Hi Sorastro, I am on mobile and did a quick search but couldn't find a guide or explanation on why you switch between brands (Vallejo, Citadel, scale color). What brands do you feel do better with certain colors or techniques? I am starting out and building a customer paint set. Most basic sets out there have just a few colors I really like or need, so I am going the buy-as-needed route (more expensive, I know)
Hi! I enjoy trying different paint ranges out to explore their various properties, colours etc. The question of which brands do better with certain techniques etc is quite a big one though! I'd suggest just trying a few colours from various ranges and get a feel for which paints fit with your own style of painting tbh.. :)
New viewer here. I found your channel through a reddit post about the Bob Ross of miniature painting :) Your painting quality is incredible and the high resolution of your videos allow me to zoom in and see how you apply each brush stroke, which is extremely useful. One small complain I have, is that the thumbnails for the videos make it quite hard to see at a glance what miniature the video is about. I think it would help if the mini was at the center of the thumbnail and was popping through the background.
I always find it amazing how efficiently you make colours look so neat and effective. Particularly on flesh tones. And eyes (my bug bear!) What was the dry time on the black oil wash? On quite another subject, the start sounded a little bit like you said "from Earth's Mightiest Corset"! Gotta love it when companies don't quite think out their product titles 🤣
Thanks a lot, Chris! Gold NMM is an interesting challenge for sure, but for small areas like this, it's not so bad (and I kind of got lazy by using a "recipe" that I'm quite familiar/comfortable with) 😁
A beautiful piece as always. I still have to paint Black Widow from the original core set and I think the white suite concept would be perfect, thank you for the inspiration.

Hey nice video, was just curious how do you thin down your scale artist tube paints? With only water? Or add flow improvers to it. Thanks
Thanks a lot! Yeh, I like to add a little Flow Enhancer to the water that I thin with, although it's certainly not essential 😀

Thank you, kindly! And noted - let's see if the next thumbnail makes the mini a bit clearer to see... 😀
Ahhh, Thank you for this dear Maestro Sorastro, Christmas comes early then.
Ha, thank you, my friend! 😁
You mentioned you printed off the newspapers for the basing. Is that on a file you could share?
Sure! Here you go: sorastro.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Newpapers-etc.jpg (there's also some slightly larger, poster-sized images on there, too) 😀
@@Sorastro Thanks, my friend! These are great details to add to basing!
You're very welcome! I've also now added the link to the video description for others to access 😀
Very nice! I want to get into Marvel but so much backlog !! Did you have a Shadow Collective video that is just not posted yet? Cheers
Thank you! I don't have any Legion videos ready at the moment, but do have 2 Shatterpoint videos coming (for Maul, and the Mando Supercommandos) 🙂
Amazing vídeo!!! More MCP please🙏🏻
Thank you very much! There will be more... 😀
What is the brush you're using here? I need one long and thin as well.
Hi there! That's a Rosemary and Co Series 33 (there should be a link in the description) 😀
Insta-like, then regret that I can't like again after watching :)
Ha ha, thanks so much 😁
You are awesome! I love your PDF to paint the first Black Widow, I'm trying to do my version following your guide 🎉
Thank you very much! I hope you have fun with your Black Widow 😀

Lol, thanks buddy! The oil wash dried quickly actually, I think because of how thinned it was, and I also blasted it with the hairdryer.. 😁
Making NMM look so easy, as usual! I do a decent job with bronze, steel, and copper NMM, but gold is totally evading me as of now.

Allways a joy to watch, i especially like the red haircolour you made ✅️✅️🔥😁 and just realiced your next video will be #200 🎂
Thank you very much, Henrik! 😀
