Cool fact about the Civil war 2 : up to date it was the most bloodiest conflict in American history killing over 600,000 people and destroying much of the Southern states the economic turmoil afterwards can be found in large ripples today making the south one of (if not #1) Poorest areas in the USA I had a trip down to South Carolina recently in Charleston driving around a old neighborhood made me see people with guns a meth lab and on top of that many homeless when coming near Rainbow row very close by shops became artisan while where I was at first had barely functioning Walmarts that you get robbed often at and alone this divide is what the majority of the south is like hot, poor and sad and that is just one ripple of the Civil war... there is so much more.

Cool fact about the Civil war 4 : It has some of the most popular marches and folk tunes on earth with the First and Second World Wars having been bland and more focused on bloodshed then morale the Civil war was the last stand of the great "A song of morale" I mean the first world war did have them but.... Its hard to have songs when 90% of the battles are during when you can even try to make a song and you have trench foot and you have been charging the enemy for years...

Cool fact about the Civil war 3 : Fort Sumter was once 3 stories tall with hundreds of cannons until being destroyed by union and confederate artillery the Fort was part of the key line of forts on the river protecting Charleston with many nearby forts being left to rot it is amazing to see them as you go to Fort Sumter and think of the Guns firing from those very forts at the Garrison you can even see the cannons used at fort Sumter look more like WW1 cannons than anything meaning it was more major to the old forts looking to have had weapons from the early 1750's Fort Sumter was and still is a show of the times moving on from the age of muskets to rifles to Machine guns fort Sumter has seen them all.

Cool fact about the Civil war: There was a rich black confederate troop in New Orleans segregated to only be black its the only (sort of) Black regiment in the Confederate army though as seen by their combat and standing this was nothing near the mixed units later in the war of the Union though many Sons and Daughters of the confederacy say that they had black soldiers this was the closest we would get. Cool fact about the Civil war 5 (Finale) : This one singular war could've changed the world in so many ways (and this is just a civil war) during the civil war the USA and CSA had supplied cotton to the British if it wasn't for diplomacy coming in the nick of time we could've had a second war of 1812 and preserve world slavery for decades to come but it will still one day fall.... phew but this one event could've made Britain and American relations worse during the world wars could've changed presidents, Generals and if it was carried on too long could've caused a African Slave Revolt and the south becoming a black state and its own country...
