Hey i m from Hk, using iPhone 12 Pro Max,
What must I do on my mobile setting set up? for the 2nd sim which is a straight roaming data sim that I have purchased shortly to use for my trip to Canada; all Internet data access ie WhatsApp, surfing google etc.., will be using from this one data SIM.
Also if any setting need to alter for primary sim ? which is my Hk phone SIM card from local telecom provider.

Similar to commenter Richard Ramirez (see above), I am also using my iPhone with dual Sim cards for personal and business use. The phone shows whether an incoming call is personal or business by displaying a tiny letter “p” or “b”. Is there a way to make the difference more obvious, with a larger font, the entire word “personal” or “business”, or even to have different ring tones for each of the two lines?

Hi @marionserrano I'm curious if you could share a screenshot of how (visually) text messages show up with 2 numbers? Do they look any different? One of my concerns is the ability to distinguish between the two sets of messages. Any thoughts on this?
Right now I'm using a Google Voice number as my secondary line, but it's so wonky and I'm getting to the point of wanting a "real" phone line in its place. Thanks for any thoughts/suggestions you can provide!

I followed the example ( min 2:49 of the video) by inserting my second sim but my phone doesn’t allow two sim, probably is not set for it.
It's only for HK/Macau/China variant! Dual SIM for others is eSIM + Physical SIM.

I heard there are Single SIM only iPhone 13? They say the one with EID when *#06# is dialed is Single SIM only. I have an iPhone 13 Mini. And it has that EID on *#06#. I would like to confirm if this is dual sim capable.

Is the iphone 15 pro max’s dual sim features dual active? I wanna emphasize this: Dual Active. Because there are phones that basically has dual sim features but do not support dual active feature.

@@MarionSerrano ok. Coz a real dual active functionality means that when I am having an ongoing call in my primary sim, the other sim should be active to receive text messages at the same time. This is what I am looking for. In samsung phones kasi, while the primary sim is receiving a call, the other sim, despite having a signal, withholds the receiving of text messages while a call is ongoing with the primary sim. Once the call is ended, that’s the time the other sim receives the pending text messages.

Only China variant has limitations like what you mentioned. HK and Macau are dual physical SIMs and they support wifi calling and facetime audio.

Hi! I was wondering about the bands of Iphones from Hong Kong compare here in Philippines? Is it all being utilized? We have certain 4G band, 700mhz I think, which some phones doesn't include in their radio band.
It depends on which model. iPhone 13 HK supports all PH bands. Can’t say the same for the others.

may us model ako, sad na hnde dual phys sim pero may extra mmwave 5G band naman sya, kaya nga lang walang mmwave 5G deployment pa ang pinas, and i dont think na mag dedeploy din sila neto due to high cost. pero afaik, us models have the most network bands, n41 included (5G aggregation), however any other model will still support 5G in the ph, just low-band or mid-band.

Compatible models are mentioned in the title. Depending on the variant you buy, you can have a physical dual SIM or eSIM+physical SIM combo.

I have the PH variant of the 14 Pro (physical and eSim) and apparently both of those slots are carrier locked 😒 anyway, does anybody have any experience on using the eSim as the carrier locked provider + a GPP chip on the physical sim slot? I need to use the other carrier because its my main line, but the phone provided to me by my company is carrier locked. Hope someone helps
it’s not possible if the phone is still locked. you need to call the carrier customer service to unlock the phone. but they only will allow it if the contract has already ended. otherwise you have no choice but to use the same carrier for both sims

What happens if the ESim line doesn't fully activate and I can't receive calls or texts? What trick can I use to fully activate it? After being online for 4 hours waiting for a tier 2 tech, I'm not sure if it's worth transferring my business line.
