    In row 3, when you are talking about isolating ch. 2 and 6, the easiest way is to remember that the bottom of the fan stitches slide on their loop. Just like the Virus shawl. When you DC into the fans for the 2nd row of DC and dc/ch.1, ignore the connected stitch of previous row. The fan stitches slide.

    I aswell was struggling with the borders. Is it possible you should end row 3 in the third slip stitch?

    Thank you. I'm glad you decided to do an over revised version. The 1st one got me all confused.😣 I always enjoy your videos tutorials. You are awesome.😁 I have a question: to make a wider shawl, let's say 110 chains; do I start on the eleventh chain from the hook, or should i go up and start on the 22nd chain from the hook🤔???

    • @fiberflux
      @fiberflux  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you for your kind words! If you want to make it wider, you would make your chains in the multiple you need, and then follow the pattern as written. Its written so that any multiple of the starting chain you end up doing, the stitch pattern will work up the same way. So, you would still work into the 11th chain. I hope that helps!

    I love the pattern and appreciate the time you have taken to do the tutorial but, like other comments, I became very confused with border as different on either side, yet yours are identical. Looked closely at your finished shawl and noticed there're is a sc at both ends. Then checked the written pattern and says that on row 2 to repeat to end - finishing with sc then chain 2 and dc into 6th chain? In your tutorial you chain 2 after 7dc and dc into 6th chain (no sc) ??

      Did you ever receive a reply? I'm also struggling with discrepancies between the written & the video.

    Hi there....I just have to ask you this question. On my shawl the side where we SC at the end into the SC of the previous row (row 3 repeat) is cinched in. The side where we DC into the 6th stitch at the end of the row (row 2 repeat) is straight. So in the end one side will be longer than the other. Is this part of the design or am I doing something wrong? Should I DC at the end of row 2 and 3 instead of DC for row 2 and SC for row 3?
    Thank you for your guidance! Your videos are great. 🙂

    Are the written instructions (linked to above) accurate? I'm having trouble following the written pattern, but can follow along fine with the video.

    I meant at the end of each row does not match the other end of row. The end just looks different than the other end.

    J'aime beaucoup tout ce que vous faites. Mais dommage qu'il n'y ait pas la possibilité d'avoir la traduction en français. Mais vous expliquez tellement bien qu'on s'y retrouve quand même. Meilleurs vœux !!
