Great teamwork and great officers doing a tough job. Dedicated officers protecting the community and the public. Awesome work and congrats on a job very well done!!!
Wow! Really brings back memories...I was 7 years old when this happened and lived in Phelan I remember my parents talking about this and seeing on the news. It was a really big deal. Victorville sure has changed a lot since then and this would hardly raise an eyebrow if it happened today. I remember going into that thrifties behind the bank..there was a time not long ago the high desert was a beautiful and mostly safe place to live.
I remember this episode vividly because it was in the area I grew up. We used to go to that bank, too! It's kind of weird seeing it back when things were still kind of nice. Since then, the area has gone WAY downhill...50+ homeless hanging out on 7th street on any day, police being called to that same shopping center every other day, fights, thefts, you name it. I'm SO glad we moved out of there.
Agreed I go to victorville every Monday to go to my job program and have to switch buses at seventh street it's like "what is wrong with these people?"
I had a good childhood friend that his family moved to Victorville California when we were kids in the late 60s. I went and stayed with them a couple of times during the summer. Their last names were D'Auria... Al, Vince, Dave ,Andrea, Dina. I cant remember the mom's name. God I wish I could talk to Vince or Dave.
in 1992 it wasn't that bad. Victorville was tiny, safe, and fairly nice back then. I lived there from 1988 to last August, 2017. It was when the Air Base closed down in the early 90's that things started getting REALLY bad, and they've only gotten worse since.
TheClumsyJedi exactly! Than around the late 90's - early 2000's is when the high desert was inundated with this sudden surge of families all from the L.A area who were being relocated with there section 8 vouchers.
Wow that was a time trip. Those were the good ole days for the high desert. The days when you could actually say that you grew up in a nice small community like in Hesperia, VV or AV. Before the mass waves of section 8 voucher families that were purged from the L.A areas, only to bring along the crime, scum and poverty with them.
Looks like a good place to live. I think it's a good police work. If it happened in 2013 I'd say they probably play GTAV and thought that bank robberies are easy... 😅
I love her cheeky grin and " they just gave up". Great police work from all involved.
Don't tell me the cops are bad my son is one and I'm so proud of him

Total respect for all police officers
God Bless the police.
This story could've been on "Real Stories of the Highway Patrol".
Robert Lopresti hell yeah!
Why is there always that one damn Chevy Corsica or Lumina that gets in the way in every early 90s chase that ever happened!?
where was john and ponch at where they needed them
Thanks for the upload!
If that happened today duffel bag full of money would have disappeared. It rolled out near the bus stop where all the hoodlums kick it lmao
Julian Loza those ladies did the right thing. That bag counted as evidence of the Robbery.
On the morning at 930 IN THE YEAR OF 1992!!!!!!
The 2 ladies who were pushing their shopping cart at 0:31 knew that something is not right
Robberies are not a common thing?! Are you kidding me? In California, robberies are like a criminal hobby. Like the North Hollywood shootout.
Especially in Victorville that place is really having problems.

TheClumsyJedi why did the air base had to be closed?

Where I used to live hearing gun shots was normal for me, until I moved to a safer area.
0:27 they almost killed that woman
Jessy Leppert I know right!
I think that's a reenactment tho... 😅

Good job
1992: Arresting and jailing four armed robbers with no injuries
2020: Killing an innocent unarmed man by suffocating him with one knee.
How did a mid 90's Camry with 2 men pull away from the cops?
350 small-block that's how
Forget your departments policy if people are shooting at you I’m returning fire
Only 20 years. They literally made out like robbers.
If fully automatic weapons were illegal to own that nerve would have happened................wait........they already are
I live here
Victorville California
fight the law and the law wins
🎵They fought the law and the law won!🎶
Okay Bobby Fuller
I'm guessing these guys figured this small town wouldn't be able to handle a robbery crew as well as the big leagues. Big mistake.
I hope the suspect s get caught
If they had RPGs, things would have gotten a blood bath.
Logan malough I have a very good friend and her pussy is like a RPG.
