small tip for vellum, instead of playing though the simulation for it to calculate, just jump to the first frame then click on the timeline to the frame you want to preview, the simulation will run much faster because it can simulate more frames at once (depends on your CPU cores i think) if it doesnt have to show you the progress frame by frame, (or just stay on the current frame in the middle of the simulation and hit reset simulation on vellum solver node)

@@dnch thanks for the wonderful tip!
I don't experience much speed gains when working with vellum simulations, most of the time it runs so fast, plus I can assess the simulation fbf. But when it gets heavier, usually when I increase the resolution for final simulation, I usually just cache it without the viewport computations altogether.
I'll definitely this in-between approach the next time! Thanks for sharing!

@@RonaldFong sure, depends on your hardware and setup, but when making lot of iterations, the time can add up quickly:)
i ment it as an general tip, not for your concrete setup which should run pretty quickly even on slower computers, anyway love you doing this, even if i consider myself bit more advanced i picked up couple of nice tips from your videos, and spreading the knowledge and user base its beneficial for all of us:)

Hi, thanks for another great tutorial. I really like the explanation of the technique at the beginning because it make me stop the video and go and try before watching the rest. Sometimes I just need a little bit of an inspiration, Got a different but similar result. Looking forward to more.

@@frigbychilwether I happy this teaching format works for you! I was afraid some may find it too draggy! Have fun!
