The light cable should go in the light port, not into channel 9. Then channel 9 button on the remote controls the lights. After setting end points on the micro servos, the sway bar servo burnt and the dig servo. The sway bar servo really doesn't like working unless the rear end is level. The dig mechanism needs some filing, the actuator rod tends to go slightly skew. Clutch micro servos works wonders on this rig. PS. You can set end points with the radio. Full throttle, full left turn and hold the power button until the radio beeps twice. Leave everything, then push the power button again. It will then flash. Switch on the car, then press the channel on the radio that you want to adjust. The channel light will stay on. The steering dual rate switch adjusts the end points. Takes a bit of figuring out. When done with all settings, press the power button again. Channel 7 to 10 can be set. Channel 3 and 4 can be changed from momentary to on/off also.
Okay, I have let you guys down in this video. Our friend here has the info I missed. I cut an entire section out from this video discussing the radio end points. I was so sure it was adjustable, but my google-fu failed us all and I figured I was remembering incorrectly. This is great news! Thank you for this super helpful post. Really. It contains important info about the car that I should have had in the video. Well done and thank you!
Your humility, as always, is admirable. Especially in a position on social media where you have so much sway. You really are a breath of fresh air and there are many, many people out there who stand to learn a lot from you in more ways than one!
Great video Craig. We appreciate the honesty in all your videos and understand you're grateful. I read a meme a while back, "Be the person your dog thinks you are".
I'm delighted to be wrong about the sway bar engagement for crawling too (it's not the 'chocolate teapot' that I thought!). Can't wait to try it! I run it with better tires/wheels, and the interior removed (shame, but there you go). You definitely got a bad one with the servo and engagement problems: both fine for me. There are clear QC issues at RGT. Appreciate the candid words at the end.
Look mate your video are freakin amazing what your doing with the rc is awesome don't let people dictate or control your vids keep doing what your doing i love your channel Cheers mate 🙏🏻👍🏼🤙🏼💯🔥
It's SO close to being brilliant, and pioneering new ideas! I love how much this hobby teaches us about vehicle dynamics, being so easy to make adjustments and test without rolling a real rig each time haha!
I was so engaged in willing this rig on as i have it. Only had mine out a couple of times with the only issue of it slipping out of 4wd when climbing causing it to roll back. All servos work fine but may have to do the end points on the dig servo but don't want to burn them out! Looking forward to part 3 Craig... this might be a long series of videos!
This car could be an evolution of the Ecto!! The stabilizer bar that locks on demand, what a class, I love the concept. I wonder if it would be possible to mount it on the Ecto? You know Craig, what you share here with us is really great, I've already told you several times but I love my Ecto rc element and it's thanks to you that today I have this crawler. I'm not rolling in gold as they say in France, I only had the budget for a crawler! It's the only 1/10 crawler I own, for me and my way of playing it's the best I've ever had. I like your channel because you are a good person and it shows through your videos. Thank you for all this good advice and other tests. 😉 The Frenchi...
Am watching this again and I have to say that this car is growing on me .......... and you are correct as usual that sometimes all it takes to make an "ok" car "great" is to mod just a couple of things. Video is even better the second time around !!!! edit: It would be interesting to see some "XHX Pins" on this car ...... full of potential !!!!! 🙂
@@RCTNT I understand !!!... LOL .... I got a little carried away because I tried them on my Fusion and they were, to say the least, pretty amazing. I'm still learning ........ 🙂
I appreciate what you do you're honest and open and I really enjoy the channel, you're right at the end of the day they're just toys but they provide a bit of catharsis to get you through the day and that is much needed, thanks for sharing.
It's been a minute since I was SO engaged on how to tackle the six problems. With all these different features (rear sway bar is amazing!!) it calls for a true strategy on how to approach them. What a fun, engaging rig it seemed to be, even from here!
Thanks yet another time Craig. I appreciate when you comment on your experience behind the wheel. This RGT is interesting, technically. My forming experience and your testing put this into my dream «off road» rc: (No need to be a hardcore rock crawler) 2 speed, lockable open diffs, fwd/4wd/rwd selectable. No need for DIG. But, after seeing this, sway bar(s) that can disconnect, YES! And since no crawler has center diffs, fwd/4wd/rwd selectable would be very exciting for push/pull/steering.. Again, Land Rover Discovery II has hydraulic operated disengable sway bars…😎
The Disco is special for that reason, yes. Oh, and I love the idea of a centre diff that's lockable. Then it would be much more like a modern car. Perhaps this is a feature we'll see seeping into the premium models as they search for more New! things to add in the commercial race for differentiation in a packed market. I'd love it!
@@RCTNT Totally agree on that! They spend on «tank turn» and other what I find somewhat strange features… but not looking into real 4x4’s.. I think as you say, we will probably see more technical features added. I may come as a cost though..

Great vid as always Craig! I'm starting to get close to maybe purchasing my first 1/10. The RGT rescuer seems like its perfect. but the price is making me question if the prorunner is worth it. The thing is i'm most worried about the ground clearance. Would it be good for walking along with on trails? If i were to want to upgrade it i would ofc choose wheels and tires. But would it maybe be possible to change axles aslo? Huge thanks for all your work into this community!.
Rescuer is the superior model for crawling and trailing over the Pro Runner, IMO. However, both are decent machines and both benefit from some mods. Honestly, given how much cheaper the Pro Runner is, I'd be sorely tempted by it, too. It doesn't have to be the do it all crawler of the universe - limitation makes things fun, too. Both are fine for trail driving, you bet.

There is truck locks really awesome! I think it's worth some weighted wheels and some ruptures 4.92 to give another go! Of could get it to crawl good be a sweet kit
Needs just a nudge to get it over the line, doesn't it. I'll have a tinker and may even have a part 3 for this one. The truck deserves some closure after this somewhat underwhelming episode of 'Can It Crawl?'
