    @ Jefferson: Sorry, can`t answer your comment directly - did you disabled this function?
    Have in mind that this frame is made for a take off weight up to around 2,6 KG (our T650 Sport has 2,77 KG). The problem in the long run are the clips of the folding mechanism. Our T650 Sport was for testing the LL, 4008 motor, different esc`s and the gimbal but not for reaching the max. possible flight time. A good setup for this aspect is the DJI E600 propulsion set. Less weight, good quality, very low vibrations but "only" up to 1,6 KG thrust/ motor. You can use the E600 set with a good 25c rated LiPo and save a bit of weight. The main key is the take off weight. We achieved with a T650 IM and E600, Gimbal and GoPro, 6s 4.000 mAh (but 35c rating) and 2,55 KG take off weight 12 - 13 min. mixed flight time (3.65 V/ cell). To remain safe belonging the max weight of this frame, a 6s 5.000 - 6.000 mAh is the max. size / weight of the LiPo battery. So I think you can reach 16 - 17 minutes without overloading the frame with too big LiPo packs what also has an effect for adjusting the CG. Bad CG costs a lot of flight time. If you need more flight time, the Tarot 680 Pro with E600 would be a good choice.

    Hi, great build. Is there any way to adjust the retracts so they retract more, even or close to even with the arm booms?

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  9 лет назад

      ***** Hi, we did not tried out. The controller gives no options for adjusting the way but maybe it is adjustable a bit with the servo settings of the RC sender.

    Beautiful build! I recently purchased a Tarot 650 Sport frame and am considering building this same quadcopter. But I'm starting to worry about weight and flight time. The retracting legs of the 650 sport, add another 300 grams compared to the standard 650 model. Also, I'm not able to find a battery that has a higher power density than my DJI Phantom 2 (which boasts around 13mAh/g) and with the weight of batteries, I'm worried this copter would have a flight time significantly lower than my phantom 2 which is around 22 minutes in FPV. What is the honest flight time you are able to get out of the build while using FPV and recording with GoPro? Also what LiPo battery would you recommend using? Thanks A LOT, I'm really excited about this quad, but just want to assuage some concerns before I start building (and buying) so learning about your experience would be super helpful.

    To all the nay sayers out there about this frame. The retracts are great, I ordered 500mm L x 10mm wide carbon fiber tubes to replace the stock ones for the battery tray and gimbal mount. I have no gear retracts or props in any of my shots. I just got done with this build about a week ago (Jan 21, 2014). I will have a build video and on board video up on my page this week. I used the PCB board using Avroto 3515 400kv motors, maytech 45amp esc's, naza v2, h3-3d gimbal, Pulse 6s 35c 10000mah LiPo. Flight Time: Hover; 34 minutes Forward Flight; 28 minutes. No temp issues on the board what so ever.

    Did you use the built in PCB? I want to to make it clean, but I'm not sure if it's rated for 6S. Also does yours have a GPS, If so, Where did you put it?

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  9 лет назад

      No, we used a separate PCB. But the inbuilt one seems to be more massive then the most available PCBs in the market. We took a separate one to have easy access to it. For mounting the Pixhawk and GPS-module we added a small battery plate from TAROT with M3 bolds upside the upper centerplate: blog.synosystems.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/2014-11-14-11.24.45.jpg

    have you had any problems during flight like it flying out of your control or any other problems? I am currently building one. I am waiting on the parts from China. I have almost the same build as yours. I mostly just want to use it for Arial Photography. I want it to be able to fly just about anywhere like the new DJI if I can

      Taylor, no problems at all so far. also never heard from a flyaway with a 3DR Pixhawk autopilot. you should not have any problems if you pay attention to the common safety guidelines. did you bought the same gimbal (X-Cam A10-3H)?

      ITK Thomas Kremer SYNOSYSTEMS UAV unfortunately I haven't purchased a gimbal and camera yet. I am hoping there will be a nice 4K camera being released soon or I just might buy the HERO4. I do really like the gimbal you have though. I will probably go with a 3 axis when I purchase one.

    Hi, I'm going to build this quad in the next months. Do you recommend these motors (Tarot 4008)? Thank you very much.

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  9 лет назад

      +Accuracy Channel Hi, we had the best results with the DJI E600 Propulsion Set. The 4008 motors have around 25% more thrust but significant less flight time. The choice is depending from the copters AUW and usage. More details in my answer to Jefferson (below).

    1. dji naza m-v2 +iosd mini+bluethooth module
    2. x-cam A10 -H3 gimbale the same you use
    what is the best motor size /esc/prop/battery do you recomand for this setup ?

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  9 лет назад

      Hi Effy,
      the T 650 Sport doesn`t support big propellers - recommended is 13". Without canopy and a bit overlapping the upper centerplate 14" props are possible. For long flighttimes, 6s with 13" propeller is more efficiant than e.g. 4s/ 14". This copter frame should have a takeoff weight below 3 KG. Our Test - 650 Sport has 2,77 KG takeoff weight including gimbal and 6s 4.000 mAh. 370 KV - 400 KV with 6s give you a responsilble RPM layout and 6 - 7 KG thrust would be a good range and enough power in crtical situations ;-). Note: The TAROT frames IM 650, T650 Sport, T 680 Pro etc. are using all the same folding mechanism which is not made for heavy weights or massive power.

    Könnt Ihr mir bitte sagen, wie man das Landegestell anschließt?

    • @tomgerritzen
      @tomgerritzen 9 лет назад

      Die Kabel von beiden Beinen sind im Controller. Der Controller hängt an der Stromversorgung. Das Signalkabel geht vom Controller zum Empfänger auf Kanal 8. In meinem Sender habe ich bei den Mischern auf Kanal 8 als Quelle den Schalter (Taster) SH gelegt. Betätige ich den Taster SH tut sich leider nichts. Was mache ich wohl falsch?

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  9 лет назад

      Tom Gerritzen Hallo, der Schalter muss innerhalb bestimmter PWM-Werte liegen. Ob das mit dem Taster einstellbar ist? Der Taster liefert nur 2 Werte - im Prinzip fehlt da ja noch die Null-Stellung (Festwert). Wir haben zur Ansteuerung die PWM-Werte in unserem Blogbericht gelistet: blog.synosystems.de/tarot-650-sport/ . Wenn man keinen Schalter hat, müsste die Ansteuerung auch an den Gasweg/ die Stellung das Gas-Sticks koppelbar sein. Das ist zwar nicht so elegant weil bei situationsbedingter, kurzzeitig starker Gasrücknahme dann auch das Landesgesetz runter fährt, aber der Zweck heiligt ja die Mittel ;-).

    what is the flight time with this setup?

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  9 лет назад

      the flight time depends on the LiPo of course. We reached +/- 16 minutes with a 6s 7.000 mAh while demonstrating the flightplan features of the 3DR Pixhawk to a customer. the speed between the waypoints was set to 18 KM/h (5 m/ sec).

    hi, super copter! Möchte mir auch den 650 Sport mit der Pixhawk zulegen. Kannst du mir eventuell deine eingestellten PIDs verraten? Wäre sehr hilfreich ;-)

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  8 лет назад

      +Daniel Sinn Hi, die PIDs sind original Werkseinstellung des Pixhawk bzw. der Firmware. Ich bin allerdings im manuellen Modus (Stabilize Mode) geflogen - im Loiter-Mode (GPS-Hold) wäre der Kopter langsamer/träger. Den Wert für den -> "Loiter-Speed" kann man bis zu einem gewissen Grad an die eigenen Vorlieben anpassen/erhöhen - sofern man im PH-Mode schnell fliegen möchte (meist Ex - DJI Naza etc. Piloten) ... sonst gibt es da keinen Handlungsbedarf. Nach einiger Zeit mit dem Pixhawk wirst Du Kleinigkeiten auf Deine persönlichen Anforderungen anpassen wollen. Es sind Werte wie z.B. das Einbremsen in die PH-Hold Position, max. Steig- und Sinkrate und solche Sachen. PIDs im Sinne von Stabilität des Kopters müssen erfahrungsgemäß nur bei großen Frames oder bei Unter-/Übermotorisierung etwas nachgeschärft/ entschärft werden. Dafür eignet sich die eingebaute Autotune-Funktion, die zwischenzeitlich sehr ordentliche Ergebnisse liefert.

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  8 лет назад

      +Daniel Sinn Hi Daniel, ohne Modifikation (längere Ausleger) passt das E800 nicht, die Props haben Übermaß und sind knapp 14". Du kannst aber den T Ironman 650 nehmen, und die Motorhalter vom 650 Sport. Das schafft Platz für bis zu 16". Das eLandegestell vom Sport passt auch. Wenn der 650 Sport nicht grenzwertig schwer wird, reicht aber das E600. Antrieb 4s geht natürlich auch, aber ein qualitativ vergleichbares Antriebsset wird insgesamt etwas teuerer als die Tuned Propulsion Sets von DJI.

    • @rafale52
      @rafale52 8 лет назад

      +ITK Thomas Kremer SYNOSYSTEMS UAV hi Thomas, wie kann dann premium Modellbau.de ein 4S Antriebsset passend für den 650 Sport anbieten, welches 15 Zoll Props dabei hat?!
      Da dürften die 14 Zoll vom E800 eigentlich kein Problem sein.

      Hi Effy, we are dealer and are testing all major products for a short time before we are selling them. The Sunrise esc`s are very interesting, because they are fitting into many copter frames carbon tubes above 19 mm. Before testing them inside the tubes, we checked the temperature range with the TAROT 650 Sport (mounted on the upper centerplate). They remain cold and are working fine so far. We also sold a small amount (around 30 pcs.) to customers yet. So far, no problems with this product. The HW Platinum Pro esc is well known good quality. Hard to decide if the Sunrise esc`s are the same quality - it`s a question of experience in the near future. But if you buy from a Chinese dealer, you should get the HW Platinum Pro 40A noticeable below 30 USD ..... the difference belonging the prices is not that big.

    • @SynosystemsDe
      @SynosystemsDe  7 лет назад

      We recommend a max. AUW below 3 KG for this frame. Many people are flying this frame with higher AUW. But have an eye for the clips of the folding mechanism. The rest depends from your propulsion. The T4108 motors in this video (4008 version, 380KV) are offering around 1,7 KG thrust each (6s, 13" props).
