This is exciting! My hair is a nightmare, it’s blonde and baby fine in texture, so if we have any humidity, guess who’s sporting an Afro?!? Well water leaves minerals behind too, so I really need a shampoo that’s gentle and not full of junk. Thank you so much!❤️🇺🇸
Vinegar hair rinses are a very good option to always washing. They don't strip your hair of the oils it needs and you can add essential oils to benefit your hair such as Rosemary for hair growth. Mountain Rose Herbs website has some good recipes.
I too, have very baby fine hair and well water. I'm also getting older (67) and my hair is thinning, so, I'll be excited to try these all natural ingredient hair products! 😊
Small batch recipe... 1/4 cup water, boiled and cooled 1 TBSP coconut milk 1/4 tsp oil of choice 1/8 tsp rosehip oil 10-15 drops of essential oil Mix well, pour into small spray bottle Put leftover coconut milk in ice cube tray and freeze. Put frozen cubes in Ziploc. 1 cube = about 1 TBSP....no measuring next time!
Organic Almond oil is best also organic Grapeseed oil too. But almond oil has been fabulous for thousands of years just like REAL olive oil which is the oil of God
First time seeing one of your videos. Great video, easy recipes for non toxic shampoo & conditioner, thank you! I subscribed & look forward to more helpful ideas.
I really like simply earth EO. I love Rosemary peppermint in my shampoo. Will have to try lavender next time. I make my own soaps and face serum with geoguard for self life. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe ♥️♥️♥️.
I've been making my own conditioner for ages. I only mix up about one quarter cup at a time as I find the coconut milk goes rancid after awhile. It's very inexpensive to make so... If it goes bad, toss it out and make more 😁 Also...put it in a small spray bottle rather than a pump.
I’m thinking if making this for Christmas gifts. I’ve got a couple if family members with damaged hair that is breaking off. Will use rosemary and clove.
This is great. Thank you so much. Quick question. What could be used as a replacement for the coconut milk due to child allergies please ? Thank a bunch. Take care 🙏😄🌱
Sadly I’ve given up on home shampoos. None of them have worked, my hair is always left feeling, dirty, and ones that said fluffy the were extremely drying. Pretty much everyone uses the usual suspects. But no luck for me. 😕
So I have 2 concerns & maybe u can help me. I recently just heard that essential oils r so concentrated that if u use them on ur body/hair to often it’s bad for ur liver. I also found out myself that Bonners liquid Castile is super drying to hair. Could u possibly address these if u have found out differently please. Thank u for ur wonderful content & great laugh🙂
You want to make sure you are buying good quality essential oils, Plant Therapy & Simply Earth are super affordable and great quality. Most essential oils are safe for topical use, as long as they are diluted. Be careful with citrus oils on the skin if going outside. The sun can cause them to burn. Most candles are made with fragrance oils, those are not plant derived.
All essential oils can be used on your hair and body. Rosemary is good for hair growth. Use it in a vinegar rinse or add a drop to your shampoo when you wash your hair or just add it to your shampoo when you make it.
Jinne, I made the spray that you showed us how to make by cooking the cloves and cinnamon, etc. and bc I live in Texas and its so hot here it started to spoil after just a few days. I think maybe I could put it in the fridge, anyway, do you think the shampoo and conditioner might do the same? I want to make these so badly bc my hair needs healthy help ❤
So my understanding of shampoo is that it is to cleanse the scalp and hair from oils, dirt, styling products, etc. If this is true, doesn't the shampoo just wash away the jojoba oil? It makes sense in the conditioner, I just don't understand how it works with the shampoo.
Castile is actually made from olive oil, lye and water, that is it. The lye changes the oil into soap. It is no longer lye, no longer oil. There is a thing called super fatting, that you can use when making soap, it leaves a tiny bit of oil that the lye does not break down, and. It is good as a moisturizer in soap. So adding oil to pre made Castile, basically does the same thing. It washes, but leaves a trace amount for your hair.
I just spent $500 having my drain unclogged, I now use a filter over my drain for my hair and will now not use conditioners or creamy shampoos or anything with oil in it. The coconut milk, jojoba oil will clog the drain
Hi Jinne great video thank you i made mine this afternoon I washed my hair and it has a greasy look i think I may have put to much conditioner in my hair it's great how can I get rid of this thank you ❤
🎆 ~ 🤔What's the longest you've stored it room temp & 🤔what temp DO you store your's at - 🤔plus a breakdown of the cost of your ingredz & 🤔 then divided by how much you actually used for both bottles of shampoo & conditioner might tempt me to try these recipes -🤔- IF i know how much the total cost of each bottle is & 🤔 how many times of usage you get out of 'em each for a grand total cost of each shampoo & conditioner day. I’ve never seen anyone make there own shampoo and conditioner. Thank you so much
I like putting rosemary in mine for regrowing hair and vitamin e for a longer shelf life

I will definitely have to try these recipes, since store shampoos make my scalp break out with pimples and dry patches.
Mine too! I'm not the only one, I guess!

Thank you I think I needed to hear this and watch. Happy Holidays everyone and Merry Christmas. Hang in there, ❤❤❤❤
How long can you keep the conditioner out ? Or should you store it in the fridge??😊

I would use a glass bottle to store shampoo due to the essential oil 👍
Thankyou Soo much for sharing..i really want to make natural shampoo and conditioner ❤
That's great! I'll try it. It's so hard to find safe shampoo & conditioner! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing. How long is this good for once mixed ? I thought canned coconut milk had to be refrigerated after it opened.
I'm curious too
I would add vitamin e or c to preserve it for up to 8 weeks.
Thanks! Castille soap, coconut milk, honey, jojoba oil, essential oils...I'm thinking fresh aloe gel 🙂
Is Castilie soap readly available??
@R-cg4on I plan to check Micheal's Id love to make some soaps for gifts.
That is awesome , THANK YOU JINNE

Can’t wait to try this! TY for posting. I just bought some store bought “organic” shampoo and my hair looks like straw now. 😂😂😂❤❤❤

How does the conditioner store being made of milk? Does it need to be stored in the fridge? Great video 😃

How long does the conditioner store for? I would think it has a relatively short shelf life due to the coconut milk.
I've been making my own conditioner for ages. Very similar recipe but only makes one quarter cup...usually it's gone before the milk goes rancid.
Good video, thanks for sharing, YAH bless !

Castile soap, does it leave a film on your hair it does if I use it on my dishes?
I have a question. I know there are some essential oils that are used in candles, so how do I know which oils I can use on my hair and body?
You want to make sure you are buying good quality essential oils, Plant Therapy & Simply Earth are super affordable and great quality. Most essential oils are safe for topical use, as long as they are diluted. Be careful with citrus oils on the skin if going outside. The sun can cause them to burn.

Do you know if Frankenscence oil is good on hair? I love the scent. ❤️
Frankincense is wonderful on the scalp, I would definitely give it a try.
@HomesteadCorner Thank you!
In the conditioner the coconut milk does not need refrigeration? And how long before all this spoils? Thanks
We have not had any issue with it spoiling, but if you live in a hot climate, you may want to store the excess in the fridge.
Jinne, I made the spray that you showed us how to make by cooking the cloves and cinnamon, etc. and bc I live in Texas and its so hot here it started to spoil after just a few days. We have not had any trouble with it going bad, but due to your heat, you may want to keep the excess in the fridge.
@HomesteadCorner I think I'll try that. I only hope my hair will look as pretty as yours!
I’m going to try this.
I’m always looking for good shampoos and conditioners. So pricey, and who knows what’s in them anyway?
Thanks!
*I have oily skin and hair, will your products take away the oil?*
Hi JINNE , I hope I spelled your name right 😅. Thanks for the video great content very useful.
Where do you get the soap??
I just grab it off amazon, the Brand is Adam's. Sadly the price has go up about $10 in the last few months.
oh boy, you said one cup of the first item but used 2 cups, is that right?
I saw your comment so I was watching closely and she started with 1 cup of water in the cup. I’m excited to try this.
Subbed. Thankyou Madame.😊

@@artsymamanana Thanks for explaining that - it had me stumped!
@@plantlady1227 No problem! It's an interesting process. There are videos about making liquid Castile soap. You may find it interesting. I make it.
Does the coconut milk stay good for a while
But is it cheaper?
I wonder about all this oil going down the drains 🤔
I just spent $500 having my drain unclogged, I now use a filter over my drain for my hair and will now not use conditioners or creamy shampoos or anything with oil in it. The coconut milk, jojoba oil will clog the drain
Why is there mailto destroy in the thrive life foods. Causes digestive issues.
A list of ingredients would be nice.
Hi Jinne great video thank you i made mine this afternoon I washed my hair and it has a greasy look i think I may have put to much conditioner in my hair it's great how can I get rid of this thank you ❤
A vinegar rinse will pull those extra oils out, but we only use that once a week as it can be very drying to the hair and scalp.
@@HomesteadCorner okay great thank you bless you ❤️
No I can't have it or do it because I'm allergic to coconut
Doesn't all that oil weight down thin and fine hair?
It looked like she used 3 teaspoons of jojoba, but she said 3 Tablespoons.
Look at her hair dont do it folks
