Thank you for your support!
Thanks for the shout out, made my day. Really appreciate what you’re doing and I like to pay for valuable information that has really helped me with my van build. Hope you stay with this and enjoy.
Came for the lightweight cabinets, sayed for the general tips and tricks without the all the bs. Good work, thanks for sharing!
Same here. Came for the lightweight cabinets. Stayed for everything else. 🙂
Thanks for reminding me why after 20 years running a woodworking business selling my work online I still haven't bothered to make RUclips videos about what I do. The hourly rate is pathetic and all your time is put in to make Google rich. Like they need more money! Maybe one day I will but for now I'm just too busy woodworking.
Man, you're a treasure. Keep on going. I've just subscribed because od that entry. I came for a camper advises for my project and I'm going to stay. You are truly genuent and that sold me in.
People with passion for the craft, men like you, is what keeps me on RUclips. Big thumbs up 🙏
I wrote you a longer note on your web site, But I wanted to comment on how much I really appreciate your channel and content. My build is a 2002 Freightliner FS65 38 foot bus, but a lot of what you have to say about mobile building is very helpful and relevant, and I think you have a perspective that often gets lost in the typical "how to build" type videos of other content creators. Good fishing spots make ALL THE DIFFERENCE! Thank you for your channel!
Thanks for this video, it gives a great insight into what’s involved in putting your videos together and what you’re getting out of it financially.
I wouldn’t discount providing affiliates links - just maintain a list of tools and products you actually use. Whether it’s drills or hinges or door handles. And post them on every video as it’s low effort for revue you receive. I notice there’s nothing listed on this video…
A little different from FDR's fireside chats but I liked it
This channel is def underrated, you have solid quality, extremely useful tips and passion for the craft. I'm not a woodworker myself but your video on the cabinets got me quite interest in the field. Might give it a try when converting my first van. Good work mate I really appreciate what you do for the DIY community and beyond :D
I appreciate the detail you go into including explaining the reasoning behind your projects, you're clearly an experienced builder first and good at communicating your ideas on video.
Three suggestions: #1. Walk your viewers through the process of buying a custom van - how do you prioritize what the customer wants? How long does it take? How much (or how little) involvement do you require from the buyer? #2. Devote a set amount of time to comments and do not exceed it, no matter how strongly you want to make your point. Or, just shut the comments off after a day or so. #3. If the lightweight cabinet topic is what brings 'em in (it brought me in) keep working it.
Definitely do NOT shut off comments as it doesn’t allow the community to interact with each other. Choosing not to reply, or turning off notifications is completely different.
Dave Whipple over on his Bush Radical channel posted a ramble that included a great description of his video process; briefly it’s “shoot a million angles, crush down the edit, wing the voice-over”, check it out. Anyway, I’ve been enjoying your videos, thanks!
Your woodworking is quite a bit beyond my skill level, but I love finding out how people who know what they're doing approach this stuff. Great channel. great info. Thanks!
A friend just suggested your channel! Love the approach and for this video I have to ask..... Is that a Zion National Park beer glass? I have one, and its my favorite glass, just had to know! Thanks for putting the time in to make content!
Agreed about capturing moments, it makes them seem superficial or that you’re doing them for RUclips when they’re recorded.
Love your attitude and your channel. Hope you find the success you seek but also hope that that measure can also just be growing, meeting new people and having the satisfaction that you added some valuable knowledge to these interwebs of ours
I actually love your videos and your woodworking style. I'm using your techniques in my Truck build, so "Thank You". I hope you've created some van build business from your RUclips, but I wonder if you'd be better off, spending your time with your craft (woodworking & van builds) rather than trying to make money through RUclips. Please continue to show us your techniques though. Basically at the end of the day, continue doing what gives you pleasure.
Appreciate the honesty man, I completely understand the struggle. As an aspirational filmmaker I often think about diving into the world of RUclips but I wonder if it’ll be worth the time & effort required to produce quality content. I guess it comes down to enjoying the process rather than the outcome 🤔
Cheers from Australia!
All interesting as always , but maybe increase audio i needed to increase volume control . Add an audio compression?
I really want to commission you to build some cabinets for Taj-Ma-Haul!
But it’s bc you don’t have a lot of subscribers & you’re fairly niche
But if I was converting a van I would def look for you
Your cabinet skills are Awesome & you seem really clever & practical
It’s good advertisement here for your services
