Brain MRI Sept 2024

Home again. Day 2 complete for my medical visit with Dr Merit Cudkowicz at Massachusetts General Hospital. Waiting still for results from the EMG, blood work and next steps. Clinical visit showed progression over 6 months with worsened hyper reflexes, weaker muscles, more atrophy, eye involvement, a multitude of new symptoms. The brain MRI came back with some new findings, most troubling to me seems to be micro brain bleeds in my frontal lobe but waiting for Dr to tell me her thoughts. Findings: Linear focus of susceptibility in the left frontal lobe centrum semiovale ovale and subcortical white matter without associated edema likely represents a new but chronic appearing hemorrhage. Ventricular System and Extra-Axial Spaces: Stable in size and configuration. Similar prominence of bifrontal subarachnoid spaces. Partial empty sella. Trace fluid in the right mastoid air cells. Mild scattered paranasal sinus mucosal thickening. IMPRESSION: 1. No acute infarct, hemorrhage, mass or other acute intracranial abnormality..2. Unchanged prominent bifrontal subarachnoid spaces. Stable ventricular size.3. Linear susceptibility focus in the left frontal lobe white matter without surrounding edema, most consistent with a new but chronic appearing small intraparenchymal hemorrhage.
