The problem is, the characters are both set in futuristic metropolises... Where are they going to shoot this? Nevermind how both of these characters are highly airborne, Spiderman with web swinging and Batman Beyond with his jetboots, grappling hook, and glider wings. It's just not something that can be shot in live action without a Hollywood budget and team.
Man-Bat vs. the Lizard would also be interesting. They share more in common, character-wise. Dr. Kirk Langstrom was trying to cure deafness with bat DNA and Dr. Curt Connors was trying to regrow limbs with reptile DNA. Both are very tragic, reluctant villains with strained relationships with their wife and sons, but in human form, they're pretty much friends with the Batman and Spider-Man families who've helped them save the day from time to time.
And the funny thing was that by some accounts, he was going to, but then it got retooled into Spider-Man Unlimited when the producers got scared of being accused of or sued for ripping off Batman Beyond, even though Spider-Man 2099 came six or seven years before Batman Beyond was even being produced.
I've heard that too. It makes sense even when you consider the character design in Spider-Man Unlimited. They took Miguel O"Hara's web cape and made it shit when Peter's costume would have looked completely fine as it was. Besides that, the color scheme is more similar to the original 2099 version of Spider-Man than Parker's with black and red being the primary coloring with blue highlights. Even the dystopian setting is similar to O'Hara's story. As much as the original Spider-Man is and always will be my favorite comic book character, I would have much rather them have made Spider-Man 2099. That would have been so much better than that Unlimited abomination.

No actually, as much as I love Batman Beyond, and I do, I'm a huge Batman Beyond fan, I was actually rooting for Spider-Man. In all due seriousness if there is no prep time, and if they just met, any incarnation of Spider-Man would massacre any incarnation of Batman. First of all most of Batman's arsenal is very similar to Green Goblin's arsenal and Spider-Man is very intelligent and can be a strategist when he wants to (sometime in the 90's there was a Spider-Man issue where he was talking to Mary Jane and stated that he formulated plans to take down the Avengers if needed, just as Batman as plans to take down the Justice League if needed. So in that aspect both Batman and Spider-Man are good with prepping and strategies). And also Batman is overrated. The "Because he's Batman" argument is cancer. The reason Batman is so almighty and is everywhere in comics and animated series and seems to outsmart everyone is mainly because Batman sells and makes money so DC has to make him be the best there is. As much as I hate to say it, ScrewAttack's Death Battle between Batman and Spider-Man was very accurate.
Actually Screw Attacks Spider-Man vs Batman death battle wasn't accurate. I remember that Batman was beating the shit out of Spidey the entire time till he died in the end. Accurate would have been that Bats wouldn't land a single hit (if he would he would break his hand) and get his head blown up by one punch from Spider-Man.

I will admit I'm more of a Marvel guy, but I really appreciate the Batman Beyond aspect of the character (the cartoon was great). Honestly, I wouldn't be disappointed one way or the other on who lost.
An electrical explosion that size would most definitely affect 2099 Spider-man considering that is just a costume from a party he is not invincible none of his powers can deflect the effect of electricity especially with it being that big.

Yeah, I really appreciate what you were trying to do, :) especially given the quality of the animation on what I assume was a pretty tight budget, but I feel its really hard to surpass your previous body of live action work when you've already raised the bar so high for yourselves in that medium. as much as i love Batman Beyond, as its my childhood; he just doesn't have the ability to stand toe to toe with Spiderman 2099 Spiderman 2099 has all the abilities and more of modern day Spidey, Batman Beyond DOES have a strength enhancing suit, the invisibility and bruce's tutelage, but spidey sense alone can make his advantages moot
after a bit of research, i found Spiderman 2099 DOESN'T have spidey sense, BUT does have highly enhanced vision and cognitive abilities related to vision, allowing him to see things that are just a blur to normal humans, paired with his other abilities it does give him a functional equivalent to the spidey sense, but only if he can see something, so batman beyond would be a bit more on equal footing when using his invisibility
Actually spider man 2099 has enhanced earnings that acts like equivalent of spider sense so he can deal with batman beyond invisible And I know its 6 years I just wanted to point that out

Essentially dimension-hopping castaways from Marvel's various splinter-timelines tasked with keeping the Multiverse and the various clusters of interconnected alternate realities stable and protected. I'd imagine that's the capacity in which he came to Neo-Gotham.
I'd imagine Wayne Enterprises has some piece of Waynetech that would be instrumental in countering some threat to their reality in Spider-Man 2099's plan. Hard to say. It's really just an excuse for the fight, after all.
This was awesome and the animator(s) did a great job. I'd wager anyone complaining has done extensive work with rendering and animating 3D models on a modest budget in a minuscule time-frame with a small number of people and has exemplary pieces with which to demonstrate their own prowess in this field, which is why they can be so cavalier in their hasty and fastidious criticisms. (Which isn't to say you need to prove you can do something before you can criticize it, but you do need some form of perspective before your criticism can have any merit. Batman "the Best Strategist and H2H Combatant in Comic Book Lore"? Really? Black Panther and Tony Stark are at least on par with him, and the likes of Lex Luthor and Reed Richards beat Bruce hands down in terms of strategy. Also, just for heads up, in terms of H2H, Lady Shiva owned Batman in one counterattack, so did the Orphan, also Batman is yet to beat Deathstroke clean one on one, not to mention the likes of Iron Fist, Daredevil, Shang Chi, Karate Kid and many others.
First off Batman beyond was way too big (stop exaggerating) second Spider-Man 2099 would have won without question (even without spider sense) but of course these fights are done off popularity and not facts that's why I like screw attack better not only do they do they're fights off facts but they explain how they came to there conclusion

This isn't your beloved Bruce Wayne, this is someone who is trained by Bruce and gets instructed by him via com-link. The time it takes for Terry to ask Bruce something, for Bruce to think of something to the problem and relay it to Terry just makes Batman Beyond less reflexive compared to Spider-Man 2099 who has a spider-sense. I will admit I'm more of a Marvel guy, but I really appreciate the Batman Beyond aspect of the character (the cartoon was great). Honestly, I wouldn't be disappointed one way or the other on who lost.

An electrical explosion that size would most definitely affect 2099 Spider-man considering that is just a costume from a party he is not invincible none of his powers can deflect the effect of electricity especially with it being that big.

While I think Terry would probably Win. This Battle was kinda boring. Coming from a Fan of Both Characters. Also since this was Younger Terry, You didn't really have Bruce giving commands at all. Lastly the fight choreography was too tame in comparison to your fantastic live action stuff.

But Miguel doesn't have spider sense does he? I don't know much about him. The most major advantage spider man has in any spider man battle is the fact that his spider sense allows him to dodge pretty much anything, including hand to hand moves.

Yeah, I really appreciate what you were trying to do, :) especially given the quality of the animation on what I assume was a pretty tight budget, but I feel its really hard to surpass your previous body of live action work when you've already raised the bar so high for yourselves in that medium. That being said, I still really enjoyed the setup, the plot, and the acting, so while I 'm not fond of the cgi, I DO appreciate that fact you guys tried something new. :)Thanks, good vid.

as much as i love Batman Beyond, as its my childhood; he just doesn't have the ability to stand toe to toe with Spiderman 2099
Spiderman 2099 has all the abilities and more of modern day Spidey, Batman Beyond DOES have a strength enhancing suit, the invisibility and bruce's tutelage, but spidey sense alone can make his advantages moot
after a bit of research, i found Spiderman 2099 DOESN'T have spidey sense, BUT does have highly enhanced vision and cognitive abilities related to vision, allowing him to see things that are just a blur to normal humans, paired with his other abilities it does give him a functional equivalent to the spidey sense, but only if he can see something, so batman beyond would be a bit more on equal footing when using his invisibility
Actually spider man 2099 has enhanced earnings that acts like equivalent of spider sense so he can deal with batman beyond invisible

This was awesome and the animator(s) did a great job. I'd wager anyone complaining has done extensive work with rendering and animating 3D models on a modest budget in a minuscule time-frame with a small number of people and has exemplary pieces with which to demonstrate their own prowess in this field, which is why they can be so cavalier in their hasty and fastidious criticisms. (Which isn't to say you need to prove you can do something before you can criticize it, but you do need some form of perspective before your criticism can have any merit. People bashing this as, 'lazy', or whatever, do not have that perspective)

Hes good at moving in the shadows and is a mastermind at live scenarios with unmatched critical thinking ability and hes always steps ahead because of that, not to mention the greatest detective ever, dont forget batman learned from the league of assassins and mastered countless martial arts, he could of been one of the most dangerous assassin to live but instead he vows not to kill, pen is mightier than the sword, remember that.
Batman "the Best Strategist and H2H Combatant in Comic Book Lore"? Really? Black Panther and Tony Stark are at least on par with him, and the likes of Lex Luthor and Reed Richards beat Bruce hands down in terms of strategy.
Also, just for heads up, in terms of H2H, Lady Shiva owned Batman in one counterattack, so did the Orphan, also Batman is yet to beat Deathstroke clean one on one, not to mention the likes of Iron Fist, Daredevil, Shang Chi, Karate Kid and many others.

I wish Batman fanboys would vote with logic instead of their love for the character. This isn't your beloved Bruce Wayne, this is someone who is trained by Bruce and gets instructed by him via com-link. The time it takes for Terry to ask Bruce something, for Bruce to think of something to the problem and relay it to Terry just makes Batman Beyond less reflexive compared to Spider-Man 2099 who has a spider-sense.
This video didn't even have a good ending. Spider-Man knocked himself out, Terry "won" by dumb-luck.
