Dearest Bruce...you 'are the man'! Please know how many lives you've impacted and I for one will never forget seeing you perform as a 16 year old girl (now a blessed Nana and Mom). Thank you!
I LOVE how dear Bruce is always willing to share his stage with audience members - especially kids. No wonder he has millions of fans....Conne in Wichita
The lyrics are wild and loads of fun. Take a right at the light, head straight on through the night, then boys you're on your own! I love the funky high speed breakneck version from 1974 that's on here. That has a great solo in it.
I am a huge Bruce Springsteen fan. I saw him in concert several years ago and will never forget it. That girl was very courageous to sing in front of Mr. Springsteen. Never mind the thousands of people in the audience....Great job!
This is one of the many reasons why Springsteen is my all time favorite artist. He is humble. He is genuine. He is relatable. He’s insanely talented and he puts on one hell of a show. Most importantly he takes time to personally connect with the fans. He clearly appreciates, admires and cares for us. These impromptu performances aren’t planned, they’re definitely running on the fly and that is why he is such a BADASS in my book. You’d never see this at a Swift show, or Chainsmokers, Bieber, Zedd, Garth Brooks, Lady Gaga and practically every other artist. Security would have the fan thrown out in no time. We need more artists like The BOSS!
In 1977 Manfred Mann's version of this song led me to discover Bruce in the first place. I haven't looked back since. This girl proves that Bruce will be loved long after he's gone.
I understand how you can hear it that way. However remember this was on Bruce's first album where the budget wasn't much I'm sure. Also it was before Max joined the band. Might have been before Clarence as well. Anyway the thing that impressed me were the lyrics. This was written by a 23 year year old? That's amazing.
Reclining_Spuds With all the theatrics, and extra production, etc., most would think that Manfred's version would be the better version. I used to think that way until my taste in music matured and developed a taste for raw uncut music in its purest form.
I attended this show at Barclays Center on 4/25/16, and this was a true highlight. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's genuine connection with their audience amplifies their greatness.
What I like most is the fact, that usually, when someone gets a kid on stage, they already know about the abilities and to be honest, the girls singing skills are not even basic, but Springsteen didn't even care, he gave her the time to shine and she will always remember those minutes.
bruce and band were happy, the girl certainly was and the audience loved it and those of us watching the video are happy, so in effect everyone is happy, now if only everything made everyone happy in life
i just love this !bruce really shows his audiance a good time and even letting them come up and sing with him ,hes a great guy for thatand the girl did a fantastic job!and she did know the words to the song very good!
Wow I was there for this ,took my wife was her first concert she thought it was so cool , I said he does this kind of stuff all the time.fan for life.E street rules Brooklyn. Miss you Danny and of course Big C.
"I have just seen the future of Rock & Roll, and it is a bright young lady from Brooklyn named, Diana!" ~~~ er, make that, "...a bright young lady from the Upper West Side!".
I know the name ‘Bruce Springsteen’ from the 70’s 🏝and I’d heard/known of some of his songs. Since I’ve time for youtube 😎I discovered Bruce: My next goal is to be with one of his concerts, he is amazing and has my full respect for his music and what he and the E-band tribute to music
Bruce does this at a lot of his shows, and that what makes his so great. He connects with his fans and interacts with them. His shows are always entertaining and his cover-song catalogue is insane. You never know what he and E-Street might pull off on any given night. Every show is unique.
And he gave her the pen back,, what a great thing to do made the little girls night something she will remember all her life ,, great story to tell the grandkids 🎸🎶
Aw bless her! I love how she had a pen with her. The roar from the crowd said it all. I know that feeling - my daughter sang on stage & played guitar 🎸 with Bruce. He is amazing with his fans.
Who gives this a thumbs down?!? Really? GREAT stuff... and God bless Bruce for telling NC (my adopted home) where to shove it, JERSEY (my birthplace!) style... F*CK HB2!!!
Unpopular opinion, but the girl ruined it. If you're gonna proudly advertise that you know all the lyrics, at least sing it. She sounds like she is reading them. I give her respect for being so brave, but she could've at least practiced it a ton before getting there

The smile this man brings to your face, the BOSS! Legend!
That video put the biggest smile on my face
What a great moment.
Well done young lady.
Well done the crowd too.

Just one more reason why he's the Boss and always will be.
You got THAT right mate!!

Only Bruce....
Ő a legjobb az egész világon! Szúper koncerteket adnak a csapatával, szuperek.
Gave me chills Faith in humanity restored!!

Makes me smile every time..! :)

Some girls just grow up right!!
"Going to a Bruce Springsteen concert is one of the things that makes life is worth living." - Andrea Scanzi, Italian journalist
I guess Mr. Scanzi is totally right!! :-)
It's miss
Sorry Frank, it's Mr! ;-) "Andrea", in Italy, is a 99% male name, and 1% female.
This is him: it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrea_Scanzi
my first concert ever was springsteen in 1998
Frank Masui Is
This man is the "real boss", make him President
That was absolutely brilliant! That kept me laughing all the way through. And wasn't that a lovely thing for Bruce Springsteen to do!
In 1977 Manfred Mann's version of this song led me to discover Bruce in the first place. I haven't looked back since. This girl proves that Bruce will be loved long after he's gone.
It's funny how Bruce has dozens of songs that are spectacular but his version of this song actually sucks. Manfreds was way way better.
I understand how you can hear it that way. However remember this was on Bruce's first album where the budget wasn't much I'm sure. Also it was before Max joined the band. Might have been before Clarence as well. Anyway the thing that impressed me were the lyrics. This was written by a 23 year year old? That's amazing.

psykomystro exactly.
I attended this show at Barclays Center on 4/25/16, and this was a true highlight. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's genuine connection with their audience amplifies their greatness.
What other artist would give a young fan that opportunity? She'll be sharing this moment with her grandchildren. Bruce, you're more than alright, man!
It was 3 minutes and his shows are usually three hours. Really something to be upset about
I love how Bruce regularly brings up audience members ... what a stand-up classy guy!!! And, I love to see young people growing up on his music!!
A ten years old girl and knowing a Springsteen song from 1973/74 word for word .... that's how great the Boss is.
She will never forget this and years from now people won’t believe her....but she knows the truth
What I like most is the fact, that usually, when someone gets a kid on stage, they already know about the abilities and to be honest, the girls singing skills are not even basic, but Springsteen didn't even care, he gave her the time to shine and she will always remember those minutes.
I don't know who was happier- that girl or Bruce!
Bruce --- he just his bank account rising forever and ever --- He is The Boss
bruce and band were happy, the girl certainly was and the audience loved it and those of us watching the video are happy, so in effect everyone is happy, now if only everything made everyone happy in life
Sandra Nelson and so composed! to ask for his sig!
He is without a doubt the best live performer of his generation.
I agree with You 100%!
What a great gesture by Bruce !
This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen on RUclips.
i just love this !bruce really shows his audiance a good time and even letting them come up and sing with him ,hes a great guy for thatand the girl did a fantastic job!and she did know the words to the song very good!
This girl will not forget that night in her life. Bruce, the boss, a great among the greats, and the public enjoying this
What a wonderful human being Bruce Springsteen is. Thank You.
Wow I was there for this ,took my wife was her first concert she thought it was so cool , I said he does this kind of stuff all the time.fan for life.E street rules Brooklyn. Miss you Danny and of course Big C.
Typical caring gesture from the Boss! That’s one of the reasons he is so loved!
I love Bruce. He's like "I don't even know all the words!"
I am move to tears. The Boss does it again.
Beautiful!!!! She rocks it....right leg tapping in tune....and The Boss has the biggest smile :-)
That's why Bruce is untouchable. The common man.
+brettfavreify as common as you can be with $400M in the bank...
+robertk2007 With a Wal-mart t-shirt.
How awesome is that? She'll remember that for the rest of her life!
How many dreams has he made happen? Endless. Luv u Bruce
thank God Manfred Mann recorded this song... Bruce Springsteen sounds atrocious
Pay to watch bruce and you definitely get your money worth 😊

Oh man, How I so love Bruce and THE Band!!! I get happy tears watching Them perform, and the general love they show for the fans
And this is why he is the BOSS🤙🏼
Jese, how wide can you smile? God bless Bruce.
"I have just seen the future of Rock & Roll, and it is a bright young lady from Brooklyn named, Diana!" ~~~ er, make that, "...a bright young lady from the Upper West Side!".
From the UWS, actually.
@@dianazorek2274 ~ oops, sorry Diana. I must have been blinded by the light. (c;
when he actually sings with her, she's learned to sing it to compliment his voice

"Give her a mic" Boom, it happens
Bruce brings out the good in people through his gift, and he is gifted no doublt
Bruce does this at a lot of his shows, and that what makes his so great. He connects with his fans and interacts with them. His shows are always entertaining and his cover-song catalogue is insane. You never know what he and E-Street might pull off on any given night. Every show is unique.
That's no cover. That's his song. Manfred Mann's version is a cover. He gave it to them.
I think I would have died! To stand there with Bruce in front of I dont know. like 18000 ppl! And she even got a pen for an autograph!
parents raised her right
It's a shame but I can't hear the little girl singing at all because of crowd being loud and annoying😞
That’s so cool. What other artists do that in a genuine heartfelt way??
For that simple soul is that I love you.
This is just Beautiful.. It made me, Smile??
Wait till she's 13 and figures out what the lyrics mean. "I sang WHAT in front of 20,000 people??!"
CarSmartsTV Lol, that's exactly what I thought the second I heard 'pumps his way into his hat'
“Some fresh mown mussone was messin with his frozen zone to remind him of a feeling of romance”
she's gonna be telling her grandchildren this story in 60 years
someone quick like this video..I was number 666....Bruce is the King!!
That is why he is THE BOSS.
How awesome! Her parents raised her right for sure. I've always loved that song and she rocked it! :-)
so brave that little girl!! very nice performance
When she put out the marker I laughed right out loud! LOVED IT!
Love Bruce. So glad he is coming back to Broadway. Tickets on sale June 10th. Google.. This is great.
No other rocker love's his fans more. That's why he's my hero.
So happy Bruce is alive and kicking!
How can you not like the boss
Yep he’s the boss for a reason
He’s the best
Absolutely great, Bruce is amazing. Thank You young lady, may You always be blessed. Freaky good and in My Favorites. I played it 6 times.
Couldn't hear her because of the crowd.
The Boss, es un grande que ya esta mas alla del bien y el mal. Long life to The Boss !!
That's why he's the boss class
I was never the biggest Bruce fan but I always said he was all class when it came to his fans!
we were there... great memory :)
would have been great except for the horrible audio.
Szuper !
Who gives this a thumbs down?!? Really? GREAT stuff... and God bless Bruce for telling NC (my adopted home) where to shove it, JERSEY (my birthplace!) style... F*CK HB2!!!
O Bruce é fantástico. Chama a menina no palco, se empolga mais que ela e se diverte. A simplicidade faz dele o astro que é .
Unpopular opinion, but the girl ruined it. If you're gonna proudly advertise that you know all the lyrics, at least sing it. She sounds like she is reading them. I give her respect for being so brave, but she could've at least practiced it a ton before getting there
Did she get every word right in the end (not that it really matters of course, at least she tried).
Bruce du er fantastisk, dine Fans stor lille....ung ....gammel du er der for alle,STOR RESPEKT💕👍🏻💞
Only Bruce is capable of this
love the guy so much!!!
just heard this on estreet radio today so had to find a video. wowwwwwww awesome
They say you should never meet your heroes......me thinks perhaps they are wrong.
Terrible. You can't hear the guitar or the vocalist over the screaming throng.
Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce
Impressive stuff.
This is Boss time all'right.
I was at this show and this was fun; magical for the young girl!
Nerves of steel! AWESOME!!!
Bruce is such a cool person
and as if by magic there is a mic....pure shite and ruined for me
Now that’s what u call a legend 👌
It's a far cry from the contrived "Waitin" On A Sunny Day".
My dad always wanted me to sing that song, but I hated it, so this fit with my weird personality.
I thought she was going to kill it….it was a cute moment though
Fancy that. Challenging the boss on lyrics.
