Especially on the products that you don’t recommend.because you purchased them and didn’t work out
I have the plain black version of these and can confirm that they're awesome. I find myself choosing them over my Rogue HG bumpers every time, mostly because of the lip being easier to grab with one hand. I prefer to spend my "pretty plates money" on Rogue Deep Dish plates though, because let's be honest, they're the sexiest plates on the market right now!
Rogue deep dish do look nice , but so do the StrengthCo plates. Now that I have owned both, I Prefer the thinner classic StrengthCo plate with the same shiny ecoat finish. Most folks think Rogue was the first to make these ecoated plates but that goes to Grant at the StrengthCo. His go from 100, 45, 25, 10, 5, 2.5, 1.25. When rogue came out they also had no change plates for like a year.
@@carps_gym Yeah I have both as well. If I were to only have one kind of plates in my gym it would be Strength Co, just for the capacity on the bar, but I do find myself preferring to handle the deep dish best. As far as looks, I prefer the machined smooth finish on Rogue's over the rough texture on TSC, but it's all personal anyway.
A lot of personal choice there and for everyone that tells me you can fit more plates on the bar I wonder what percentage of people that would ever matter to. One of my buddies pulls over 600lbs with deep dish regularly. I've yet to see another person irl do that but on the internet it's common 😂
@@GlucksGym Depends on the bar. I have the BOS open trap bar and it has crazy short sleeves, so the deep dish or bumpers limits it to like 315#. For a standard bar with around 16" sleeves you're definitely right though.
I know it’s not recommended but I mostly use my bumpers to mix match them with my iron plates while deadlifting. So I use the thinnest bumpers possible that’s why I like the rogue echo. (2.4in wide for 45). If I did Olympic lifts I probably would use bumpers more though.
I opted for Vulcan's black bumpers because, 1. no one comes to my gym except my wife, and B. she comments more on how much they cots versus how pretty they are. But I did want those colored alphas.
I am looking forward to watching this... I was on the fence about ordering these the inconsistent outer diameter of rogue's fleck bumpers is just disappointing and some denominations had transparent lettering on my batch... Was heart breaking for me customer service was mixed regarding if it was an issue
Fringe had a lightning deal on these sets for 20% off several weeks ago, for which I shall long be kicking myself for passing them up. Ok, yes, I had already purchased my own Christmas present, and had a self imposed restriction on any more purchases the rest of the year, but ... I should have rationalized a way.
@@GlucksGym I'm still punishing myself for that pivoting trash bar. A few more months of dust gathering, hopefully my wrists will heal, I'll find a sucker to buy it, then more treasures can be mine.
I agree that these are the best plates out there. I have Rogue HG, Rogue Echo Color, Rep Color Plates and got a set of these. I own a gym so I try things out, I also grabbed 2 pairs of Rogue Fleck 10s, Titan Urethane 10s as I only use 10s, 25s, 45s. Fringe 10s are the most durable and best quality by far. Titan Urethane are ok, but expensive, smaller and loud. All Rogue bumpers with inserts will get loose and their tens suck across the board.
