I remember really liking this movie for the most part, but then the ending seemed a bit out of place and quite rushed. It reminded me a lot of Animal Kingdom (2010)...

It was well made and had some talented performances. But the film lacks development and is a very dreary business. The ending also shows its hand too soon. The actors and director elevate the material, but ultimately it's just not a very enjoyable story.
