1 egg 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar 1 tablespoon of honey 10 drops of vitamin e oil 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Let this sit in your hair while you’re in the shower long enough for you to wash everything else It’s amazing and you don’t need to worry about a conditioner. This washes your hair and softens it.
Small batch conditioner recipe... 1/4 cup water, boiled and cooled 1 TBSP coconut milk 1/4 tsp oil of choice 1/8 tsp rosehip oil 10-15 drops of essential oil Mix well, pour into small spray bottle Put leftover coconut milk in ice cube tray and freeze. Put frozen cubes in Ziploc. 1 cube = about 1 TBSP....no measuring next time!
This is exciting! My hair is a nightmare, it’s blonde and baby fine in texture, so if we have any humidity, guess who’s sporting an Afro?!? Well water leaves minerals behind too, so I really need a shampoo that’s gentle and not full of junk. Thank you so much!❤️🇺🇸
Vinegar hair rinses are a very good option to always washing. They don't strip your hair of the oils it needs and you can add essential oils to benefit your hair such as Rosemary for hair growth. Mountain Rose Herbs website has some good recipes.
I too, have very baby fine hair and well water. I'm also getting older (67) and my hair is thinning, so, I'll be excited to try these all natural ingredient hair products! 😊
Organic Almond oil is best also organic Grapeseed oil too. But almond oil has been fabulous for thousands of years just like REAL olive oil which is the oil of God

I’m thinking if making this for Christmas gifts. I’ve got a couple if family members with damaged hair that is breaking off. Will use rosemary and clove.
I've been making my own conditioner for ages. I only mix up about one quarter cup at a time as I find the coconut milk goes rancid after awhile. It's very inexpensive to make so... If it goes bad, toss it out and make more 😁 Also...put it in a small spray bottle rather than a pump.
Love this and excited to try it. What is the shelf life? I don't go through much. Maybe a half batch would be best for me. Is there anything natural to put in it to increase shelf stability? Thank you!
My scalp can't have all those oils. I just mix 1tsp bicarb in a cup of hot water until it desolves, then for conditioner i add 2 Tblsp apple cider vinigar to a cup of water and leave it for 3 minutes.
This is great. Thank you so much. Quick question. What could be used as a replacement for the coconut milk due to child allergies please ? Thank a bunch. Take care 🙏😄🌱
So I have 2 concerns & maybe u can help me. I recently just heard that essential oils r so concentrated that if u use them on ur body/hair to often it’s bad for ur liver. I also found out myself that Bonners liquid Castile is super drying to hair. Could u possibly address these if u have found out differently please. Thank u for ur wonderful content & great laugh🙂
You want to make sure you are buying good quality essential oils, Plant Therapy & Simply Earth are super affordable and great quality. Most essential oils are safe for topical use, as long as they are diluted. Be careful with citrus oils on the skin if going outside. The sun can cause them to burn. Most candles are made with fragrance oils, those are not plant derived.
All essential oils can be used on your hair and body. Rosemary is good for hair growth. Use it in a vinegar rinse or add a drop to your shampoo when you wash your hair or just add it to your shampoo when you make it.
thank you for this recipe! I had been looking for DIY shampoo but so far I only found some with impossible ingredients. These ingredients I have in the house, and I will definitely make them both! I have dry old hair and store bought shampoos are so agressive and seem to make my hair even drier. I assume the conditioner needs to be rinsed off? Right now I am using a store bought leave-in with argan oil and I like that very much. But it would be so much nicer if I could make that too myself. Again: thank you for this great user friendly recipe!!! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!

Jinne, I made the spray that you showed us how to make by cooking the cloves and cinnamon, etc. and bc I live in Texas and its so hot here it started to spoil after just a few days. I think maybe I could put it in the fridge, anyway, do you think the shampoo and conditioner might do the same? I want to make these so badly bc my hair needs healthy help ❤

Sadly I’ve given up on home shampoos. None of them have worked, my hair is always left feeling, dirty, and ones that said fluffy the were extremely drying. Pretty much everyone uses the usual suspects. But no luck for me. 😕

I use Apple cider vinegar after I shampoo, before I condition. I just pour a little on my scalp & message in my hair. I do this about 3 times a month. Its a natural clarifier, leaves my hair thicker, fuller & softer. Rinse really well.
I would assume the coconut milk would spoil after a week? I would never be able to use that much conditioner in the recipe within a, week.. I wonder if using vitamin E as a preservative would make the coconut milk would have a longer shelf life

Thank you for sharing. How long is this good for once mixed ? I thought canned coconut milk had to be refrigerated after it opened.
I'm curious too
I would add vitamin e or c to preserve it for up to 8 weeks.
One week in fridge or 4-7 days. Add vitamin E oil as a preservative. Potassium sorbate or citric acid to ensure the conditioner has a long shelf life.
How long does the conditioner store for? I would think it has a relatively short shelf life due to the coconut milk.
