October 18, 2024 - Robin I have made this show several times and really loved the stitch. In fact, I have used the stitch in larger blankets. This looks particularly well using Scarfie , Which I think is made by lion Brand. At any rate, it works up really fast, and always looks great. Thanks again for being such a good instructor.
Thank you for this wonderful video you made! I’m one of our odd balls. I’m a male crocheter who loves to work my hooks and keep my hands busy. I’ve been told I am dyeing due to end stage liver failure however, my God is not ready for me yet so I keep busy with my crochet 🧶 projects and give them away as gifts 🎁 from the heart ♥️ thanks again! 👍🙏🏻
I’m back again.. Justvto say thst this pattern has become my go-to for my prayer shawls... It goes so quickly... I have used Caron Cskes, and Scsrfir..both with the K hook, and the shawls were perfect. It’s also good for a lap covering for wheelchair bound folks. I love it..
This was an EXCELLENT EXCELLENT TUTORIAL!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to go through the first two rows especially the second row repeat to ensure we understood how the pattern is completed. I also appreciate that you filmed up close so there was no mistaking what stitch was completed or how the fan worked up. I thought the speed with which you worked was PERFECT. Not too fast or too slow. I have been looking for a nice rectangular shawl pattern that was easy to follow and one I could make too. So thank you for sharing and being so considerate of your viewers. I love this shawl and am soooo excited to start my own. Thanks again!! Big hugs!!
Thank you for this tutorial! This will be my first shawl. I'm going to use black, orange, purple, and green since it's close to Halloween. I would like to use a varigated color also.
When I saw this video, I now know the Christmas gift that I will be making for my Niece ... her name is Autumn so this is perfect. Thanks for the detailed tutorial! Take care, Kris K from CT
I made the Autumn Symphony Shawl using your tutorial last year when you put it out. Love it more especially as I am wearing it today in this 55 degree 🌄. It came out beautiful and it was my first shawl ever .
I cannot wait to make baby blanket for my newborn granddaughter. They moved to LA three months ago. I like when you do like 4 444in the end 3 it is easier for me so I don't get lost my chain thank you 🙏💋💕
I started this pattern this evening and I love it! I had this pack of yarn that I didn’t know what to make of it so I thought it shawl would be a perfect stitch with the yarn. I love it!
Oct 7, 2020 Hello! I'm using two strands of Red Heart Super Saver in the Earthy and Café Latte colors. I've personally found that when it comes to the end of the rows, it makes a cleaner edge when you do your last double crochet into the top of the chain 3 from the previous row. I love the way this is working up so far!
This has become my very favorite stitch. In fact, I just finished a large prayer wrap/lap Blanket for my daughter’s MIL. I am planning to use it on a blanket for my 29yo Grandson, Michael. Forgot to mention that I used a K hook on the prayer shawl/blanket, and it was perfect. The project flew..👍
Thank you for the written pattern. As an older person I sometime can't remember after I lay it down. I Need a Christmas/birthday gift for a friend & this will be GREAT. Her birthday is 24 Dec & though shes in TX she'll be using it with the AC in summer. Thanks again.
I love your channel ♥️. I have made most of your projects in many colors and have donated to our local place of need here in the town. I love making the infinity scarves with the bulky yarn. Thank you so much! It's my 'go to' channel.🤗
02-05-20 I’ve commented at least twice before, but just wanted to say how much I love rhuscstitch. My youngest (of five) grandson wants a very bright blanket...with accents of red... I am considering using RH Tavorite Stripes with this stitch.. I’m going to do a practice bit tonight, to see how it woukd look. I’ve used this stitch in several projects, and it always works... Thanks....again...
I love this shawl is beautiful. I want to add a border but I’m having difficulty doing it in a rectangular shawl. Will you please do a tutorial adding a border, I will really appreciate it. I like very much your tutorials, I made many of your shawls and I love all of them. Thanks
September 23, 2019.. I just want to say that I first watched this very excellent tutorial Seotember 22st. of last year...It was published in 2018... I’ve watched it 2-3=times since then, because I absolutely love this beautiful pattern, and love using it, My parish has a fairly new ministry... a Prayer Shawl Ministry, called Wrapped in Love. I have just joined the small group, and am about to start my first contribution. It seemed natural to choose this lovely pattern. I recently used it to crochet my daughter’s very ilk MIL a large piece that can be used as a wrapped, or as a lapghan. I wish I coukd insert a picture.. Anyway, thank you again for making this tutorial... I absolutely love the yarn you used... It’s gorgeous💜
I think that it looks like you could make it up pretty fast and easy, and I'm looking for fast and easy things to do. But I have to say that I really like the fall colors and I wonder what it would look like with tassels
This pattern is awsome, I'm using Puzzle yarn by Nichole at AcMoore, making mine longer but it is coming together fast and so beautiful. Color way is mix of teal blue and browns. Thank toy Jennifer
I used this pattern..,along with Red Heart’s With Love..in Cherry Red...to crochet a beautiful shawl/wrap, for my daughter. I plan to use this pattern to make prayer shawls... THANKS!
Thanks for this lovely pattern. I will make this just wider so it's a shawl instead of a scarf. As for the yarn, I can't get it anywhere in the USA and even the online stores in the UK that ship worldwide don't have it. I emailed the Italian company Adriafil asking them how to buy it in the USA and will let you all know if and when I get a response back. Now for the substitutions. I bought Red Heart with Love in the color Autumn and it's nice but much darker shades and not what I need for this project. Will use it for a hat and scarf set instead with a different pattern. Same with the Read Heart Super Saver color Fall. Does not work at all for this pattern. If all else fails I will use one of the cake yarns that have similar colors in them. So far I haven't found any that is as nice as the Adriafil Mistero ( not Misterio) Autumn Fancy.
What a lovely pattern. Your instruction is excellent and I appreciate your time very much. I am whipping this up so quickly. Exactly what I need as an inexperienced and new person to crochet. I look forward to working many more patterns with you in the future, you have some gorgeous ones. This pattern in particular is an excellent confidence booster myself being so new. I am working mine in a solid by Caron called Antique Rose. It is really quite lovely.
I remember this being on the magazine! The yarn is yummy! This is my favorite stitch you do❤️❤️❤️ I’m doing one that’s similar right now in Red Heart unforgettable in the color way Echo. I just absolutely LOVE the YARN and your tutorials 👏👏👏
I've used this stitch before I love it works up so fast and looks great. Great Tutorial as usual. Planning on this to be my next project. Thinking spring colors
Just of of Red Heart site and found Woodsy, Fall and a color called Cherrycola. Not as pretty and vibrant as the Adriafil Jennifer is using but it may work for some of us.Also checked several other sites bu did not run a cross the beautiful shades she used. You guys may want to check Red Heart just in case you want to get right down to it. Happy crocheting.
as always thank you so much for your lovely tutorials! i've been going through a really rough time this year and you taught me how to meditate using crochet! I'm going to try this next :)
Lovely pattern. I am working this up in Sugarwheel "Go-Go Cocoa" color way and it is stunning. Thank you for taking the time to make this tutorial. Nicely done. I doubled my stitches to have a wider shawl wrap and I am very excited with the outcome.
Love this pattern but I want to do a single crochet foundation row after chaining my desired length. Would I start the pattern in the fifth chain of the foundation row or where???
Made this shawl 4 years ago and loved it, but i gave it away to a co worker. I miss it so i found same colorway and am makinh it again for me!
What did yu use instead of yarn user
August, 2023. I love this pattern, and have used it for several projects…it makes a very nice blanket… Thanks, so much. Sandy…frim Cuncinnati…❤❤❤

I am so making not only a shawl but a scarf and a blanket in fall colors💜💜
Beautiful ❤. Thank you Jennifer
A skein of red heart ombré is about 600 yards, so that would work. I made a shawl with it and it’s actually a thin 4 medium yarn. Might do that.
I wish I could find this yarn and color. Love it!
Going to make this one for a friend for Christmas..thanks
It's very similar to the Island Lace Stitch 😊
Thanks for another awesome tutorial- I made a shawl and fingerless gloves to match!!
