@csimons4266 There is not much of a seal. The cabin filter sits up on a flange so water can not get down in. It may be that the drain on the lower side of the cowl near the fender is plugged up.
I gotta say and I've said it before but thank you, you folks are all awesome and I love your online parts store, informative to the oem part number and spec!
We currently do not have an auto repair that shows this particular repair on a Daewoo Lanos. We'll keep this request in mind in the event that we make this repair in the future.
I installed a new Cabin Air Filter on my 2003 Grand Prix (only 92, 000 miles) - and glad I finally did, because when I opened it up, Guess What - NO FILTER had been installed. Anyhow, dis-assembly was simllar to your video except no separate Windshield Washer Clip (they were all molded in) and I also removed the (Philips) fastener near the trim piece's central end for easier access getting the new filter in.
+D. Braun Wow! That's a nasty surprise. Glad we could help you get your Grand Prix back to factory standards. For anyone else needing to replace the filter, we do carry it at the following link: www.1aauto.com/1A/CabinAirFilters/Chevy/Impala/1ACAF00080?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony

It could be in the same location. You owners manual may also tell you where it's located, if your vehicle came equipped with one. Thanks for visiting us on RUclips. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
THANKS!!!!!!!! JUST DID THIS.....I GO TO REPLACE IT, THERE WASN'T ONE IN THERE :( THE PREVIOUS OWNER REMOVED IT, AND DIDN'T BOTHER TO PUT A NEW ONE IN...
Thanks for this video it helped a lot. Something else that could have been added is the seal that runs along the windshield above the filter. It sometimes falls off and rain water gets into the filter/motor and then into the passenger side floor pan shorting out the amp in the rear window. That is what happened to ours. Any video tracing down this short in the amp power wire???
You may want to take a look at the housing to see if it's cracked, or somewhere that you can see water getting in from. You could also stay in the vehicle and have a friend run a garden hose over the area to see if you can see where it's coming in from. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
When it rains, water gets in my filter and makes a puddle on my passenger side floor. What do I look at? I made sure the water gutter is not blocked too.
Could an overly dirty cabin air filter cause lack of cold air blowing through the vents of the air conditioner. My filter is dirty (bought car two months ago and just noticed this today). It is black dirty and only hot air is coming out of the vents.

Thank you for watching. Water could be leaking past the door or the lower windshield area. It is also possible the A/C drain tube is blocked which makes the water leak out in the passenger area. Please let us know how the repair comes out! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

For a professional production video I was very disappointed. Your hand/arm blocked the view of what you were doing leaving viewers to guess based on your audio description. You should consider hiring a cameraman to film with good angles.

What part is the seal? I have liquid on my passenger side floor and was told that this is normally indicative of a bad cabin air filter seal.
Nice vid

It may be a weak window motor.
SO helpful!
The wiper arm magically disappears in the video. Will it do the same for me?
+Joseph Bateman Thank you for checking us out. While we could wish it disappears for you, this was piece of our editing and apologize. 1aauto.com

In a extreme case it could slow down the flow. The filter would need to extremely dirty. Hope this helps!

My 2000 Impala has the filter under the glove box. Under the hood is entirely different. Had to look in the manual to find it.
+Donald Eisenbarth Thanks for the feedback!

What could cause water leak around that area
Thank you for watching. Water could be leaking past the door or the lower windshield area. It is also possible the A/C drain tube is blocked which makes the water leak out in the passenger area. Please let us know how the repair comes out!

It is absolutely ridiculous that you have to do all that to change the air filter. It's a struggle, even after you pull everything apart, like why??
For a professional production video I was very disappointed.
Your hand/arm blocked the view of what you were doing leaving viewers to guess based on your audio description.
You should consider hiring a cameraman to film with good angles.
+John Martinez Thanks for the tip! We'll pass this info along to our production team.
They don't make it easy to change do they ?
