I admire the people that can explain step by step to others what they have learned.
Well said mate
Bright, articulate kid. Clear, concise explanation. Someone hire this guy.
Excellent break down Trevor, thank you! This snare lick is a perfect metaphor for my life. I need 5 extra friends to play it correctly, but I only have one friend.😳
Yeah, we didn't have drum or percussion instructors that even knew how to do any of this in high school, which is annoying because I really wanted to learn how to play like this.
My instructor is crazy when it comes to this
Ikr! Ours can’t do it either, and I was the only kid in hs who was ambitious enough to practice this stuff on my own. Very annoying. Seems like the only places you can play this kind of stuff is DCI lol
The tuning on that drum is sublime
Dang, those kids have hands! Too many programs just teach rhythmic accuracy and technique, but not chops!
To be fair, they all work hand and hand. No pun intended

Nice. Thanks for sharing!
be nice if you finished playing it .The next to the last measure was left out completely but the last measure was played.
He played his part in a split down the line, you just play one group of 4 from those notes while the rest are played in sequence down the line.
Triplet? Or a Ruff?
hmmmmmm thats what i said
Well he’s not wrong, it technically is a triplet with diddles on the 1st and 3rd partials
@@sergiosrandomco.362 Then...it's a ruff.....LLR....RRL...LLR...RRL....
TAKE A LOOK AT THE 26 essential drum rudiments. Admittedly, people have created more.....but let's stick to the first 26
@@strongbrave it's not exactly in the musical context to be considered a ruff. Especially considering the openness of the double and the fact that it is accented.

why are his buzz rolls so bad
That drum doesn’t have enough snare response
He didn’t do the insane 32nd note fill in at the end, all he did was a buzz rool
it’s a split
That 32nd note part is split down the line, each person gets an eighth notes worth of thirty second notes.
They literally split 4s down the line
ITS A SPLIT YOU DUMBY
Really good but you gotta work on that buzz roll
