Wuthering Waves Version 1.3 Story has been a hot topic in the community recently with some people loving it and some people absolutely hating it. But In this video I explain my full thoughts on the Wuthering Waves Black Shores story and give a little insight on how this could affect the future of WuWa in terms of players coming back to the game and also in turn affecting the revenue with the new characters that we are going to see including Camellya who has been a heavily anticipated Wuthering Waves Character...

What were your thoughts on the Wuthering Waves 1.3 Story?!
ww rating shoot up to 4.9 ⭐ in a lot of region of playstore and i think that just speaks volume on how good 1.3 update is. People can have opinions but i personally enjoy it the update myself. They will improve for sure because they are a type of devs that listen.

THE OST!!! It made me check if I am playing WuWa or Nier Automata! It gives that kind of vibe in the OST. And tbh, I enjoyed playing more because of it.
The story is sooo good but it doesn't show where the story is now going to, but hey they keep mentioning the "next nation" so maybe ...
they probably dont show where we are going next because 1.4 is still black shores after that is next major region

@@MrBentalton777 Yup. Possibly the next region and maybe just maybe next element will also be introduced in 2.0 (By story the next region might be "Rinascita" and by leaks, the next element is probably electro)

well one thing is clear and that is the tethis system is all around the globe and by the looks of it, there might be more BlackShores-like area in the future.. that's the feeling the story gave me..
I actually came back right before 1.3 because it looked amazing. I am happy to report I am having a great time.

few things u might not know!
-the city that was destroyed in 1.3 story, port city gui xiu is the place where we fight with inferno rider.
-tethys system is basically big super-computer that can predicts when lament might happen by feeding of past laments' pain and suffering basically.
-(past)rover intentionally made shorekeeper like a pc plugin to convert human emotions for tethys to process
-Rover was the one who discovered existence of tethys , so if anyone it is rover who could fix tethys.
-The whole shorekeeper saving thing happened cause it was not a necessary sacrifice to begin with. It was wrong prediction of tethys system from the start.
let me know if i missed anything with a few things or if i was mistaken
Abby is the new core / coppy of abby since at the end of the story when shorekeeper is talking about abby .. abby is quite and you ask how about the thethys system .? Shorekeeper stated that it fixes itself and the waves of it are calm unlike the other core that they are feeding .. that's why rovers hand glows too when she touch shorekeeper is because of the power of abby .. and the whole mvp of 1.3 was abby all aloong
also Rover is at least a million years old if not older (when SK mentioned how long abby has been hidden inside rover)
Rover left the Black shores to find another way to prevent the lament from happening and then their created the City of jinshou and the sentinel jue to protect it or something
i mean id like to see capcabz's opinion on hsr, genshin, and zzz, if wuwa's plot is bad for her.
id bet she'd puke on sight. their whole shtick is the trope. she'll see immediately that their games are more about making as much money as possible than making a game good
Is it just me or did anyone else notice Abby interfering with Tethys when Rover reached out to take back Shorekeeper?
Rover's tacet mark glowed right when he grabbed SK's hand(which so far happens only when he absorbs and when Abby tries to interact) and the fact that for some mysterious reason Tethys's core got replaced by something still acceptable enough to be related to the lament. Could it be that Abby took out something they stored in them?
It seems like Abby ATE that necrostar (black hole) 😂
Storytelling aside, 1.3 solidified that Wuwa's worldbuilding is insane. I'm not usually a fan of post-apocalyptic/sci-fi, but this just hits lol.
It's so good! And unlike Genshin, you don't have to rely on lore youtubers to skip the yapping and get to the good part of the story.

Can't wait for part two of the story in 1.4
[Spoilers Alert] My only nitpick for the story is that there wasn't much build up between Shorekeeper's distress and saving her. If they've let it fester and let the players stew on it and process what happened more (Just like how it took some build up to save Nahida in Genshin) then it would have emotionally hit much harder. Everything else was great otherwise, the saving sequence was peak.
Edit: Maybe if the saving part was only accessible after server reset or after 24 hours, it would build up the anticipation more while the players wonder about how things will turn out to be while doing the other contents.
In light of recent monthly PvP chart I shall stay silent.
I will say Rover saving that person at the end without consequence felt a bit unrealistic. Rover was simping way too hard to think straight. Other than that 10/10 story
Besides speedrunning free 5*, I took a break for the entirety of 1.2 cause it was kinda filler, but new patch got me back into the game. Hope they keep on pushing more Sci-Fi/metropoly stuff. Also would like to see some event making use of portal gun, it has potential for some fun puzzles

yeah.... maybe will get something like that down the line. they did it for PGR tho. so maybe its still just too early. We are in the prologue still. chapter one.

I just want a story that I can take more seriously, like you can't predict that consequences will be resolved easily by like, "it will be ok in the end." Nah I feel like consequences should stick to you knowing you fail but have to move on kinda feel.

Selena? The boy that did the swan dive but didn't die? Those are the only two things I can remember that seemed tragic but even Selena seemed to be "saved" iirc. Genuinely asking not arguing. My memory isn't great and there's a LOT of reading in PGR...
for real i was hoping guixiu will be restored after they fixed that system.. but oh well, at least we got a glimpse of what it looked like when it was still intact..

Overall 8/10 , 10/10 for visual/music/emotion, 6/10 for plot développement
I loved the story, even cried a few times and it's pleaant to play too. I personaly won't pull for Camelia probably but I want to see what her story is.

Good news, mobile revenue™ on sensor tower has been updated to include the first 2 days of Shorekeeper's banner. It's now 11 million on mobile, which is the same as last month
1.3 was absolute Peak. 10/10.
The cut scenes, puzzle and the overall area was super good/fun
I guess the story for some people who dont like character relationship might not enjoy as much.
The story opened the pandoras box of wuwa.. (that's why there is a lot of plotholes) the blackshores became a Hub for the rover .. so even if we jump places to places on story we can say ohhhh we just teleported thx to black shore that's why where everywhere, not unlike genshin where one patch you are in natlan the second patch you are in monstad . There are also explanation when they do collabs .. they will just make bullshit that will make sense because of blackshore and it's thethys system so the immersion of it isn't defiled ..
Another thing about the story are some small detail about the world for example
Shorekeeper asking the rover some tea ..that represent how life before the lament , and how drinking tea is a normal acurance , that's why shorekeeper ask do you want those tea we have them at our seedbank .. meaning they really do preserve the humanity when lament comes

cap cabinetz is being to harsh about wuwa 1.3 quest~ cuz all she care about is the meaning behind the story and the actualy reason behind all that work rover had to do but in the end it doesnt matter ETC, but like if a story makes you emotional and happy through out the process of playing it then its a good story, STORY DOESNT NEED TO HAVE A MEANING TO IT OR REASON AS LONG IT BRINGS SOME PEOPLE ENJOYMENT.. Literally all the genshin archon quest are fking boring as well, people only likes it and care about it is bc of the cut scene same with wuwa story doesnt need to have a meaning behind it or the reason through out the quest

Some elememtes of the story I just dont like... like a super computer and teleporting. I dont like it. How the region is out in noewhere. and I rather *Rover as the a wandering Warden*, much over what it seems shes trying to rebuild civiliation. But im greatful greatful it wasnt time travel bs.
But the elements they worked with was put together alright.. I really wish they had shut Tethsys down as the end.. Noone even knows who created it. It spells trouble!
The biggest highlight of this story chapter for me, was the Port city. Theres a quest in the game that suggests the city is 10 to 15 years old.. But just look at it, it looks like a city thats been in ruin for 100 years+. And if the city was destoryed in 10-15 years, people in Jinshou would still talk about, it would of been a huge loss. So I really glad the story could at least define the city is ruin more than 100yrs old. That port city was one of my complains about the world, being out of place. But now they sorta put it in place where it belongs, a ruin.
Shorekeeper was ok. Some touching moments, I myself said, lets get back in there and save her!!. I wont accept and end where we loose her. Im at least content with the ending. There were some loose ends not tied up tho... Like Hoda, or Niya. etc etc Where have Encor and Cameylla been all this time ? I expected Alto to greet us again at the end.
Some of the robots wee pretty funny tho... I did laugh when we walked up behind a robot and it turned around and got scared about us sneaking up on it
the story sucked. shorekeeper sounds like a zombie repeating the same line over and over again. 1.1 was much better
Lets be honest if you want to play a game for maximum storytelling then gacha shouldn't be your first choice, AAA games can be built around a contained story over years and are usually released as a final product, gacha just isnt usually built that way but if you do get some enjoyment out of it its a bonus, not a driving factor, that's just my observation anyway, we know how it goes! Kuro can only continue to improve though and if you played pgr you know what's up

@rpamungkas13 hey I'm not saying it can't be done but you really got to be some kind of story wizard to out-do something like elden ring for example, I mean alot of console/PC games have awful stories, but if we are going toe to toe with the best out there then generally console/PC games will just do it better because it's usually a 1 and done situation, and not just adding to a story every 6 weeks because that's your business model, no hate tho I'd be more than happy to see more amazing stories wherever they come from!

yeah when I finished the story I thought it is a "simple good story" as a gacha game and thinking about it deeply is simply not up there tho it will probably a lot better if they made it a two part story to make the progression of story a lot more fleshed out.

I find it funny that some people trusts a chart which isn’t even accurate in the first place. Do you really think that a company is going to disclose their actual mobile earnings to you?
It's the same way consumer trends , elections predictions , etc is done data analytics and math , they not 100% accuarate but they good enough as long as You have info to work with .
Is also the reason why theres no PC data , because well theres no way to gather that info , and contrary to what dumb people think they don't. Make up numbers so they don't create PC revenue numbers out of thin air
