For those wondering why NBA doesn’t do outdoor games: hardwood courts become incredibly slick with the slightest amount of condensation. If you did it during the day in a dry area or played it on a different surface it’d be a possibility, but getting the league to play on anything other than wood is a longshot.
because it would be diffrent basketball because off weather and wind it would make some of the good players maybe look bad bcuz its diffrent iplay much better outside than indoor because ilast played indoor basketball back in 18 its diffrent
The NHL winter classic is popular. I don't understand why the nba doesn't do something similar. Imagine the lakers and warriors playing at Dodger stadium?
Well NBA players don't wear the massive amounts of gear hockey players do, thus them playing outdoors after it gets cold out wouldn't exactly be doable for them though.
I think a cool location for exibition game would be Arena di Verona in Italy. It is basically a really well preserved Roman arena (much more so than the Colosseum). It is outdoors, but it would be really cool to see it happen.
The Hornets playing an entire season in a hockey arena in Oklahoma City would be considered unique if the Thunder didn’t start up a couple years later and proceed to play 20 seasons there lol
the Pistons played ten years at the Pontiac Silverdome with temporary bleachers and I believe is the only venue to host both a Super Bowl and NBA finals
Spurs were at Alamodome for a decade or so in 90's and early 2000's too. Surprised that wasn't noted here. It was speculated in 1995, that had they still been at their old arena, the HemisFair, that they'd have beaten the Suns there, since the crowd noise woulda been louder and surrounded place.
The Pistons played at the Silverdome for 10 or 11 years before they built the Palace of Auburn Hills about a mile down the road. Basketball at the Silverdome looked awful with the temporary seating and the big blue curtain, but they drew some big crowds there.
I personally think sometime in the mid to late-2020s, LA will play host to NBA All-Star Weekend again. But the All-Star Game will be at SoFi Stadium much like 2010 at AT&T Stadium. I think they could be waiting for Intuit Dome (Clippers new arena) to be opened for proximity. They may have the first two nights there or maybe one night at Intuit and one night at Crypto (after renovations) before going to SoFi for the ASG.
I went to all the 3 Pre season games at the Tennis Garden in Indian Wells in 2008 to 2010 when i was 7 years old. Bc i lived 15 minutes from the Garden. So i was definitely excited for this video
I think that if you were going to keep this going for other leagues, it would be interesting to mention the New York Liberty of the WNBA playing a few games at Radio City Music Hall in 2004 due to the Republican National Convention needing Madison Square Garden. Also, in the 1980's, three different NBA All-Star Games were held in NFL stadiums, the Hoosier Dome in 1985, Kingdome in 1987, and Astrodome in 1989. The only other stadium All-Star Game besides those and 2010 was in 1996, but that was the Alamodome when the Spurs played there full-time.
I’d like to see the Pacers put a court on the front straight at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It would be a cool visual and probably could draw a decent crowd
@@tillercummings6097 I think you could build the court at the same height as the pit wall and use the pit lane as well as the front straight. You’d still be below the front row of the grandstand so it would be OK for spectators.
Hey just wondering if you could do a video for what stadiums would be suitable for the 2031 Rugby World Cup? terms of location, Big game sellouts Logisitics, fan welfare and travel. I know there are Massive Stadiums but i dont think many touring fans would like to travel by car for most of it and would prefer a more transit system like Trains and public transportation. Stadiums i personally like are your Northeast Stadiums like Soldiers Field, Lincoln Finacial Field, Acrisue Stadium and Gillette Stadium and Lambeau Field. Personally thinking having the World Cup in the North east would be a good idea because there are lots of cities that would have the facilities and amenities to host large amounts fans. I love this channel and i would love to see one NFL channel talk and discuss this topic because i am very excited for the game to come to the US.
I want to see the Knicks vs the Nets at Arthur Ashe with the retractable roof but because of the Knicks lease the Nets will have to be the home team no matter what.

wind affecting players' shots, hockey puck is on the ground
@@PillCosby504 I'm sure players can survive with one day of poor shooting. We all grew up playing basketball outdoors
NBA players to soft for that
or maybe condensation or i dont fucking know itd be cool though

I've been there twice and that seems like a cool idea. I just don't know what the seating situation would be with it being concrete/stone.
@@kdub2675 they do concerts and other social events in the arena, and they put chairs for people to sit on

They should do an outdoor game with an outdoor ball on concrete
Us bank stadium in Minneapolis hosted a Final 4 march madness
As a tennis fan, I never thought I’d ever see a basketball court in Indian Wells.
Surprise!
The AlamoDome was the San Antonio Spurs’ permanent home from 1993-2002 before moved to the SBC Center (Now AT&T Center) since 2002-03 season
Whatever you’re doing keep doing it. This popped up in my feed30-40 seconds after you posted this.

Anyone watch the Wisconsin volleyball game that was outdoors?
I remember when phoenix played in the outside stadium
I remember the alamodome for the 90's spurs. All the neon, purple, teal etc of a 1992 pizza hut. Loved it

Also the Liberty played a preseason game outdoors at Arthur Ashe stadium at the Billie Jean King USTA Tennis Complex in Flushing Meadows.
Nice
Great ✨✨ 💙🌼
Would be nice for a permanently outdoor nba stadium to be built.
I’d like to see the Pacers put a court on the front straight at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It would be a cool visual and probably could draw a decent crowd
Is it big enough? It’s only like 3-4 car widths so unless they take out the wall idk. Would be cool if possible

Rucker Park classic. Not hard to do
The funny thing is the Heat were totally crippled by injuries and still took 2 games from Bron lol
Pistons played at the Pontiac Silverdome before The Palace of Auburn Hills was built. Same configuration as SkyDome did.
The Kings and Pacers played two Pre Season games in Mumbai, India back in 2019.
Astro Dome 89 NBA All Star Game
The Alamodome also is home to the San Antonio Brahmas of the XFL.

Before the Golden Knights existed, the NHL even played at Ceasar's Palace in Vegas long ago.
Didn't college b ball play on aircraft carrier classic
yep duke/msu, syracuse/someone else. There's been more than a few
Basketball at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta!🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏟🏟🏟🏟🏟🏟🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑🍑
When they played final four at us Bank stadium, they had to put curtains up to block the light from the windows
This MFer really got Mexico confused with New Mexico
I don't see the NBA doing outside games in the Midwest because of weather .

Ya should do a video about the highest-attended hockey game (105,000)
If it’s In a warm weather place I can see cause CBB played games on warships for Veterans Day
The Alamodome is well known for DCI and marching band competitions. lol
The WNBA should have a couple games played outside since their season takes place in the summer
“They go to New Mexico every year”
Since when is 64 cold
Exactly
Sacramento didnt make your list I see
Im I the only one who noticed "New Mexico"? New Mexico is a US State. Monterrey, Nuevo Leon is in Mexico. Old Mexico. 😅
How was the bubble a mess???? No COVID cases and the season was completed.
You think that is crazy I played basketball in the middle of a warzone jk! Great video
Rucker Park
Broncos announced a new 100% privately funded training facility next to their existing facility
