    I served as the police and fire dept. we had some calls similar to this call. The officer did what had to done to saves lives. The officer did everything he could to save the officer. For that I am thankful to him. Also the young man who assisted the downed officer. God bless all.

      Just because hes a cop does not mean he likes hurting people. Because the person he was arresting recent criminal doesn't mean hes Scarface mccone Godfather. People can be things outside of what they do, and it is extremely lucky and happy that the guy assisted the car and didn't just go double tap, grab his gun and shoot him. It shows that not all criminals and not all people that break the law are some kind of wanted maniac.

    Those cops are like brothers being partnered and having been through so much together. It was very touching to see and I can't imagine how it must have felt for one of them seeing the other bleeding almost to death after being shot in the neck.

    I don't think that the guy in the red shirt was bad at all. The only thing that he was guilty of was getting into a fight but he helped save Phil's life. He clearly had a conscience and empathy for another human being

    • @ErikButterworth
      @ErikButterworth 5 лет назад +38

      And I'm sure the judge went easy on him for helping save Phil's life while Deputy Mike and the U.S. Park Rangers took care of arresting the other suspects. He was a Good Samaritan.

      @DavidWilliams-mo6dj 5 лет назад +31

      But it's funny how when he is taking everybody that man was not even mentioned. Instead it was given to another officer. Yes that officer did a lot to save his life but they were also in a predicament what if that officer would you let go he would have lost his life. And trust me they were in that type of situation. The true hero was that boy. And he wasn't even mentioned.

      I think the guys were just drunk or not entirely in the right mind, and yet something in the red shirt guy told him to help. He still had a bit of a conscience.

      @@emilyannthevioletghost715 Thus, I believe the judge went easy on him because he helped save Phil's life by stopping the bleeding while Deputy Mike and one of the U.S. Park Rangers dealt with the gunman and the second Ranger cuffed the one suspect that tried to intervene to protect his armed friend.

Is that why you hate cops, because you know in your heart if they catch your ass and lock you up in a heartbeat. If you could live a lawful life you wouldn't have a thing to worry about. I love cops they lock up criminals who victimized innocent lawful citizens. Cops are my heroes. They lock up pieces of shit driving around on the streets with open warrants out. Got a brake light out they'll be busting them in a heartbeat taking them off Society streets making the world a better place one piece of shit at a time. Have a nice day.

      That showed that not everyone that is detained by police are bad. many police officers that have been saved by the very people that they have arrested or detained both in the jail cells and on the road. One was caught on the dash cam. A police officer pulled over a group of young men for some car issues that did require the men to come out of the car and one did have a warrant but during the stop a car came out of nowhere and hit the Officer sending him flying. The group of young men wasted no time in helping the officer. One was talking though the radio while the others did their best to treat the injuries.
      What made this a big thing to many was that this cop was white and the young men were black in a area that had racial issues. The young men said they didn't care if the cops was white as he treated them with respect and still would have helped him no matter what as that was what makes you a good person and human being. the one that had the warrant which was for some parking tickets but again the was an area that wasn't safe for blacks was the one made sure the officer was talking and had taken the gun and other items off the officer to make it easier to treat him which was caught on the Body cam.
      Also several work crews from prisons have saved the guards as well even though they could have made a break for it.
      So don't assume if you see someone in cuffs they are a bad person not is the cop bad either.

    I was issued a Dodge 4x4 SUV exactly like that one in 1986 when I graduated US Border Patrol academy & got stationed in Laredo Sector, Texas. It even had a Wheelen light bar exactly like that with a new style Wheelen siren speaker, but only 1 Unity post spotlight & a brush guard with winch. That Ram-charger 4x4 only had stock tires, but as much off road we used it fir it never ever got stuck , but it had lockout manual hubs. I later was issued another one when I finished our K-9 academy, and it didn’t have anything except a police pkg & split seats, but the screen was exactly like the 86 Dodge SUV , in those days a screen was fabricated because the 900 MTZ trunking units box had to be on the cop side of the screen. The seat was taken out & wooden seats were on each side with horseshoes welded closed for handcuffing prisoners, my government issued K-9 liked riding in the big space in front with me, even when I didn’t have prisoners. But that Dodge SUV pulled out our horse patrol F-350 4x4 4 dR w/ 32’ Gooseneck livestock trailer. I didn’t understand why the US Border Patrol would outfit with the absolute best equipment Ranch hand replacement front & rear bumpers w/Ramsey 12K winch Motorola mobile data terminals 900MHZ encrypted radios w/ half duplex telephone capacity M-16 & 860 time locking racks, best Federal Vision light bars w/200 watts dual tone Federal top of the line integrated switch control w/traffic advisors, virtually the best of everything, even Detroit lockers front & rear axles , manual Warn locking hubs, but we would run those non off-road small tires and no lift kit or not even 2 inch suspension kit, but would put 2 Dodge add a leafs for front axle, because of the large brush guard & Ramsey winch However the US Border Patrol didn’t pay a company to outfit because we had huge warehouses for radio techs & service mechanics, so they were only concerned with not spending any money on the SUV itself , like steps, big off road tires & Rancho lift & dual steering stabilizers, we only had the stock single cheap steering stabilizer

    It's interesting that the one officer was carrying an M-14. That carries a 7.62mm round, more powerful than the AR-15's these days.

    I'm glad it worked out for them but they gave no credit to the young lad who held his throat while the other officer had to deal with the maniac with the gun....seems to me he was more or less innocent of the whole affair and stepped up when it mattered and quite possibly helped save his life. I honestly think they should bring this show back. Kids could learn a lot from it like I did when I was little, what to do and how to handle an emergency.

    • @rodgersmith1573
      @rodgersmith1573 5 лет назад +6

      @@nvdubs Wrong, it's an M-14 if what was pictured was representative of the firearm used, which being as he both specifically named it as such, and it being shown, it likely was.
      Now, what was shown 'appeared' to probably be an M-1A, made by Springfield Armory for the civilian market, since it did not have any of the full auto parts, or provisions for such. An M-1A is nothing more than a semi-automatic only copy of the M-14 made for the civilian market. It would also make much more sense considering it's rather doubtful they would procure an ~$20 - 25,000.00 machinegun for the purposes of filming.
      A Ruger Mini 14 is has very distinct differences from an M-1A/M-14, in both appearance, as well as function. It is also chambered for 5.56x45 NATO/.223 Remington, whereas an M-14 is 7.62x51 NATO/.308 Winchester. Again, the rifle shown in the video is 100% an M-1A/M-14.

    It reminds me of the call we got about 2 years ago where these three teenagers had shot someone and then ran into the nearby woods so we had to sit there and wait for the cops to find those idiots. While the patient was dying from an abdominal wound and we couldn't do anything for him. The K-9's went looking for them while we waited to treat the patient.
