Bert and Jim, love your guys work. I've actually met Jim and Mr Hetfield as a capt for them while on vacation in N. Captiva, Florida. This video hit me on so many levels, from the DAD and cardinal, to the ocean being my "church's as well. Never cried listening or watching a podcast before now. Can't explain it. But thanks guys. Either of you ever in Florida's s.w. coast is be honored to show you guys my paradise. I ran into Jim again a year ago at one of my destinations, Cabbage Key and he always a gentleman. Keep up the great work guys. Capt Dan Young, SALTWATER SANITY
The best podcast I've listened to in a long while. I've always liked Breuer's stand up, but the last hr of this was so deep, rang true, and had so much truth it made me think about a few things differently. Bert didn't even interrupt too much because jim was on fire. Jim is the man!
I absolutely LOVED going back down memory lane to the Breuer Unleashed days. Goddamn that show was such a level up for my humanity. Breuer is a sage emperor of comedy.
Breuer's stories about his family dealing with his aging/sick parents and the fighting/family dynamics really helped me get through some similar shit in my own life. Forever grateful that he's been able to share so openly about things we sometimes aren't prepared for.
Jim about the notebook it is written He that exalts himself shall be humbled but He who humbles Himself shall be exalted. (It is good to be humble Brother)
I mean hey I too love Jim's perspective as much as the next guy, many times through out the show i expressed my gratitude. Awesome yes, absolutely, but I just can't wrap my head around you so explicitly wanting to express your feelings towards Brewer & his contributions to this show thru repeated physical violence..? Like ok, ONE time is plenty bad enough (& more than enough to warrant a thorough mental health check-up for the sake of community safety)...but a DOZEN TIMES!?..i mean, sheesh. This day in age, that specific detail should be plenty to bring about an actual warrant for your arrest!...Take a chill pill, hell, take the whole bottle. God knows who/or what else you smack around on a daily basis, dozens of beat downs i would assume your closest associates have probably endured by now if theyre not dead already?..I mean what in the actual hell is up with that, & also what is your deal w/ this "button"?? Like, i genuinely do not get your thought process on this. Plz explain yourself, violence is never the answer. Not even sometimes trust me. good day to you.
@@lavishlavon were u just taking a shit and wanted to burn some time!? And yep totally Norm..is this something u just do? If so and ur not just a crazy person I think that's simply hilarious. Im mindblown right now?! God's work donating all the time these must take🙏🏆

Also, celery, grape jelly, Cap'n Crunch with the little Crunch berries, pizzas. We need two big pizzas, man, everything on 'em, with water, whole lotta water, and Funyons."
Jim is underrated as a human being. That story about his dad and the cardinal gave me goosebumps. Listening to Bart butcher the serenity prayer took me out as a friend of Bill’s 😂 absolutely killer podcast though. One of my all time favorites for sure. Burt is a real deal interviewer. 🤘🏻
I've never heard Jim talk the way he did when he was talking about losing his father, and mourning him, and letting go. That kind of shifted the way I see him. In a good way though. Maybe this sounds weird, but I really appreciated hearing that.
Dobromir Raynov I’ve thought about why they don’t sit on the couch with him.. but it’s because they would need a wide shot and Bert wants a straight on shot so people don’t see the the actual shape of his body
I know exactly what Jim meant when he brought up the primal cry. Its a pain and a sound that nbo human should ever make, but without we never fully grieve for those who pass on to the next life. The littls "occurences" he talks about are very real things. I've had many of those same things happen in my life. The last night I spent at my grandmothers house after she passed, I woke up, like wide awake, at 430 in the morning. No one else in the house was awake. I took that moment to say goodbye to my grandmother, and as I was finishing my goodbye, I smelt coffee brewing. My grandmother started every day with a pot of the strongest coffee you've ever seen. I walked out to the kitchen, and there was no one there. I knew then that smelling that coffee was her way of saying goodbye to me, and it brought an amazing calm over me. Theres something bigger than any of us out there, and it loves us for some reason.
@707vallejoniggaRIPTHEJACKA vallejoTHEJACKA No problem pal, life is too short eh? And i just wasnt sure what you said before, thats why i asked. Peace dudie!

Between 40 and 50 minutes in when Jim is talking about Metallica, my mind is being blown... When he starts talking about singing lyrics face-to-face with his homey James from Korea... I'm on the verge of happy tears!! HOLY CRAP! SO AMAZING! I fucking love you Bert. I love you Jim. You're like the big brothers or uncles I wish I had.
5:10 when he says "I see Seinfeld, I see Chris Rock, I see some banana I cant stand" I looked up the festival he was talking about and I'm 99.9% sure he was talking about Dice 😂
Jim Breuer is one of my top five favorite comedians of all time. I didn't know about the story where he got screwed over on the sitcom early in his career. Those stories were actors get double screwed because of contracts are so infuriating. It seems like there should be a stipulation in a contract that if they don't go through with the show, then you are not tied to the network.
You know, I liked Jim before. I followed his career since he hosted Premium Blend in the late 90s, I've seen his specials, I've gone to two of his live shows, got to shake his hand and get a pic with him, but after this podcast, I fucking love the guy now!
My adopted sibling's bio mother was told she had terminal cancer and went in a trial. She was supposed to pass away 4 years ago, but is still alive and living life today. Jim is right.
The Most profone thing you guys said that really set me down was when you say the Ocean is your Church!!! Thats exactly how I feel and why I live where I do and why I spend every weekend on the gulf of mexico....

Bert: "I wish Tommy's fans would stop with the most racist comedian jokes." also Bert: "Hambone, hambone, have yah heard?" Oh, shit I'm crying. Bert I love you so much. Never change.
Wow, Jim Breuer is much more wise than I thought he was. I'll never forget that if I'm terminally sick, I should look for a trial, and if I have kids then I should pretend I'm their uncle when they're in trouble.
Jim is not just a great comic but an awesome dude in person. I can’t recommend enough if you get a chance to see him live, take it. Cheers 🍻
1000%. I can’t wait to see him for the third time. All around one of the most solid dudes I’ve ever met.
Now that Norm's gone, there are a group of celebrities that I should list out and meet one day. Jim would be right around the top of it.
"i am not high" is one of the best autobiographies ever..Jim is a comedy God
Met Breuer at a Metallica show on Long Island. He was trying to lay low, but once the guy smiled, everyone knew
Classic Breuer. Cant hide that smile anywhere lol.

I love Jim. He is awesome. Naturally and effortlessly funny and endearing.

I would bet my net worth that Jim would never give Bert drugs unknowingly.
Only some turd without a smart phone would do that.
Jim is too mature, caring, intelligent, responsible, sensible, enlightened, inspiring, uplifting, and self aware to do something as idiotic as that.
Jim seems more like the type that would give Bert a new MetallicA cd with no cd in the case.

Tyler Knepp he’s a legend who lives in the past.
Chris McRoy lol sorry Metallica didn’t take YOU on tour buddy.
Was wondering about how his wife was doing. That's awesome. Hopefully she continues to improve.
Hey Bert, I hope you do release that episode with Ari.
Don Jandro naww ... the better idea would be to run over that unfunny jerk off with an armoured car
Aris old stuff (amazing racist) was good. Once he stopped doing that character he really fell off.
He said he never will.
It would be run Ari destroyed himself even if it was a joke but it wasn't funny
I personally don't care to see it.
