I believe that it can be a combination of both sides. But also you can carry the gene for hair loss but not show symptoms of that gene but you can still pass it on. So your mom's dad might carry the gene for MPB but it was a recessive gene in his case so there was a small chance for him to pass it on but there is still the chance. That's also why you can have a group of five brothers and only 4 of them experience hairloss. But they have done tests that show the main genes that cause hairloss come from the X chromosome which in men is passed down from your moms side. Also genetics might make up the majority of the reason the contribute to MPB but around 20% of it can be influenced by all around wellness and health.

Mexicans or other south americans usually also have a low degree of facial hair. If i look at All, I do not spot a lot of areas where I see shaved hair. Mostly a moustache I'd guess and a bit around it, and some hairs on the cheeks I'd guess.
Italians and arabs usually most facial hair there is, but bald quickest too of all groups I think. Indians also bald early *and* have a lot of facial hair. I like your theories Nick! Most people about these topics just repeat a few things about hairloss, but you actually have more own ideas.. I like that! it's very refreshing!

If it's not scientifically based, it's just a statement, not a theory. Increased influence of maternal grandfathers specifically is known to be a myth (even though I personally inherited my baldness from my maternal grandfather).

Good information in these videos actually! Yes, the maternal grandfather theory has been debunked, though from what I've gathered, you are just slightly more likely (1-2% more) to inherit your hair loss genes, or the lack thereof, from your maternal side. The father and maternal grandfather are the two figures to scrutinize most, if you're concerned. Your uncle seems to enjoy his hair! Happy xmas.

Believe it or not I had a full head of hair the moment I was born, right before I reached the age of 1. I have baby photos to prove it. I’m now about the age of 28, and I’m between Norwood 6 to 7. I’ll probably end up 7 when I get even older? My grandpa (dad of my mom) had thick hair before he passed away, as in polar opposite of mine. I don’t think there’s a formula when i comes this issue? We can’t really do anything about it, we just have to deal with it. But yes, it’s an interesting topic.

I wouldn't stress until you go see a dermatologist, bc it's a catch 22 that stress can actually induce hair loss as well 😂 If you're that worried there's stuff you can do like rogaine for now and in all honesty there will probably be some sort of permanent cure within the next 10-15 years.

I have a theory from watching this video and your one with your dad . Your dads hairline was worse at 35 than yours at 35 and I think that’s because your moms side of the family’s hair is so good that it’s basically extended your timeline . I think the fact their hair is so good it may have gave you an extra 5-10 years longer than your dad had . If that makes sense . My half brothers dad was losing his hair at 35 but now he’s 34 (my half brother) and he still has a pretty solid NW2 hairline . Definitely better than his fathers at that age

Your channel is pretty interesting..Now, I don't mean to bother you but I don't get why you claim that your uncle is half white and half Mexican ....I mean, Mexican is just a nationality not a race...Many Mexicans are white...Now, I am guessing that his father or mom who is Mexican happens to be "mestizo" that would mean that such person is half white and half native American which would make your uncle 75 percent white and 25 percent native or indigineous....You know there was a time in the U.S. when Italians weren't considered to be white. God bless you.

It's not all about genetics tho. A poor diet that lacks vitamins, minerals, protein etc. can cause hair loss issues. Lack of sleep and large amounts of stress are possible hair loss factors as well. Think of how many unhealthy Americans there are in 2020. You may think you're a healthy person and not have any of these possible causes attacking your hairs lifespan but you do and it's killing your hair.
