Hey Sheath, I like the idea and I would totally support it but one little detail I wanted to make note of (Being the degenerate I am that has nothing better to do.) The details with the Portal storm at the end are correct but the strider sound at the end had me a little miffed as the portal storms took place for weeks and with in around the fifth to sixth week after the events at BM that's when the combine invaded. Shit detail on my part for just pointing it out but other than that I was very amused by the entire thing and would absolutely love to see more. Again sorry for me being the ass-hat to point out pointless shit.
You are correct, don’t you worry! Yes the Combine Invasion didn’t happen for a little bit, I took that into account. But is it maybe just possible....a few scouts made it through to recon points to attack on Earth, before the Portal Storms hit the right frequency to open the gate? After all, with so much Xen Wildlife running around, it’s perfect to blend in 😉
Honestly, this is so good and far less animation-intensive that I’d be very interested in seeing this continue regularly. Even if it means slowing Reinstated down more.
I hope Jazz Meadows is okay, Last we saw him he was fleeing the black mesa compound with a C.I.A Assassin. One little lore issue though, The Seven Hour War did NOT start right after the Black Mesa Incident it took several years of portal storms before the combine decided to attack Earth, Besides that this is a GREAT fan drama and I hope you make more.
I'm making this face at your comment. The explanation here is that the Strider you hear is part of “scouting” party ahead of the 7 Hour War Invasion. Only a handful came through to blend in with the Xen Alien crisis crowd at the time.
