- Ferrari's upcoming hypercar, codenamed F250, has been spotted in testing and is set to outperform the SF90 XX Stradale. Here's what we know:
Design: The F250 features significant venting, butterfly doors, fake and real exhaust tips, and a distinctive race car-like roof and windshield. The exaggerated rear wing might be a decoy, but the diffuser design could be final.
Engine: Moving away from the V12, the F250 will feature a twin-turbo V6 with a plug-in hybrid setup, derived from the 3.0-liter engine used in the 296 series and the 499P Le Mans winner.
Performance: The V6 alone produces 671 hp, potentially exceeding 1,000 hp with hybrid assistance.
Controversy: The switch from a V12 to a V6 in Ferrari's flagship model might disappoint purists, but the performance promises to be exceptional.
Launch: The release date is unconfirmed, but the F250 is expected to sell out quickly once unveiled.

@@petreefyedn0ire yes and no the LaFerrari is not really a true hybrid vehicle unlike the SF90. It can't run on electric alone the electric motors were there for the support of the torque and for more acceleration and to help the revs system to give it Higher revs. I think it was around 15 mph or so it could have went in Electric but it's a V12 with some Hybrid settings. this new successor might be a V6 hybrid and I have a feeling they might give it turbo as well which it might be disappointment for a car to be called a successor from a V12 hybrid. I just hope not

@@golden5522it has to be a turbo man, cause N/A engines don't have the same power advantages as that of turbo engines, look at the revuelto for instance, sure it sounds good but the V12 has only like 50 to 100hp more hp that it can churn out in the next few generations, ofcourse its gonna be fast and will sound good but still not as fast as a tt engine could get it, ferrari on the other hand will surely go fir a tt engine as it doesn't really care about sound and emotions anymore look at their sf90 and the new EV they are building.

Might be disappointing but if its the same engine and hybrid system as 499p (basically street legal 499p) it would be awesome

thats not the bodykit of the real production unit, look at the prototype of the first laferrari its identical with the prototype in this video that doesn't have aero wings except that this new prototype have a center exhaust.
The LaFerrari was a Hybrid. The F250 will launch around Aug/Oct 2024. The V6 TT is based off the 24hr Lemans winner of 2023 and 2024 the 499P and the 296 GT3 which has Won the 24hra of Daytona and 24hr of Nuremberg. Its is a true race breed and race winning engine. The F140 V12 was not. While its sad that the V12 is gone. This is the best option. and remember Ferraris first Hal car was a TTV8 in the F40. Also remember the V6TT in the 499P and 296 GT3 were limited by the rules. so 1200hp plus is more that likely

Really looking forward to this one, the v6 already sounds better than the sf90 v8tt, most people now don't really want a million hp and 1/4 mule in sub 6 seconds, thus 296s are loved by customers and sf90s are being sold off and depreciating.

The vehicle is already sold out, so everything else is just car enthusiasts discussing things beyond their control. It's a healthy conversation, no doubt, but the LaF replacement won't be influenced by the information we're talking about.

The halo Ferrari was always about showcasing technology that'll follow it in the next 10 years and not technology that pre-existed it. So, a PHEV with a turbo V6 makes sense. It's just sad that the Ferrari V12 allegedly isn't in this one.

Highly doubt it will be a V6, especially after Bugatti just unveiled a V16. V12 is Ferrari's signature engine and to not fit it into thier halo car will mean customers will look at other brands. Also it's a 296 not 269.
Looking at how sf90s are depriciating, this might be true, although it will have exclusivity to negate the lack of V12 but it can also be like having an option between 200 neveras ever built vs 300 12cilindri special editions to be ever built hypothetically.
Just make a flying or hover car... it's already 2024😂.
