1:24 can all musicians who understand how difficult this is appreciate this type of chord use?? that was insane!!! Beautifully played with a wonderful tone as well!
Walter...your chord substitutions are absolutely stunning. I’m a pianist who loves to transcribe your performances. Every time I hear you play I’m just gobsmacked..
This is without a doubt the most beautiful rendition of isn’t she lovely I’ve ever heard. Those chords, the harmonization, not a single missed note and every single one so full of expression. Absolutely unmatched. Phenomenal.
1:25 to 1:35 is like riding on a roller coaster but instead of that "adrenaline rush" its like swimming on a pool of honey... Its makes no sense but it was the best way to describe what i felt....... 😂
That was an excellent way to describe it. He's changing chords a lot but keeping the same note through these changes, so you get this constant smoothness over and throughout the roller coaster 👍🏾👍🏾😀😀
Wow Walter, I love this arrangement. I used to play the Pete Huttlinger arrangement which I learned directly from Pete (one of the nicest men I have ever known) but I haven't played this song in a long time. I love the jazz chord substitutions you use after first using the basic chords and walking bass. Now I have to hope you put out a lesson on this one (which I will happily pay for) but I am still hoping for Autumn Leaves and Blue in Green. Count me in for any video lessons your offer on your site. All my best, John
Of course the really fantastic Stevie Wonder arrangements are from Adam Rafferty. I love his stuff AND I am a charter member of StudywithAdam.com. Have you heard his version? Ha! Love you Adam!
You make more music with that one instrument than anyone I can remember and I've been around awhile Walter! I didn't think you would be able to pull it off, but I was so wrong. It's a beautiful thing!
Love this man! Besides being very technically awesome... I really felt the passion. You've earned yourself a subscriber. Hope to be as good as you someday.
I've been listening to this arrangement for the past few years ever since I found it and it still is the best version I've heard of the song. Thank you for this🙏🏻❤️
Walter sos un genio! Fantastico los acordes que haces y la interpretacion ! Es un placer escucharte y verte tocar con tanto profesinalismo!te mando un abrazo , me llamo Cesar Acuña integrante del grupo musical Los Acuña , de Argentina .
You are awesome! You have an elegant style that gives a high class to youre interpretations. So clear and warm! Congratulations! You are a Master, no doubt!
He's just tapping 12 frets up from the note directly on the fret :) It's not too difficult a technique, more so without gain at all admittedly, but very cool indeed!
Isn't she lovely Isn't she wonderful Isn't she precious Less than one minute old I never thought through love we'd be Making one as lovely as she But isn't she lovely made from love Isn't she pretty Truly the angel's best Boy, I'm so happy We have been heaven blessed I can't believe what God has done Through us he's given life to one But isn't she lovely made from love Isn't she lovely Life and love are the same Life is Aisha The meaning of her name Londie, it could have not been done Without you who conceived the one That's so very lovely made from love
Wow! You're so flawlessly skilled, I hate you for that! Ha ha ha. (Kidding) I greatly envy your commitment to your art. Thank you for sharing this. I'm off to beat myself up practicing now. ;)
I have many friends that are jazz musicians, yet I've never considered myself a huge fan. This! This is awesome. I love every video I've seen. Magnificent interpretation.
Love it Walter. You are influencing me in the best possible way.
Hey Adam! Thanks so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed it :-)

1:24 can all musicians who understand how difficult this is appreciate this type of chord use?? that was insane!!! Beautifully played with a wonderful tone as well!
I think it's the most beautiful and clear example of amazing voice leading and why it's so important
If you like this version...CHECK OUT THE KENT NISHIMURA VERSION!!! You're welcome!!! SIR DUKE FOR THE WIN!!! 💣💥💯
Omg I forgot to breathe here
I believe that it is one of the hardest parts of these compositions!
He has a genetically modified 5th digit😅😅
Walter...your chord substitutions are absolutely stunning. I’m a pianist who loves to transcribe your performances. Every time I hear you play I’m just gobsmacked..
Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Strangely enough I’ve watched this at least once a month for like 8 months and it’s always recommended to me again and again.. Keep it up RUclips
I love your expressions while you play, gives a whole new element to the composition

I love how he just enjoys playing it
- How many chords can you play?
- Yes
Kind of questions Phoebe would ask 😂
Every single chord he used looked unrecognizable and difficult lol
😂😂😂I thought I was alone. But it is very possible to play like Him.. He is a great influence
They r a lot of inversions and just weird shapes u can def play them they just hard to visualize
Sir it is people like you that keep me playing guitar on the daily. Much love.
i love how you feel the music instead of just performing
much appreciated
You're the only guy who doesn't use sliding too much that I love. Keep it up, brother!
This is without a doubt the most beautiful rendition of isn’t she lovely I’ve ever heard. Those chords, the harmonization, not a single missed note and every single one so full of expression. Absolutely unmatched. Phenomenal.
Very elegant codework and baseline. Solo work that does not disrupt the rhythm. It's wonderful.
1:25 to 1:35 is like riding on a roller coaster but instead of that "adrenaline rush" its like swimming on a pool of honey... Its makes no sense but it was the best way to describe what i felt....... 😂
Heck yeah, that's exactly it.
How are called those chords?
That was an excellent way to describe it. He's changing chords a lot but keeping the same note through these changes, so you get this constant smoothness over and throughout the roller coaster 👍🏾👍🏾😀😀
Ok
Reharm with descending bass notes while retaining lead. Like Jacob Collier said, you can play bass note as long as you keep that melody to justify.
Just love this style of playing, just class in my book. Both you and Adam are influencing me, so much playing so little time, its a life times work.
Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. Pure, precise, tasteful. Gorgeous. Wow.
I love your arrangements! Just when you think it can't possibly get any more complicated and beautiful, it does! And then it happens AGAIN!!
Isn’t that just Lovely. Capturing the musical language and message of that song. Brilliant!
the world best isn't she lovely guitar cover...seriously
Adam Rafferty's is nicer for me!
송영우 sungha jung

Even a years i didn't watch your vids still; still your music hasn't change. How lovely.
I’ve had this song saved on my playlist for 3 years now. It never gets old
smooth as butter, wow
Buenisimas esas cuartas paralelas al final del tema. realmente es un lujo escuchar tus arreglos.
Gracias por compartirlos.
My favorite thing about his performance is chord work. He is especially good at playing with chords that match the melody.
Very nicely done. Enjoyed it a lot
I love it when RUclips keeps recommending me this video, I watch it every time.
I have a problem...
I don't know how many times I have seen this video over and over.
¡Fantastic!
same me too!!!..
Yeah

Amazing how you grab those chords so fast and accurate.....well done !!!
Love that nylon string sound!!! Excellent good with the major substitutions after the key change!!!! Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!
Before you can play with joy, it takes years of hardship in learning and practice. Truly appreciated, Walter!!
This was a treat to hear you play! Thank you for posting this great video!
You make more music with that one instrument than anyone I can remember and I've been around awhile Walter! I didn't think you would be able to pull it off, but I was so wrong. It's a beautiful thing!
You know he really into it by the look of his expression. Good job sir!
I've listened to this somewhere close to 18 times in the past 2 days. So relaxing.
The transition chord before the minor key change was lovely, and executed perfectly.
I feel like this guy never makes a mistake anymore even while practicing lol. 😂
Just happy accidents
My piano teacher taught me well enough - go so slow you never hit a wrong note. Practice makes permanent, so get it right every time.
Love this man! Besides being very technically awesome... I really felt the passion. You've earned yourself a subscriber. Hope to be as good as you someday.
Johnny Hall Thank you, Johnny!
A suavidade, e o baixo andante desse violão. ..nas mãos de um excepcional musicista.
The 3:2 polyrhythm when you where just grooving was such a pleasure to listen too. Such a good arrangement
I've been listening to this arrangement for the past few years ever since I found it and it still is the best version I've heard of the song. Thank you for this🙏🏻❤️
Cara, você é muito virtuoso, Deus abençoe cada dia esse talento impressionante.

Just imagine all the fantastical melodies just in his head, waiting to burst out of his fingers.. just amazing!
Alan Harper is that you
hahah. right on. right on.
I’m dead
He could have joined in on the jingles!
how is that harmonic at 1:08 possible? it blew my mind, to be honest.
He's just tapping 12 frets up from the note directly on the fret :) It's not too difficult a technique, more so without gain at all admittedly, but very cool indeed!
@Alex Wilson: Pickups.
Practice and you'll see it's not that hard :) It's all about spending the right amount of time and reflexion
Was about to say what Alex said.. rip.. 😂

Hey Walter! What guitar is that you're using? It's beautiful!
A bit late, but it looks to be a Godin Multiac.
will you ever do tutorials/lessons on how to make arrangements?
I was jamming on bass when I saw this video and so I played along with it and found it to be quite the challenge. great video!
Fabulous!!! Really enjoy listening to your renditions.
