  • This Davinci Resolve Tutorial (using 16) is a way to share a project with somebody else such as your colourist so that you can pass the project to them easily. I ran into a bug when doing this, so hopefully, this saves you time and money(so you don't have to pay a post house an exorbitant amount of money for something that's relatively easy.

    Also, after your other editors have the exported file, when they finish their edit, they can send you back a TIMELINE export. This is best because you can just drag it into you project and don't have to rename projects, only time lines.

    @DerekTing thank you so much for this helpful video, I was doing this previously but as a way to save the projects just incase I needed to go back at a later point in time to make an adjustment or simply grab some edited footage, but I wasn't confident that I was doing this correctly, now I know I am. Also, great job in showing how to reconnect the media. Thanks again!

    So sorry to anyone about the humming! My apartment window is by a pool filter and the refrigerator is loud too. But hopefully I can figure this all out in future videos. :)

    I do feel like there is a more real-time interactive way like what premiere and avid can now do. But this is exactly what I was needing to send off templates to crew

    I've followed all the steps. Everytime I try to import the protect file (.drp), a screen pops up that says "unable to import project. failed to creat temporary folder". Does anyone know why this could be?

    Thanks for the tip, but doesn't sending across google docs or gmail compress the files and loses quality?

    • @dkting
      @dkting  3 года назад

      It's a project file, which means it's a road map which links to your source, and therefore the answer is no. Further, the file is not compressed unless you compress it. But feel free to use any method other than mine to share projects.

      @@dkting does that mean that you also have to provide your colleague with the actual footage used in this project? do you think this export is also a good way to save projects as back-up?

      Yes the HVAC is annoying! Sorry, I'm situated in this apartment building right by the pool outside, and my refridgerator doesn't want to shut up. I deHummed and Noise reduced it, but alas, it is what it is, where I am. :P

    You might not like this comment but it's the feedback you need to hear. So much time wasted in this video. If you want to grow your channel, get to the point faster. You could have started the video at 5:11 and ended at 5:34. Instead I had to mine through 5 minutes of fluff
