Concrete advice on getting the affair partner off that pedestal. Yes, I had to name every one of the reasons why I could not survive and thrive in a relationship, long term and committed. If you value your principals, you should start a new relationship with anyone but your AP. That relationship lacks the foundation for functional relationship it's base in unmeted needs and probably need of validation
Yeah.. such a myopic view. Life is short. In my mind, if someone in a marriage is cheating, they're already emotionally gone. Let them go and let yourself go on to find someone who can give to you the way you deserve. Not every relationship is meant to last forever. All relationships end one way or another...through break up or death. I say your relationship or marriage shouldn't feel like a death sentence.

I think it is okay to allow yourself to feel what you're feeling. Just don't act on it.
