Thanks guys ! Yet more ideas !! Jersey Royals ... potato salad ,add spring onion , chopped vegan cold sausage ...... I make my own mayo ......V Greek yogurt/Lemon juice / tea spoon of Dijon Mustard / easy garlic ( a splash ! Delicious 😋
I'm pretty sure that there's a vegan-friendly (clearly marked as such) chilled garlic baguette at Tesco (own brand budget range), which are super cheap, super tasty and freeze really well, too! That's at the big Tesco Extra in Warrington, near the Rugby stadium, btw.
Your Sunday lunch looked absolutely delicious and the other meals looked tasty as usual.

I reckon Jersey Royals would be great in a warm potato salad. I boil mine, smash them up and add chopped spring onion, a large dollop of mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Nice!

I'm struggling to find the newly branded Hellmans mayo in Tesco (where I usually shop) at the moment but I'm going to try the M and S mayo instead. Hopefully it's just that Tesco haven't yet got the new version in stock yet. But disappointing not to see ANY vegan mayo in my 2 nearest branches.
@@janegoodfellow1529 we have it in the squeezy bottle only in our Tesco but not the jar. My son says the squeezy bottle is cheaper but not so sure as you can never get it all out.

Wonderful food, what a variety! I tried one of the Ashoka boxed meals you showed us from B&M, steamed rice, spinach&potato, 1.5mins in microwave, very nice.
The broccoli reminded me of when I've bought it frozen, broccoli is definitely not a vegetable that freezes well. 😁
Absolutely. I'm all for convenience but apart from peas, sweetcorn and soya beans, prefer fresh veg.

Lovely variety of dishes this week once again. Don't be to harsh on the decrepit broccoli it's usually one of the most robust veg😉 Arms in the air cheering we got a lunch time taste test score correct only to have it whisked away seconds later with an upgraded score...'trageous!😆

Love the marinaded tofu from the Lidl, the smoked one makes unreal facon, especially for "BLT" or with rice, slice lengthways thin but not too thin, nonstick pan, bit of high flashpoint oil, I use rapeseed, dark soil sauce, cook for a couple of minutes, flip, in with your maple syrup, job done so good
We had the smoked much simpler and just cut into four large squares and fried. Delicious on a sandwich
@@ThoseVeganGuys sometimes I do that as well, but if I fancy something a bit more indulgent I really love it the other way. Tofu is just the best in general, I don't understand why people hate on it, it's so good, twenty years on I still love it. Love your content, it's so comforting, thank you for sharing your space with us

How good does that Wholesome Junkies roast meal look? All the delicious trimmings... Is it only available Sundays? The jug of gravy..each...mmm.
Yes only Sundays and only one more week is they don't do it in summer
What do you think of the government asking us to stock up?
I already have a lot of tinned pulses - chickpeas, various types of beans, microwave rice, tinned soup, a few boxes of cereal and normally bulk buy the long-life unsweetened soya milk.
I only do this since it's easier to do an online order once every month or two and I don't live near any big supermarkets.
Like they're preparing for war, or just trying to freak people out.
Thanks for that. You’re so lucky to live near so many eateries with vegan options. The Sunday lunch looked Smashing. I’m amazed at those yorkshire puds. I still haven’t found a reliable recipe for vegan yorkshire puds.
Have you tried Holland & Barrett’s cheeses? They’re a really good combination of mass produced/artisan taste. They do a “Brie”, a blue and a kind of Boursin in our branch.

Paul, when you freeze your pasties do you bake raw from frozen? Or do you defrost 1st? Frozen baked or raw (you know what I mean ❤️
I cook then freeze once cool. Cook/reheat straight from the freezer in the air fryer. X
