AR10. SAR. SR25. DPMS pattern this, DPMS Gen that.
One thing that I found when piercing a 30hate caliber rifle for scope work is dont bother with a CAR stock, use an A2. Notice Chad's cheek weld, and eye relief. Another benefit of the A2 is a much longer buffer spring. It's been my findings that the longer spring takes some of the recoil away, and is easier on the glass. Good video.

Would love to see some more AR10s on RUclips, had my S&W M&P10 out yesterday. Thing is so fun making long shots, punching holes through 1/4” steel plates I get on eBay. The Federal 150 soft tip was making 1” groups at 100yds. 308 ammo is expensive but the guns are not. It’s makes a good big brother to your AR15 when you want to splurge a little on ammo.

Just bought my first ar10 LR308. At less than $750 very well worth it. Put a cheap laser sight-duel color cross-hairs and a red projection laser all in one. Very cheap at 59 bucks. I'm definitely no pro shooter here. Mostly hand guns which I mostly miss what I'm aiming at. Cept for my prized colt python which is very accurate. But for an intro ar...this gun is awesome right outta the box. Took 4 rounds to sight in at a measly 45 yrds- no more room- but actually shot a hole thru a hole on 5 and 6 rounds. All total with 80 rounds of win 308 ammo. + taxes under a grand. I do want the front grip stand now that I seen them work. Will fire another couple 100 rounds at a longer range and see if she holds up. But for now, way way worth the cost

Hi Chad, great video! I got my LR back when you could walk in to DPMS in Minnesota and build your rifle at the counter. Not kidding. They built and shipped my rifle the next week to my FFL and it's been love ever since. I topped it with a fixed 10 power Sightron cam'ed for .308. My max distance available then was 500yds and the fixed 10 power was perfect. It loves Seller & Bello 168's. When I did my part a 5"group at 500 was not out of the norm.(less a couple of times) It does not like 150gr anything. You can not get a better rifle than a Gen 1 LR-308 for any reason. It is an impressive tool. I can not say that for later rifles produced after they were bought out. Oh and I have 5 original factory mags and never a mag issue, in fact I've not had any issues with this rifle and scope combination ever. Snow, ice, rain, heat, it preformed if you fed it good ammo.

I'd probably go with something other that the BA barrel though if you want to make it run sub moa. Young Manufacturing bolt carrier group in Chrome. SLR rifleworks adjustable gas block. Black Knight right rifle length gas tube. Knox stock with cheek Riser and monopod. Atlas bipod. Vortex Viper PST 6 by 24 by 50 mm illuminated reticle scope. Have not yet picked out my muzzle break as of yet just using a thread protector. I'm able to shoot three quarters of an inch groups at a hundred yards. Waiting on the muzzle brake to push it out to a thousand and see if I can even hit steel at a thousand I'm guessing I probably will be able to with the way this rifle is shooting. I’m building a 308 with a PA10 gen 3 lower and dpms gen 1 clone. The fit is very tight. There’s no movement at all between the lower and upper. I’m paring them with a ballistic advantage 20 inch bull barrel. I’m thinking the lack of any wiggle room between the receivers might help with accuracy. ??? Idk. The front takedown pin can’t be popped out without a punch but I’m not complaining. I was scared it wouldn’t work at all. This is my first build of any kind.

I have a gen 1 that has that real tall receiver I put a Magpul stock on it to help compensate for that high rail and a Geisselle trigger SSA Group size for M80 ball is very close to your results but mine absolutely loves 168 grain Federal Sierra Match King Unfortunately cans are not allowed in my state

This is what my senator sent back after letting him know my stance on 2A. Thank you for contacting me regarding the recent tragedies in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas. I appreciate the opportunity to respond. Tragedies like these are devastating, not only to the communities and loved ones impacted, but also to families across the nation as we grieve with them and keep them in our prayers.
The safety of our families is always my top priority, and I am a proud supporter of the Constitution, the Second Amendment and the rights of law-abiding citizens. As we work to move forward, I am committed to reviewing proposals that work to keep Americans safe. As Governor of Florida, I worked to increase safety measures in Florida’s schools through the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Act. We also passed a “red flag” law in the state of Florida, commonly referred to as an Emergency Risk Protection Order (ERPO). When properly constructed, red flag laws are a common sense measure to keep weapons out of the hands of any person who threatens to harm themselves or others, or who is mentally unstable.
As United States Senator, I remain focused on making sure that our schools and communities are safe, and that those struggling with mental health issues or threatening harm to themselves or others cannot use a weapon. I am currently working with my colleagues to pass the EAGLES Act (S. 495), which provides law enforcement more resources to prevent tragedies and improves school safety for students and teachers. I am also a cosponsor of the Threat Assessment, Prevention, and Safety (TAPS) Act (S. 265), which will create a task force of experts to provide recommendations for a national strategy to keep communities safe from targeted violence.
Again, thank you for your correspondence. I am proud to represent every citizen in Florida and I appreciate the time you took to provide your position on this matter. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Sincerely,
    Rick Scott

Mine LOVES 155 grain HPBTs, and they're good out to at least 800. The 155 grainers hold half inch or tighter groups at 100. 175 gr HPBTs hold at least MOA through it, and they'll definitely touch 1k, but not much past that.
I was using the PA 4-14x44 with DMR HUD reticle, but have since moved on to a USO TS-25X with JVCR reticle. I also opted for a tube mounted red dot sitting at 12 o'clock for close work, and keep the scope somewhere between 7x and 10x unless I'm ranging targets or spotting.

We didn't put that much into it really. Then he says Geissele trigger and mount. Sharps rifle BCG. The scope is a given however . I have a Docter target scope which is way more than a PA scope.
The absolute truth is the DPMS LR308 1st gen is a super rifle and even though the gen 2 is nice weight wise and in looks and size , the 1st gen outperforms it. The LR308 I would hate to have to pack it around. Seriously heavy soaked out.
I have a Troy forend and do have a geissele trigger a Leupold mount , magpul bipod , pistol grip and PRS stock.
Weight was not a concern as I built it to be used in a stationary situation.
I have other AR platforms for on the move.
I love the 7.62X51 cal. I also am somewhat impressed with the 6.5 Creedmoor.

Ok will start by saying I have recently slimed down my collection to stuff I shoot and want to shoot on the regular, I found myself not shooting a lot in a year period, when I started collecting I said to self if I don't shoot it or desire to shoot it in a year its gone. My point being I have a lot in 308 that I kept because every range session I grab one of the various guns I have in 308, some of that I am sure is viability of 308, but it is usually pleasant to shoot and can be very accurate. Being in the Military and knowing the ballistic chart by heart for 308 helps a tone as well.
