its hard to imagine how much work was put into these analogue movies. fantastic
Many of the effects did not look that good even back then. But many of the designs are still pretty incredible today.

Effects varied in Dune, but many were fabulous. An extraordinary production. The Lucas museum should have these models. Those space ships are way cooler than Star Wars.
I so loved the original dune. Want to see it back on the big screen.

Very disappointed in the design of the ornithopter and Sardaukar. And that they represented the eyes of the Ibad as a bluish glow. Also that the director couldn't be bothered to include the contributions of Jessica's Bene Geserrit training and turned her into a stereotypical screaming female.
So much effort and money went into this...and it still sucked
