    There was one statement Malala said that got no applause, but I was floored by it. At 14:56 she says "We cannot all succeed when half of us are held back". That really was a profound truth.

      Here is the thing...and don't get me wrong Malala is a truly incredible human being, but this isn't about her, this comment isn't about her. Its about this: It is easy for anyone, or at least most people to make speeches about human rights, what we have done wrong, and speak out loud to the world about it. That has gotta be one of the easiest things in the world. But the hard part, the one that takes TRUE bravery, is doing something about it. I could go to the UN and give a completely different speech from malala's but focused on human rights, easily. Would I be nervous? Damn right I would. But I would be confident, because I know that hardly anyone in there will disagree with me. I am pointing out facts, not opinions. I am pointing out issues people already know about, issues people have known about and will know about, nothing more. But, you wanna know what takes bravery, even up against the UN? Finding a solution. Its often an issue we have in our society. We have been around for millions of years, yet we make the same mistake when problems arrive. We complain about our issues to others who agree with us, or try to convince others that we are right. But what will this achieve? Nothing, nothing at all. If you have a problem, you solve it. Instead I hear news channels stating the obvious "Oh this is truly a terrorizing subject, a terrible issue that is putting equality at stake". Once again, what does that achieve? You are right that there are inequalities in this world, and hardly anyone, if not no one disputes that argument. But we are achieving nothing. It is as if it is a debate except your argument is with those who are already on your side. Inspirational words are what explain problems, it is action, and action alone which solves them.

      What this girl achieved and survived was amazing, and no one can ever take that away from her, she is strong. And its not her fault but, god damn, some days, it almost makes me wish the days I nearly got shot, I did. Not fatally, but could you imagine? I could go to the UN as well, speak up for MY countries issues, so the world pays attention to the human rights issues going on there. But I can't. It seems as if, its almost impossible, IMPOSSIBLE to even get to speak at the UN or for people to listen to you, unless you were shot. And its sad, its pathetic. Malala is an amazing girl, and at such a young age she is already making contributions most of us don't to the world. However, I can almost guarantee you, that none of this would happen, none of this UN stuff with her, if she hadn't gotten shot in the head. Its sad, disgusting that this is what it takes for people to pay attention. Malala was standing up for women's rights before she got shot, it was only at THAT moment, that people payed attention. "Women need an education" said Malala. "Ok so, what's your fucking point?" the rest of the world said, "We all want women to have an education, big deal kid get over it." Then, boom she get's shot in the head and survives. "OH MY GOD ITS AMAZING THAT YOU HAVE STARTED CARING ABOUT THIS STUFF!" "GETTING SHOT IN THE HEAD INSPIRED YOU TO STAND UP FOR WOMEN'S RIGHTS!" God damnit, its because of that that Malala wasn't even presenting in the UN until she got shot. Literally, its like "OK....you want to get into a good university...you want to speak at the UN about REAL world problems, not just model UN....and you stand up for people's rights...." "Well I'm sorry we cannot allow you to do any of this UNTIL you have been shot, tortured, or at least stabbed....until that happens, you're nothing to us" Makes me sick....

      I of course agree with what you say, but I also want to ask if the religion itself is setup right shouldn't there be less corruption by the people? For me if a religion is making people more likely to adhere to violence or somehow interpret and justify themselves for their violence, I think it should be modified or well progress into something more accommodating.

    The fact that she is 16 only, blows out this incredible speech about the right of every child having knowledge. She is a true inspiration to and most people, if she could accomplish this much at that age, what could everyone else do?

    I think I am privileged to have to study and learn all about what I know, it makes me angry to see that people can not take advantage of this great gift while there are children, who do not know which is the study and are demanding their Free, do not let them express themselves and say they feel and have inside that threaten or kill them, just expressed, I think a great video that leaves an interesting message because Malala tastes and demands facing their quicktime to as instead, she wants peace for all peace even to those who wronged him, no matter what happens she knows what she wants and has clear knows what my goals.

    We sleep, we eat, we go to work, we do everything and anything and when we are tired then we take a brake but our heart cannot take a break because if the heart takes are brake even for a few seconds then that is a heart attack (cardiac arrest) that’s maintenance and care from the creator, no one else can give you that kind of maintenance and care. Only the creator can and the creator does.

    For all those who say Islam teaches extremism and women are not allowed to teach/learn in schools.
    It was Fatima al Fihriyya under the khilafah that built the FIRST UNIVERSITY during 841 CE in Morocco. Science along with other various subjects were thought in the University. According to Guinness World Record, it is "the oldest existing, and continually operating educational institution in the world is the University of Karueein, founded in 859 AD in Fez, Morocco. The University of Bologna, Italy, was founded in 1088 and is the oldest one in Europe." This is called liberation through Islam.

      Talha Hassan Peaceful Islam does not teach extremism and no women's education. Terrorists who use Isam as a vehicle for their violence teach that.

      Malala's father gave a great speech that revealed that patristic societies in the east all deprive women of education. You should be able to google it.

    As an American, I find it a little weird that she says God instead of Allah. She might be trying to not scare off her people since some people reactive negatively to just the word "Allah". But a part of me hopes she isn't some type of setup by the government. Everything shes done is great and I just hope it is all genuine.

      Allah is the Arabic (not just Muslim) word for "God" or "dirty." Since she is speaking in English, she uses the English word God. It's worth noting that Christians who speak Arabic pray to "Allah" as well, that being the name for God in Arabic bibles. Make sense?

      Allah literary means god in Arabic , Arab Christians pray to " Allah " every day its a linguistic term not theologian one .

      @dreamynights 9 лет назад +1

      I know that Allah is basically God but I always had the idea that Muslim people even say "Allah" when they are speaking in English. Kinda to show respect to Allah and to reinforce the belief that "There is no God but Allah"
