Dang, what a great piece around Waco, highlighted by your story of PawPaw. Humbling to hear of such a man, a leader, who still resonates with you in an impactful way today. I had a Papa Donny who was gone while I was just a little one. Would give anything to have video of him today as you enjoy, just to hear him talk. Brother, you are blessed, and this world would be better off with more PawPaw’s in it.
Hey Jack! I live in Conroe, Tx and love your videos man. I hope to ride west one of these days and meet you and the Rusty Bolts lol… saw you pulled off into the empty lot to practice your slow maneuvering. Brother if you ever get a chance take one of the many police inspired riding courses like Ride Like a Pro, etc… I did it years ago and it transformed my riding at slow speeds/ tight spots; night and day difference. I l’ve gained so much more confidence in my riding abilities and skills and can throw around my bagger like if it was a sportser. Would make a cool video too if you and some of the Bolts took the course 👍🏻 Anyways stay safe and keep the content coming!
Thanks Robert, I look forward to riding some day soon! And yes, I actually talked to Robert Simmons, and hope to make it out there with him one day for sure 👊🏼
What a great thing that you have that memory as well as the video. We all owe so much to the "Greatest Generation!" Dr Pepper is my second favorite behind Birch Beer, then Root Beer
Glad you have a video of your grandfather. We have some videos of my grandfather, and you’re right, they were the greatest generation. Keep up the good work.
WOW! That was really interesting. That also sparked a memory that is over 40 years old. In the early 1980's I lived across the street from a guy, his wife, son and twin daughters. His name was Richard Pepper, and he was originally from Flatbush New York. You sure do have some varied and informative videos. If I ever get back to my hometown, New Orleans, I will start making videos of famous and not so famous businesses and great laces to eat.
There is a lot of history in Waco. There is several towns like Waco that get over looked these days when it comes to history, and sadly it is some of the best history in Texas. Always enjoy history so thanks Jack for the great content! As a kid growing up traveling all over Texas to rodeos with my mom Dr. Pepper was the drink choice. The only other soda you would see anyone drinking was a root beer. The days when every kid from the age of 5 and up had a Dr. Pepper and a can of Skoal or Copenhagen in their pocket. 🤣 I still miss the old peel top cans. And I too am named after my grandpa. You are 100% correct about that generation. RIP Kristoffer Kristofferson
So glad you enjoyed that, appreciate you watching 👊🏼 I still have the Copenhagen can but don’t drink many sodas these days, but a Dr. Pepper every once in a while sure is tasty 😋 And yes, RIP Kris!
Awesome video. Looks like a cool museum. I'm not a Dr Pepper drink but I have had a Big Red. I loved the video of your Paw Paw. I don't know much about Waco. Just that Billy Joe Shaver lived there. ✌️
Cool video. Dr Pepper Zero for me… out of the bottle, if it’s a fountain then regular Coke. And Coke again when I mix a little coke with my Captain. 🥃 😉. Nice tribute to your Grandad. The generation that built this country. 🤙🏼🇺🇸
Dr Pepper all the way brother. Keep doing what your doing love watching the content. Only about 2 and half hours from yall want to catch up and ride at some point
Growing up in South Texas, you rather drank a Dr.Pepper or a Big Red. We didn't even wanna think about Coke or Pepsi. Love your videos brother keep it up!
Baylor University has Dr. Pepper hour every Tuesday! Dr Pepper Hour is a weekly tradition at Baylor University that takes place in the Barfield Drawing Room in the Bill Daniel Student Center. The event is held every Tuesday from 3-4 PM and features a Dr Pepper float, a blended drink of ice cream and Dr Pepper. ;) I copied that. I ain’t that smaht!! lol
If you look on the side of one of the outside walls you can see the v shape outline of the tornado that hit it. The new bricks are just a little different.
That used to be One of my favorite soda pops !!! I haven't had a soda over 14 years & now I can't even take a sip Soda is SUPER sweet & can't stand them
There's more Dr Pepper story than just in Waco. Mr Dr Pepper was from Dublin back from the day the bottling was done in areas by smaller bottling companies. It's a heck if of story on how the 2 parted ways. Very ugly. We rode to Waco and Dublin and I had a cold Dr Pepper sitting at the grave of Mr Dr Pepper. My grandmother always kept a small glass bottle Dr Pepper in the fridge for when she felt bad. And from that I took on having a Dr Pepper to male me feel better as well. It relaxes me. I've had soany I should own one I'd those buildings by now
For years I drank Dr pepper then I stopped drinking soda for a while now I like Coke or Pepsi only on occasion like with a hamburger and fries. The greatest generation in my opinion is any one born in the early 1900s to the mid forties. Anyone that went through the great depression and survived had to be tough.
I grew up in Ft Worth, I remember my mom and her girlfriends, Dr Pepper and cigs every single day. I still remember the bottles, 10-2-4. As for the debate, Dr Pepper for the win!

Very smaht! I didn’t know any of that, and my dad and grandfather both went to Baylor. Thanks for watching Hollywood!
You can always learn a lot from a man you call "PawPaw".
Ain’t that the truth! Thank you 👊🏼
Waco is pretty cool we use to drive from Tyler to waco on the weekend to cruise valley mills
Haha, we probably ran into each other there! Long time ago 👊🏼
Not sure when, but I’d like to ride that area of the country soon.
Texas has about 5 regions that are very different, all beautiful in their own way. Hope you can get down here sometime 👊🏼
If you look on the side of one of the outside walls you can see the v shape outline of the tornado that hit it. The new bricks are just a little different.
Very cool, I didn’t know that! Thanks for watching 👊🏼
🍻
🍻👊🏼
I love Dr Pepper ❤
I love Dr. Pepper and you 😘
That used to be One of my favorite soda pops !!! I haven't had a soda over 14 years & now I can't even take a sip
Soda is SUPER sweet & can't stand them
I don’t drink much soda at all, so I get it. Every once in a while it’s still good to me though. Thanks for watching 👊🏼

A Dublin Dr. Pepper is hard to beat!
For years I drank Dr pepper then I stopped drinking soda for a while now I like Coke or Pepsi only on occasion like with a hamburger and fries. Very well said! And I don’t drink many sodas these days either, but on occasion they sure taste good 👊🏼
My daughter has been there, but I have not yet made the trip. My brother lives in Harker Heights, but I’ve not been down to visit him there…
Well come on down! Not too far away at all 👊🏼
I thought Dr Pepper was made in Dublin tx?? That’s the only thing that town is known for. Dublin Dr Pepper
They had man bottling companies, and Dublin was definitely the best. They made it with real pure cain sugar. But it was invented in Waco.
DP all the way!
Agreed! Thanks for watching David 👊🏼
I grew up in Ft Worth, I remember my mom and her girlfriends, Dr Pepper and cigs every single day. I still remember the bottles, 10-2-4. As for the debate, Dr Pepper for the win!
Haha, yes! I forgot about the 10-2-4 story until after the video was done for some reason 🤷🏻♂️
Well I guess I missed it.
It’s that busy retired life schedule! No worries, appreciate you watching anytime 👊🏼
That was interesting! 👍 Don't do like Kelly B and get blisters on your backside on that hot seat! 😄
