    Great video. Question - If an account focused on lead gen has 0 conversion data from any sources, would Max Clicks make the most sense to start?
    You can control CPCs out of the gate, and the thought process is once some volume comes through, you switch over to Max Conversions, then eventually tCPA and let it ride.

      Thank you! Yes I have done this before as well. Sometimes I will try with Target CPA with a bid control initially and if the campaign isn’t spending then I will switch to Maximize Clicks until I get some conversion data. The one downside is it will find some low quality search terms so I would definitely use Phrase or Exact match keywords with Maximize Clicks initially.

    Hey Corey,
    Just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for the wealth of knowledge you consistently share in your videos on Google Ads, Content Marketing, and SEO. Your insights and tips have been incredibly helpful in enhancing my understanding and skills in these areas.
    Also, it was great to finally see your recent photo on the video thumbnail! It's always nice to put a face to the voice that has guided so many of us in our digital marketing journeys. I must say, you've changed quite a bit since the last photo I saw on LinkedIn, and it's impressive to see the person behind all this invaluable advice.
    Keep up the fantastic work, and thanks again for all the effort you put into making these informative videos!
    Stay happy, healthy, and blessed, insha'Allah!
    Kind regards,
    Najam

      Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment. I figure if I put a face to the voice it will make it a bit more personable and help me drive more clicks from RUclips as well. I should hire a professional thumbnail designer.

    A lot of people recommend always starting out with maximize clicks before using an automated bid strategy so that the algorithm has enough data to optimize for. Do you not recommend doing the same?

    Hi, what do you think of this: I usually start a new client (no previous Google ads or data) off with website traffic/clicks & manual cpc. I run this for at least one month to gather as much data as possible then change to a "smart" bidding.

    • @Surfsideppc
      @Surfsideppc  Год назад +3

      Yes this works as well, I have used Manual CPC and Maximize Clicks at times until I get some data from the campaign. I don’t think there is 1 perfect method for every campaign, but it helps to control costs a bit out of the gate to avoid overspending on clicks.

    Corey, I’ve been bingeing your videos in preparation for promoting my e-comm store. In your experience, is a performance max campaign THE BEST campaign type to start with for e-commerce?

    • @Surfsideppc
      @Surfsideppc  Год назад +1

      For Google Ads, I would recommend Performance Max campaigns. You can still try standard shopping campaigns, but Performance Max will run your shopping ads so you don't need to use both. I generally use Performance Max and split each Asset Group based on product type. The key is having good images/videos to go along with each asset group along with optimized product pages (titles, images, and descriptions). You can also run search ads, display remarketing, and video remarketing campaigns as well. From a ROAS standpoint, Performance Max will tend to work the best.
      For Meta/Facebook, I would recommend Advantage+ Shopping Campaigns, which are also referred to as Advantage+ Catalog Ads. You can learn more about these here: facebook.com/business/help/397103717129942?id=1913105122334058
      For Microsoft/Bing Ads, you can use Smart Shopping campaigns and they currently have Performance Max in beta.
      Those are the 3 campaigns/channels I would generally recommend starting with. I know some companies have a lot of success on Pinterest and TikTok as well. A lot of these campaigns work better if you have more diverse traffic sources like organic search, Pinterest, email, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. Obviously it's hard to focus on all of these, but paid ads tend to get a lift when you have other traffic sources as well.

    Great video, thanks. I’m finding that pmax is just hammering repeat customers and branded terms and so the target roas metric is a bit misleading. For example if a client says they want 400% roas, from new customers, it’s difficult to achieve this with pmax due to the black box nature of how it works. For e-commerce I’ve started to use manual shopping a lot more which is something I never thought I’d have to do!

  • @ApniZameenProperties
    @ApniZameenProperties 7 месяцев назад

    For target ROAS: my question is if i am not able to get any activity as you have mentioned in the video and suggested that to decrease Target ROAS to lets say from to 300% to 250% and maximum bid limit to $1.25 from $1 then it will go into learing phase which last to 5 days normally so if do it again it will again go into learing phase and during learning phase it won't make any clicks or calls it could lead bad experience to the client so what is the solution here? How can we do frequent changes in account ?
