Owner: "Just needs an oil change and a battery and it's good to go"
Cobalt: "Imma bout to end this man's whole career."
Couldn't have said it better myself bro 😂
@@BuddysDIY this really sucks man, find some place to scrap the shell of the car, and then take off the wheels and sell them, aswell as whatever you can salvage from the car
Damm it boy
It was to good to go...but didn't say where!
Good to go to the junkyard! 😅
Spot on.
Hell yeah. Finally someone that’s real and shows the down sides too
Appreciate the love man! Goya be real with your viewers
True side of the business, loved that! Great video, and great tips to apply in the future for me. Diy videos are cool, but seen you work that car to the last resort...priceless, great video
@@BuddysDIY You're awesome and your channel is a blessing
Aaa towing best diy tool. 5 100 mile towing for like $100 yearly

I love how you're not just a basic flipper. You actually making sure everything is safe to run for the future owner
Appreciate the love💪💪💪
THIS!!! this is exactly what most people flipping don't show on youtube!
I love this channel keep doing your thing!
Thank you brother!!
Totally agree
Si wei
@@BuddysDIY do you need a dealers license to flip cars
I clicked on this video thinking "Will he ever show investments gone wrong?" Turns out this video is exactly that. Thanks for the honesty.
Hahah you got good intuition.
I was just thinking the same thing after watching his other videos and then bam he did it.
Dang man that cobalt did not want to cooperate
Yousif you have no idea. That car gave me gray hairs
@@BuddysDIY Dude, at least you are showing the ugly side of the business. Many people on RUclips only show the positive side, not ugly side.
@@georgeross6304 yeah it was not ideal for sure. Gotta show both sides of the coin man
@@BuddysDIY Hey bud, do you have dealer license or you just title jump?
@@georgeross6304 I have a license brother. I know alot of people who jump titles tho. I always recommend you follow state and county guidelines
I REALLY appreciate Buddy showing the real-world aspect of buying/selling and that there is RISK.
Appreciate you appreciating me 😁😁
I knew something was off when he wasn’t done with the engine and the video was about to end. At least he was honest.
Gotta keep it real
a HUGE thank you to this channel. i work on cars for a living and when i tell you this is a 100% accurate step by step tutorial on how its done. i appreciate you teaching others an honest hustle! also the editing and camera quality is also good so props man, much luv coming your way from houston 🤘🏼
Appreciate you homie! Much more good content to come!!
Never clicked faster, these videos are awesome
Haha appreciate that man
Chevy Cobalt: I'm going to torture this man, he has no idea.
Hahahaha bruhhh
This guy walks us through the entire process, do’s and don’ts, not like some of these other guys with shitty videos, vague terms half ass explaining. Thank you for your videos 👍
Absolutely brother!
I did not feel like watching your video, but I normally really love the flips! but to support you I played the whole video for the RUclips algorithm without my headset on, you deserve to get big!!
Appreciate that man!!!
Can you add manhours on here? I'm curious how many man hours you put into some of these flips and I really like watching these videos.
Thats what id be wanting too
It all depends how good you are fixing / handy and how far detailed.
Um, I stayed up all night watching your flipper videos.
Man, you’ve got the recipe down, keep putting those videos out! I know that they’re probably very time consuming, but they are unique in their quality and layout!!
your 100% right!. tim consuming as hack! but yes nobody else have videos like these!
These videos are therapeutic AF! All the time and effort into into vehicles really makes me appreciate my mechanic buddies who do things for me as kind gestures.
I'm sure your videos take a couple days to edit, but I absolutely love how you tie it all together.
It takes a wile lol. But thanks! Structuring a video like this takes some thought!
I appreciate how real you are about this stuff - good, bad, and the ugly. Loving your content! Keep it up 🤘🏼
Thank you for being super honest! actually this video encouraged me! not discouragement here! any business has it's pros & cons! and here is Buddy sharing his honest experience and not being shy of admitting his bad experiences! Thank you again for being honest!
Honesty is refreshing on RUclips. Not many videos willing to show the downside.
watched the beamer flip before this. after this video... the integrity of the paint job thing from the beamer and the honesty about the flip fail is amazing. thank you for not just ditching this content all together. this is good info to show people sometimes you just gotta cut your losses and get what you can get and never blow your whole wallet on one car because well... shit happens. and sometimes even a 500 car you cant make money on. Some cars are just fucked. i subscribed after watching this video. keep it up man. love the money wall where you keep track of spending and values and all that.
Appre that love and support bro. Means alot!
Best part of your channel is that you make videos with the intention of educating us and not with the intention of getting a bizzare number of views! Love your videos. Waiting for more!
Dude as I watch your videos a lot of the cars that you've got I have bought on flips as well. Crazy how the car flipping business goes. It's like the same cars are always sold with the same issues for the same prices.Love it.
wow, I'm about to start this exact adventure, flipping, and doing it properly...I'd hate to have an experience like this as my first go at it lol. I'm taking notes, watching all the vids, and have a backer. hopefully things will be ok. I won't be flipping junk, I want to be a respectable person that has their name mentioned when others need a good deal on a used car, other than that, my conscious won't allow me to crap work, I've lost my ass on jobs plenty of times because I insisted on doing things the right way, I've also lost actual jobs because of that, some employers won't tolerate it when you let them know they're not doing the right thing morally. fortunately for me, I don't that much about being wealthy, I'd rather be happy, healthy, and someone people can trust, that 's worth more than any amount of green paper in the world.
Best of luck my friend. You can always leave a comment if you want any questions answered!
@@BuddysDIY thanks man ^^ it went downhill, my hopeful business partners wife had different plans for his money(or maybe he he did, and didn't think I'd understand). Maybe someday! staying optimistic.
@@ABCDEFGHIJKELA... did you end up flipping any cars
@@smile-br8mu tried, failed ^^ couldn't find the capital. Working hard so that I can follow that dream in the future, I have not given up! Thanks for asking :) edit- I might start with bikes/scooters, a crawl before walk type thing.
@@ABCDEFGHIJKELA... I’m also on that route, have finally got into cars after flipping atv, bikes and clothes for a year combined with work. Give it a go. But be real hard on your money for a while don’t spend it on nonsense and only necessaries and you will eventually get into cars. It’s a long road but it’s worth it in the end
Awesome and super honest video! It’s great to see your process and also the humility to show a “failure”. Great advice. Subbed. 😊
Glad to have you on the buddy's diy family!
Detailed, and Honest. SUBSCRIBED!
I love this series. Please never stop. I learn so much and have so much fun watching.
I watched the whole way through, really nice and detailed vid! Thanks for the honesty
Thank you brother!
What a great video, thank you so much for your time, effort, and honesty. This gives everyone us realistic expectations, while learning how to go about different situations. Thanks again for this top notch content!
I love the honesty - this is such a great channel.
Love the honesty, Thank you. I'll keep in mind!
THE most important lesson on this channel for any business owner. Kudos for the transparency
Thanks for being willing to show both sides of the story. My brother and I have been thinking about doing this for a couple months now. And your videos are really helpful. I think we are still a couple months away from head first diving in. But I have bookmarked your patreon page and look forward to some future advice.
Bet you never flipped cars
Had a 2010 2.2 coupe for 10 years. Besides a head replacement due to low compression, trans rebuilt, trouble communcating with FAB programming, beeps when unlocking manually, she never left me stranded. She was a love/hate relationship.
I've weirdly heard horror stories and success stories from Chevy Cobalt owners. I flip cars too and have had about a dozen of them, always made a little money with them but just lost money for the first time on a 2010 Cobalt LT, timing chain issue, bought it with a lopey idle thinking it was something else. Coincidentally my grandmother has an '09 Cobalt with about 80k original miles that she bought new, never been in the shop for anything in 12 years, still on the original brake pads even.
Once they hit 100k that chains slips 9/10 times. Biggest pos car lol
i’m glad this my first video ive watched on flipping cars so I know it’s always going to be well
I've watched you other flipping videos but this one earned a sub! Looking forward to more!
Thank you brother. There will be more to come!!
@@BuddysDIY Agree with Henry Stross! Did the same as him!!! Your girlfriend is a keeper better make some flips for the ring! ;)
Yo these vids are great man, super informative and entertaining. Keep it up bro
More to come brother!!
Tons of wisdom in these vids. Very down to earth and realistic.
Very good skills to know when negotiating and buying used as well.
I absolutely love this channel. Cannot wait to see future car flip videos!! Thank you!!
Nice job man! A buddy and I flip cars as well and we occasionally get the ones we call wash and flips. Made a quick $500 car wash and some hubcaps the other day. Love doing it!
Good stuff man. Yeah it's fun forsure. There is plenty of wash and flips out there. I do them as well but these longer projects make for better videos of course haha
Love the grind
Appreciate the love homie!
Thank you for your honesty Buddy.
You know at first I was like wow this dude really made me watch a video of him taking a loss but then again I actually learned a couple things and I appreciate the honesty so I subscribed btw love the Chevy Blazer video keep these videos coming Buddy !
I just smokes a joint and watched this vid for the third time whilst eating an entire pack of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
Thank you Buddy for realism!
Absolutely!
Beautiful done. Even the failure and reasons why are appreciated. I've watched some of your successful cases and videos.
I’m in love with these videos man thanks
Just found your channel today and was hooked, great stuff! My teen boys and I flipped our first car (Ford Ranger) recently and had fun and made some $$$. Appreciate your super clear and straightforward explanations, keep it coming!
Thanks brother! Appreciate the support! More to come!
It seems like testing fuel pressure before buying and installing a new pump would be a good thing to do. It takes much less time and is free.
I appreciate this video so damn much!! I’ve been in the car game 17 years. Feels good to know I’m not alone taking a hit every once in a while.
Wow, finally someone is there who is living a real life and is that has that much courage to show the ugly side of car buying.
Thanks and keep up the good work
I never like or dislike videos, but the fact you have so low likes and views, I like every single one. Keep it up bud!
Buddy, roughly how much would a mechanic charge for going through the entire mechanical repair process you describe (drop tank and replace pump, fix lines, inspect timing chain and adjust)? I've been watching a bunch of these kinds of videos, and it seems that unless you can do these repairs yourself, the cost is prohibitive in that there is no profit left. Suggestion: if you make more of these flip videos, maybe also keep a running cost list estimating the cost if a mechanic performed the work.
Not a bad idea. I might start making videos braking down the flips on how much profit you can make letting someone do the work
Youre the best yt flipper i have seen. Hats off to you! Keep those best videos coming. We will keep on supporting you!
Thanks for sharing, binge watching your channel!
you had me in the first half not gonna lie
Hahaha I had myself too 😂
Thumbs-up for being honest.
Thank you brother!
Thank you for this honest video! This car really had the perfect storm when it came to issues. It amazes me how little some people care about cars.
Please keep doing more of these full flip videos! Love them and I’m trying to get into it and these tips are great
So much respect for showing the “ugly”
When will you post the inspection video? Also, I’m tracking a lot of cars now to see what the condition/age/mileage is compared to the asking price to get a better handle on the market but I’d really like to know what they sell for. Is there a way to determine that or guesstimate pretty closely?
Also, I am a recent subscriber. Liking them a lot!
ive been working on it the last few days! that or the headlight restoration is the next one out!
It's not always a win but for sure a learning experience... Thanks for your honesty 👍🏼
Your probably the most realistic RUclips channel out their for flipping cars and I watched alot of car channel videos and yours is my favorite drama free and realistic scenarios and I like that you put how much you pay for your car and how much you make in profit also how much time is spent on each flip because alot of RUclips channels talk about spending 50 dollars on a part to fix a car but they spend 40 hours fixing the car like a normal person has 40 hours a week to fix cars.
Finally the real truth about flipping
Yes sirr
So moral of the story is don't buy a Chevy 😂😂
Don't buy a eco tech engine by Chevy
This has to be the best car flipping show on the youtube ! well done and keep on making these gems
Thank you so much for not repeating every element from the list every time you added one. Thank you sir! Great video!
I had been wondering how do you drive back with two cars does a friend come with or do you hook it up to you’re car ?
My girl usually helps me out lmao. Or a friend
the thing I hate about Facebook is you can't filter out Dealer vs. Private Party sellers.
Or the "Private Party" sellers who show their cars with no tags on them.
yes, thank you for showing and standing up to that! Amazing
I love the honesty, you sir just earned a new subscriber

Thanks for your honesty. There's a lot to learn in this video too. Sometimes, it just doesn't work out.
Why didn’t you run a compression test before buying?
Doing a compression test in someones driveway is a bit much but it can be done!
Do you need a dealers license to flip cars ?
Unless you keep it under the state limit per year
Full transparency! Great vid bro 👍🏾
Thank you brother! I love this series!
U are gonna go a far way on this platform man, like your videos!
Love the channel I flip cars when the mowing season gets slow great way to make ends meet
This type of content is very interesting and entertaining to watch plus your edits are gold, very educational too, I’m really glad I found your channel
my favorite vid of the series so far
I’m glad you showed the downsides. A lot of newer flippers might keep on trying to fix the car causing them to lose faith and become frustrated. Better to get rid of the headache before it becomes a migraine and a money drain.
Love your videos man!
I’m truly grateful for your videos! Very informative!
keep em coming man love these types of videos
Where has this channel been all my life ? 😁 I'm doing this part time and if I see results I would love to do it full time . Its good to see others ppls results .it keeps me motivated keep it up hustler

I just found this channel the other day and I can't stop watching
Just found your channel today and I LOVE these videos! Keep it up!
Just found your channel and after a few videos I subscribed. Great work. This is what I have always wanted to do.
These videos are great, keep them coming!
I absolutely love this series. One of my favorites currently on RUclips.
Your videos are awesome. I really like the details of your work. Please keep on flipping cars they are entertaining to watch.👍👍
Thanks for your honesty
I watched most of your car flip videos, and I was surprised to see the end of this. And finally! Someone who shows the ugly side of business. I know it can seem clickbaity to a ton of people, but itreallyi is what it feels like when things go sideways not just in the car flipping business but also in any business. Keep making more videos man, I'm actually from the Philipines, and I love your videos!
I love your videos man. keep it up!!!
Thanks for the honesty! My Spidey senses were tingling when the seller said multiple times that it needed an oil change. To most non-car people they think oil change is a cure-all, when in reality most stuff will run fine with oil that is many years old.
