too tired. My skin is out of control and I'm not sure if it's stress or what but my hair is half as thick as it was, it just falls out everywhere, and so dry and unmanageable that I practically wake up with dreadlocks daily... I can't wait to purchase that mask! I have oily/combo skin to the extreme, so oily I'm like a slick at the end of the day but I have patches so dry that everything clings to them. I'm also very sensitive and acne prone so hopefully it will do "amazing" things for me too! I am a recent subscriber but I've gone back through some of your videos and I must say, thank you for staying yourself! You're also hilarious and I want to be friends with you, lol. Thank you!

Lindsay Oldread hey I have the same problem with losing hair. You should Definitely try Garnier Fructise FALL FIGHT. Get the shampoo, conditioner and leave in spray. It has worked wonders for me! It has almost completely stopped my hair from coming out in the shower. And on their website there is a ton of reviews of women saying how well this worked for them. U can get it at CVS or walmart

it also helps to massage the coconut oil into your scalp as it stimulates the roots and then wrap it in a hot towel for a few minutes to let the steam help the oil sink into the hair ! it's very popular in India !

Also, LOVE the Aztec Secret mask, I just started using it about a week ago, I've used it every night (I know, super extreme, but my skin has issues and I am a licensed Esthetician so I trust myself) and my skin is really starting to look so much better already!! I have adult onset acne and it's pulling all kinds of crap out of my skin!

Kat, I wanted to let you know that microwaving coconut oil actually kills a lot of the natural health benefits of it, even if it's going on your hair. You can use hot water from your Keureg and do a double bowl melt. Coconut oil melts so easily! Love you!
I never like beauty channels, but this is lovely and you are lovely. Keeping it real and using natural products. I already have both products under my sink, but forget to use them! That mask is amazeballs though. I got it for my mom for Christmas. *But there is one caveat. It can clog your drains/pipes (it's clay after all) so be careful!* ✌️☺️

Haha I totally did a face and hair mask Friday too! I love getting the time to do all that and exfoliate too :) I also HATE being cold as well, but I live in Newfoundland so I'm almost always cold. In winter it gets to be -20 degrees Celsius or colder, with lots and lots and lots of snow- bleh. But I still love it here, but the weather sure makes me question my decision to keep living here every winter LOL. I also love watching Young Wild and Polished too :)
