I think the 5kg plates are smaller so they don't get damaged from dropping.
I agree, 5kg plates are normally the first to go bad from being dropped.
nope
"$900 bucks now for a full set, I know that's expensive" he said in 2018, while we laugh in 2021.
Who knew?
900 still steep if iron is an option.
If not yeah sweet deal with shipping
342 a set of rogue barbell standard 45-35-25-10
506 for rogue 6 shooters 45-35-25-10
588 for rogue calibrated 20-15-10-5(kg)
617 rogue calibrated steel 45-35-25-10
851 rogue urathane 6 shooters 45-35-25-10
Is it more expensive now?
@@ricardomartinez-kg1qp The prices are going down somewhat now. When covid was initially in full swing the prices some companies charged were completely outrageous. Rogue was one of the better companies, they didn't price gouge, but it was first come, first serve as they got them in.
As soon as I saw these available, my first thought was, “I hope Coop does a review on them.” Thanks for the review. I hope to see more details on your site soon.
You COULD have parked closer
Eric Cartman Fitness haha
Lol lol
xD
LMAO
Or he was showing off how strong he is.
Sorinex had recently made urethane bumper plates in the US of A, they're called "Bosco." However, their website now states that they're made in North America. The price is ridiculous, but if you want something other than made in china this is the next best thing. I'm going to pick up some of those titan urethane bumpers, they look great and are cheaper than the competition.
I told my mom I wanted an Olympic barbell and some Olympic plates...... she got me the golds gym cement weight set from Walmart.
Peter D.W. Nah. I told her I just wanted to curl with them. She said what’s wrong with you.
curl with an olympic barbell lmao wtf
Wait, walmart still sells cement weight?
@@jimmyp9105 You arent supposed to drop them, so if you want to save money. I cant remember having ever dropped a barbell or dumbell.
Got an update on the situation dog? I'm going through the same thing.
Coop, thanks for the great reviews! You've become my 'go to' source of information for garage gym purchases.
Always an honest review full of useful information. Thanks again Coop!
Big fan of your channel. Just wondering if you can do a video on how clean and maintain bumper plates?
I'd be interested in seeing them accurately weighed in comparison.
Coop! How are the Titan urethane plates surviving? Thinking about picking some up.
You are correct Coop , these are the best bang for buck . I do everything with these include eating all my meals off them .
how long have you had the Titan urethane plates? Do you still
like them?
@@gmoneycash7456
7 months of fun , still like tight on the bar though
The funniest part of this video is when you called that Honda Ridgeline a truck. Pure comedy!😂
Not saying the Titan & Rogue bumper plates are different, but QC could be stricter with the Rogue. Rogue may be paying more for better QC (closer tolerances, calibration, etc.).
Did you weight them?
After receiving an RML-490 that looks like it was painted behind someone's trailer while propped up on some used tires, I don't have much faith that Rogue has any QC anymore.
@@xtrastrengthfukitol7733 Rogue, aka "Rogue -- Made in USA" even today is still manufactured big part in China. It's a Google search away. I'm also manufacturing overseas... Google manufacturing companies for Rogue. Here's some names of the ROGUE, Titan, American Barbell manufacturing companies; Wulian Qiangjian Sports and Fitness (Shandong, CHINA), Qingdao ALS Industry (QINGDAO, CHINA), Deluxe Xiamen sports Equipment (HUANDONG HAIYU ZONE TONGAN XIAMEN, CHINA)... etc.
I was a fan of Titan for a while but that ship sank when I bought a brand new X2 rack and they sent me last, what appeared to be, a used rack. The thing had chunks missing out of the uprights and spray paint on a few areas. I'm currently in the process of returning it. You get what you pay for, amIright?
Thats a shame you had that experience. I just got the x2... And man... Do I love it.
I was able to get a pair of 10kg plates and a pair of 10lb plates from someone on FB marketplace. These are really nice plates The weight is accurate. The colors are rich and vibrant. I am looking to pick up about 500 more pounds of them. I wrote to Titan the other day. They seem to be hopeful for a shipment of 10Kg around August but there is no official word.
Beware of the links - this video has you getting 150kg of weight plates at the same price that you can get over 200kg on amazon. The link makes it clear that it's an affiliate link (so the video poster gets a share of the amount you just overspent.) Check around first - sly marketing at a higher price to you on youtube from "friendly" video posters isn't friendly at all.
David W of course he would put an affiliate link? Why wouldn’t he... these are a pretty good deal even at that price.
I just checked and they are a lot more expensive on Amazon.
I just bought a 250 pound set of Urethane coated Plates for $300 CAD and they are incredible. Unbranded from overseas. They're beautiful and my favorite plates. I own a lot of plates.. Anyone paying over $500 is being taken for a ride. All the big name brands are overpriced and not worth it. They're plate weights and urethane does NOT cost that much regardless of what any "youtuber" says in their videos. If you want to spend more, be my guest. My weights weigh the same as yours and probably look twice as nice for half the cost.
Coop, can you please do a detailed video on the differences between kilogram and pound plates, describing the weight discrepancies, lifting advantages, and types of material each has? Nobody has come out with a video pertaining to this topic and I know you would do an excellent job covering it. I'm very interested in the breakdown because I've seen some people independently discuss bar real-estate, whip, bounce, etc but never together regarding the bar and plates.
Literally only differences is the total weight of product. A 20kg plate is only 44lbs roughly. They can be made of same material. Obviously the 45lb plate is going to have just a tad more material to gain extra 1lb. Its all personal preference usually depending on a person’s specific sport. American Powerlifters often prefer lbs bc thats what we use, but many olympic weightlifters use kilos because thats the global norm. I will say the one advantage to the kilo plates is they often go up to 25kg, which is roughly 55lbs. So you can put more weight on with less plates
the plates are the same but use a different unit of measurement. I am assuming you were requesting that as a joke
American Barbell used to have the same hub type. They might have changed it to standout after other companies started to sell it. And while the same company can be manufacturing these, the quality control may differ a lot.
4:10 think you meant the urethane plates are thinner than rubber. How is their weight accuracy?
Trying find some now. Everywhere is sold out! 😩
have you found any? plates or dumbbells? People are up charging like crazy.. Its ridiculous actually
i bought rogue training bumpers set online last weekend, the 45s came in last night. they update their stock every day so just keep checking their site
Proko8 Gaming what app or website
@@hebebehuuehehr8383 rogues, my bad forgot to put it
@@proko8gaming671 i emailed them and they have no 45s in stock in the grip plates and Cast iron plates..
I walked into a Walmart and saw a set of bumper plates in a basket (8 x 45, 8 x 25, 4 x 15, 8 x 10) that had been returned from another Walmart. I called for the manager to ask for the price since no one knew what they were. He didn't know what they were either and asked me how much I would pay for them. I said $100 for the set. He said I'll give you a break on them and sold them to me for $80.00. Who says you can't find a deal at Walmart? They are awesome to use.
why don't you show us how they drop vs hi temps
HEY BOSS, double check your frame rate + shutter speed (i.e. frame rate 60 = shutter speed 120), and ISO to get rid of those black lines in your content. Cheers.
Thank you! I have it fixed now. Appreciate the actual help, forreal.
Does your truck come in mens?
🤪
I think you come in men enough for all of us...... (Please reference "Letter Kenny - Produce Stand" before you attack me...... ;-)
Thanks for the review!
Titan also has an all black bumper set as well. The hubs look like the american barbells style though. $200-$300 cheaper than the colored set.
Hi Coop, would you mind weighing the Titans. to see if they are accurate. thanks
Coop ! Where can I buy these right now with the (shh covid) thing happening? Do you have any for sale or advice? Looking for a large set!! Thx!!!!
😳 Is it just me thinking, “Why couldn’t he just park right at the doors?”
Ans: He did it to get comment engagement ✊🏾
because GAINS bro
What about Eleiko?
Great video. Please review Home Grown Bumper Plates out of Kentucky. Made in USA and the cheapest I found. Wondering what you would think.
Those look sweeeeet! Need to play some lottery so I can buy a bunch.
poor people gamble, rich people invest.

If you unclip the wires on the XPO, the circuit is open and there’s no more resistance when pushed.
Ooh, good to know!
What's the best kinda weights to get for a first time home gym? Only plan to buy it once. Already got the rogue monster rack in cart. Just weights.
FYI, American Barbell = Hammer Strength.
Are American Barbell's urethane plates worth the premium over Rogue or Titan?
Hi coop, thanks for the great video!
I'm from Australia, and I've got a set of the American barbell pu plates.... Strangely, they are the same style as the rogue and titan ones. They have the exact same center hub as the rogue.
Where did you buy them from?
Do you mean Australian Barbell ? They're also the same.
Rogue, aka "Rogue -- Made in USA" even today is still manufactured big part in China. It's a Google search away. I'm also manufacturing overseas... Google manufacturing companies for Rogue. Here's some names of the ROGUE, Titan, American Barbell manufacturing companies; Wulian Qiangjian Sports and Fitness (Shandong, CHINA), Qingdao ALS Industry (QINGDAO, CHINA), Deluxe Xiamen sports Equipment (HUANDONG HAIYU ZONE TONGAN XIAMEN, CHINA)... etc.
First generation AB urethane bumpers had the groove in the collar then went to a flat ummachined collar.
Might have missed you mentioning it, but how tight are they in the sleeve? Hoping a good tolerance without much play
It would be great to see a drop test between these uerethane and the regular rubber color plates. Is the rattle sound on the hip contact point (snatch or CJ) the same between the two? I just love how the regular color plates sound when you do a good snatch. Wonder of the uerethane sound the same.
Gonna sell my Rogue HG 2.0s and get a bunch of these. Thanks for all the great reviews dude!
do you have a drop test on urethane plates compared to training competition plates?
i want to order a set from Titan, but I want your opinion. i hear urethane doesn't bounce as much and all the stress damaged barbell bearings and sleeves.
where are the storage racks in the background from? looking for good storage options for KBs and DBs for my gym. Thanks ahead of time for any help!
Just ordered the 10Lb pair can’t wait to test them out!!
How were they ?
Coop - What about Luxiaojun Urethane Bumper Plate - they look the same as AB and Vulcan - different prices, but are they the same plate? Could you or did you review Vulcan and Luxiaojun Urethanes?
Setting up a home gym...struggling with if I should go with steel plates or some type of bumper plates. Been looking at Titan as an economical option, but I only want to make this type of purchase once. Recommendations?
Bumper for oly lifts, you'll get away with steel for powerlifting. Or a mix, bumper for 10-25kg, steel for all the smaller ones
Have you weighed them to check for weight accuracy?
Coop, have you reviewed the LUXIAOJUN Urethane Bumper Plates?
Coop trains in this video! (sled push)
"Does Coop Even Lift" video coming soon
Garage Gym Reviews it’s what we’re all kinda wondering...
You must not follow on Instagram
Garage Gym Reviews no, not on the gram...my 11yo is but not me
The sled isn't rated to hold that much weight, what about that poor little baby truck :) Nice review
Update on plates? You still a big fan of them? How have they held up so far??
James Fuller Who cares this guy is a racist
@@tseawell90 ha ha ha, love these false victims. 2016 really created a ton of you shit birds.
Dude I knew you was going drop all those bumper plates Lmaooooo 😂😂😂👍🏼👍🏼🥳🥳🥳
@garagegymreviews how many of those ureathane 45lbers can you fit on your standard olympic bar?
Did you do any comparisons on weight variance, bounce or noise
I’ve purchased a few of these and believe that the inner collars are actually scratching whatever they are being loaded onto, such as my barbel and other gym equipment pegs. Anyone else?
Can you color in the letters with white marker? The surface of the letters looks very smooth.
What is the watch you are wearing?
Will these fade or crack? I have a setup outside in my backyard
What was so wrong with the packaging? Seems perfectly adequate. After being rained on, it still took you a while to get the plate out.
Set of 55 lbs ROGUE URETHANE PLATES cost $405 American Barbell $544 Titan $366. I guess for $39 more I will pay for a better looking bumper.
I wish I would have known they were coming out with urethane ones. I recently just bought their elite rubber bumpers.
Was hoping you'd weigh them to see how close they were.
Hopefully you can do a review on the 150 slam ball from titan fitness
Those are the cheapest urethane bumpers? They look like Eleiko's next to my Urethane bumpers. Mine were cheap and have the 6 hex bolts that lock two sleeves together on the inside. Mine are definitely rougher and cheaper looking than these... They also took like 3 years for the rubbery smell to dissipate. The good news is their weight is pretty much bang on
Why wouldn't you back the truck up to the door and unload onto the cart avoiding the step......
Love the sticker on the back of your truck.
Nice Coop!
Is that a ridgeline? Now all of your reviews I've watched are irrelevant.
Steve Johnston Whats a ridgeline?
its his truck
It's not a truck. It is a SUV Honda forgot to finish building.
...rotflmao
🤣😂🤣
Wish you could get Titan products in the UK.
He calls titan, rogue at the end. Waiting for these to come back in stock
Right on. Right on.
a review on a gym clock would be cool
No air inflated plates were hurt in the making of this video.
0:26 the front tire is a flat as my expectations for these Titan bumper plates.
It seems like the KG version offers lighter shades than the LB version. They look more pastel-ish
rained on should make for easier opening.
What about REP Bumpers?!
Ya'll should lay off Coop's truck, that Ridgeline isn't exactly a Cummins inline 6 but it probably does just fine for what he needs.
Lol at first I thought the shirt was a naseem talib reference
Nassim actually trains pretty hard
You going to review anything from bolt fitness??
I haven't used any of their equipment. May have to look into it.
Garage Gym Reviews sweet thanks
How many reds fit on a opb?
Have you ever ordered anything from Wright Equipment? I was all excited about to place a $1,000+ order and it shows shipping is "free" then you go to check out and it wants $300 for shipping!
GRRRRRRRR
Hey man so I did a little investigating and those bumpers are actually made from China and they sell to different companies if u need the info to the manufacturer lmk
Hi, can you tell me company name of the manufacturer from china
Titan URETHANE BUMPER PLATES pair 25 KG $262 20 KG $218. Unbelievable!
Sled will be okay, I don't think the Ridgeline is made to hold that much weight
Urethane is thinner than rubber ones by up to 40mm lol what ate you talking about. These are thinnest things u can buy after steel ones. I have seen only steel covered in rubber are thinner but those not for dropping from overhead either.
Very impressive- high quality
American Barbell makes (rebrands) the Umax and Hammer Strength plates. They are all
from China
Buddy, do some research... so is most Rogue, aka "Rogue -- Made in USA" even today. It's a Google search away. How I know? I'm also manufacturing overseas. Google manufacturing companies for Rogue. Here's some names of the ROGUE, Titan, American Barbell manufacturing companies; Wulian Qiangjian Sports and Fitness (Shandong, CHINA), Qingdao ALS Industry (QINGDAO, CHINA), Deluxe Xiamen sports Equipment (HUANDONG HAIYU ZONE TONGAN XIAMEN, CHINA)... etc...
could you use those plates for everything or are they too thick?
You can. Most people won't ever lift enough to max out a barbell with them.
Why do you think the KG set is cheaper than the LB’s??? 🤔
Also, the KG is slightly lighter than the pound equivalent (except the red), so less material
William Moran that’s a better answer than Americans are dumb and makes sense too. Thanks for the reply. 👊🏼
What happened to the TSP videos?
Love the anti-fragile T-Shirt! great book.
These are not the same as hammer strength which are the same as American barbell (same company) but not the same as rogue which these are also the same as.
Those tires need some air, Coop!
Whats the difference between urethane and hitemp bumpers?
HiTemps use recycled tire rubber. Urethane plates use urethane. Completely different material.
Hitemps bounce....a lot
Truck is a very strong word...
The only thing about this video that is false is that you called that thing a truck. Other then that great video.
Guys could anyone help me please! does it matter when wanna resell urethane plates or steel plates if they are in kg or lbs? or is each specific for each? like does urethane use only kg and steel for lbs? or vice versa? Thanks so much to whoever can answer!
This depends on where you live. Pounds will sell faster in the USA kg might sell faster in kg
The packaging on those plates looks awful. Were they rained on?
What’s the name of that sled?
