In this song, Lolly Vegas ( The lead singer) tells his girl that she's perfect the way she is. "What's the matter with your hair?" he asks, before explaining that there's nothing wrong with her mind, her sign, or anything else. It's a very affirmative song where he encourages her to take what she deserves; to come and get her love.

The Welcome Back Kotter reference! It think this song was right before Kotter premiered, but you 100% nailed the similar vibe.

Thanks - great reaction, and I had never seen this live version before, wow, that's really something, unique intro. The live version from Austin City Limits is really good too, with an authentic tribal dance / song intro. oops - Midnight Special, not Austin City Limits, as others noted. Great version too.

Another good one with a native singer that I would love to see a reaction to is "Never Say Never", by Romeo Void. The lead singer, Debora Iyall, was from the Cowlitz tribe of Southwest Washington.
Classified as New Wave/Post Punk, but in reality it defies classification. A very unusual, and interesting song.

You NEED to watch the Midnight Special version. First & only Indigenous-Native American band to make their mark in music history. My kind of song to listen to on a long car drive with windows rolled down!

Yes there are other Native American/First Nation music groups. Very few have gotten radio play, Come and Get Your Love is the exception. Here are just a few: Indigenous, Kelly Jackson, Son of Hweeldi, Daisy Chain, The Plateros, Smokestack Lightning, Raye Zaragoza, Halluci Nation, Leanne Goose, Ulali.
