Some beautiful scenes there, Kevin, as always.
Thank you, Fran :-)
Thanks Kevin. Very insightful!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Stunning as always, Kev. What never ceases to amaze me is that no matter how close you get with that 18mm, nobody in any part of the frame is looking at you. Do you avoid making eye contact?
Thanks, Alex. I don't purposefully avoid eye contact but I try and be as discreet as possible and I don't "spray and pray" so I'm rarely in one place for more than a second.
Seu trabalho é inspirador 😊
Thank you Kevin, always a joy to see a new video. Beautiful work and approach 👏 I really have to think about making slideshows.. this is great.
Thank you!
Amazing! Love your work!
Thank you so much!
@@kevin_mullins long time fan here. Thanks to you I have started shooting b&w photos and constantly looking for great light.
Greetings from the US! I've been a fan for a while and you are my favorite photographer by far. Love the style, black and white, and the simple beauty of your work.
Thank you. Very kind.
A cracking set of images, and for me as a landscape photographer, an insight into another world. I enjoyed watching that.
Thanks, Paul :-)
Great video Kevin. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Wonderful photography, Kevin ... you are the one of the best.
Thanks 👍
Phenomenal and thank you for the continued inspiration.
My pleasure!
Thank You for sharing your skills .Great video and well presented . A video I will definitely watch again before shooting a Wedding again .Take care💫
Thank you!
The exposure details all show maximum lens apertures. Presumably you don’t shoot everything with lens fully open. I would be interested to understand your approach to aperture selection?
I Shoot in P mode inside so the camera will usually choose the fastest aperture. Outside I make a choice but usually I shoot wide open with the camera set to mechanical and electronic shutter.
These are so good. I wish I was better at weddings, the last few haven't gone so great
Hope things pick up for you soon.
👏🏻
once again, great content (actual work and your presentation) One day I will come over from the continent to attend one of your workshops ,-). May I ask which tool you use to compile your photofilms? (some weeks back you also had this amazing family film or birthday of one of your kids where I had to look twice to confirm it was not video (?) ;-)).
Thank you. For this one (and for my clients) I use Pic-Time. It's a great tool.
do you use film sims before applying the presets? i am using nikon btw
No, these are edited directly from RAW using my presets. The presets will work against all camera models.
Nice work, how do you get around gests ect asking for group shots, as these would have to be staged?
Check comments below :-)
Awesome work as usual. Are they SOOC Jpgs?
No, these are edited RAW files. There is a section of the film where I show some editing :-)
Excellent photos!! Did you use single point auto focus with spot metering? The images looked fantastic
Thanks. Yes, always single spot and spot metering.
@@kevin_mullins I think I might return to this method as it was how I always shot with my Canon DSLR's
I was wondering how he got the exposure spot on (pardon the pun) when using the lumimuse led light.
Thanks for sharing! How many images do shoot (average) and how many do the the client on average?
It depends on the length of the wedding but I hope to deliver at least one in every four "clicks".
@@kevin_mullins You shoot very deliberate. No 8000 shots and delivering 600 images😅
What preset did you use for the color images? Can you do a video where you show post processing of color?
I Shoot in P mode inside so the camera will usually choose the fastest aperture. Outside I make a choice but usually I shoot wide open with the camera set to mechanical and electronic shutter.
@@kevin_mullins Ok, but I meant the lightroom preset. Postproduction.
@@bobmarley1433 Sorry, this reply was for a different comment (doh!). The preset I use for the colour edits for this is the Velvia profile from Film Edition 3, Colour 🙂
@@kevin_mullins Thanks
That’s great Kevin. Thanks. How do you respond when you’re asked to do the classic posed group shots? Do you give in or do you say flat NO? Or is it that you make it clear beforehand that you just don’t do that type of work?
Clients book me based on what they see on my website and marketing. My best tip is to only show what you want to shoot, and you will attract clients who wish for that style. There is nothing wrong with formal photography, of course, and plenty of photographers are out to cover all bases for client choice.
@@kevin_mullins yeah but you must get that question from time to time. I’m a bit soft so I would find it hard to refuse. I suppose the best way is to politely say thanks but no thanks and smile
The clients get a pre wedding questionnaire and in it I ask that they let their wedding party know about my style. It rarely comes up.
@@kevin_mullins great. Get all straightened out beforehand. That’s the way 👍 thanks
Still waiting fur X-Pro 4 news. 🤞
