Thank you so much! My sister and I decided about a week ago to head to Bar Harbor for Columbus Day weekend, and having booked so late, everything was packed. I had jotted down some notes from your videos and we had the BEST time! We hit Black Friar Pub (would have never found this without your help). We did Vacationland coffee every morning, We checked out the live music at both the Annex & at Ivy Manor Inn. We even knew to head to Mount Desert Ice Cream, although sadly the Wildflower & Honey flavor was out of season (but we got some great fall options). This weekend was a HUGE success. Thanks again!
Just came back from a trip to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Saw this video Friday morning and had a great cold brew coffee at vacationland and met Chris. We then went the Little Mad Shop which my wife loved!
Great video! Any suggestions for budget lodging? We plan on hiking and biking and eating and spending very little time in our lodging…later in October:)
@@cathyfoto2362 definitely the Anchorage Motel or Main Street Motel are some of the cheaper options. There are the campgrounds as well or places in Northeast Harbor or Inns along the North Coast outside of town that are usually the cheaper options.
Great tour. The Mansion looked neat with the historically correct clothing. Such beautiful views. Nice choices of food and drinks to check out as well.
Love the opening! this place is really picturesque, some of the great food out there and the history is really captivating. Its truly a hidden gem and worth visiting
I think it was a great start of the day! I loved the view you had. The museum with the history of the natives looked really interesting as well! Nice to see about there culture!
I love the shop owner’s story. I understand that feeling of long commutes. Pre-2020, I was in traffic at least 2 hours a day. I ended up finding a remote role so I can commute down the stairs also.
The coffee pup looks very nice, some really interesting mix of flavors and drinks there. The archeology lab looks quite nice, it's interesting to see the relics and the culture of the old tribes. The blackfire pub looks nice, i like the older heritage style pubs, they always tend to have a good atmosphere.
Awesome stuff again man! This is the type of stuff we like to do when we travel to different places. Like I said before, we missed our stop in the Bar Harbor area last summer, so this gives us an idea of some places to check out when we're out that way again. That Little Mad shop is pretty awesome.
Bar Harbor was a cute little town. We were only there for a short period of time. There is so much to do! We definitely need to come back and explore some of the museums and local shops.
Enjoy your videos about Acadia and Bar Harbor. We've been visiting every year for the past few years in September and I use your videos to help with trip planning (especially your hidden gems videos). Will you be back in the area for the 2024 season? Also, what job do you have that allows you to travel as much as you do!?!?
I appreciate the support. I am back in town for the summer. I work at the new Italian Restaurant this year. It's called Porcellis. It's replaced what used to be Salt and Steel. The job I have that allows me to travel like this is my summer gigs and my spring gigs. Summer & Fall up here and spring in Austin Texas. Waiting tables or tending bar

Awesome I'm glad you guys had a great time. Chris is a cool guy. Did you get Patrick to demonstrate the chirpy tops?

@@cathyfoto2362 so late October you may find some decent deals in town itself. Keep track on Booking or check out plannin.com/?refId=TravelingDon

Great Job...I spent so much time in BH as I lived across the Bay in Schoodic
Nice. I love Schoodic.
I love the shop owner’s story. I understand that feeling of long commutes. Pre-2020, I was in traffic at least 2 hours a day. I ended up finding a remote role so I can commute down the stairs also.
I feel ya on that. My last job in Austin was an hour commute during rush hour.

There is quite a bit for such a small town.

I love Lompoc Cafe. My oldest sister had a huge party there the night before her wedding and it was on point! Thanks for sharing!
It's such an amazing little spot. I love Sunday night karaoke there
Ricky!?
Ricky Who?
Did you say Lom pok? Hmm... Well it's not Cali. See you soon.
It's spelt the same too 😂
