I’ve felt that Cosmo Jarvis did a good job in “Shogun” but this clip is amazing. I can’t believe it’s the same actor but there it is and I don’t know why I had never heard of him until now. Here’s hoping he becomes more of a household name.
This is a good film, I'm going to watch it again which I hardly ever do. Jarvis's accent was so accurate I was surprised to learn he's not Irish, although I remember thinking he doesn't look Irish at all. All in all, a cracking indie film I'd recommend!
Really a shame that American movie goes and streamers don't get more Irish cinema and TV. We're flush with British TV, which, fair play, is good, but it's nice getting to see great Irish actors all the way through.
Movie is honestly not that great. But Jarvis does such a good job he carries the film and makes it a lot more interesting then it has any right to be. The car chase scene was pretty well done too.
there is a group of people in this comment section that is way too salty about this movie. like to a point where it's weird and kinda funny. you can bet it's good based on such a polarized response 😂
Saw him in Netflix's Persuasion 😬😬😬. Wasn't convinced until Shogun, now I'm searching his work. Dudes got range but he definalty shines in smaller work.
Just had a thought, more salty shills have watched this trailer, than actually saw the movie itself. Actually though it's one shill posting from several hundred sock puppet accounts.
Keoghan should stick to playing goofy good guys. He tries so hard to play all these scary villains, but sucks at it and isn't intimidating in the least. I don't care how many close ups you do of his scar, he's impossible to take seriously as someone you should be afraid of. He needs a new agent that will explain this to him.
You have lived a sheltered life watching too many American movies... He plays the perfect villain. Small men with a chip on their shoulder are unpredictable and dangerous. That being said, you have clearly not seen this film, he is ment to be a bit of a joke within his circle which is why he tries too hard to be a bad man.
@@isthisbetter You're the one whose lived a sheltered life and watched too many bad movies if you think this guy played the "perfect villain". He's no where even close to that. And yes - I have actually seen the film. So I would stop assuming things if I was you, because you aren't very good at it.
@@TheBerylknight what I am saying is that this film is a true to life story, rather than a Hollywood movie... He played this part perfectly as there are many small time thugs in these parts of the world that are pitiful but also very dangerous. These kinds of people are powerful within a small town because they are so unpredictable and have a lot to prove... If you haven't come across people like this then yes... You have lived a sheltered life and think all "villeins" are criminal mastermind's with a plot to take over the world 😂
@isthisbetter But I don't think all villains are criminal masterminds with a plot to take over the world. You said that, not me. @@147bentaylor No, it won't get worldwide anything. No distributor picked it up, its sales were abysmal and it's actually a really shit film. It'll be added to Netflix's roster, where it'll only make any money for the film company if someone pays to watch it (highly unlikely) - it's one of those films which are given out as freebies. Really awful film, it deserved to fail. But then all films are failing at the moment.

Watching this after starting Shogun... Cosmo has some fucking range... damn

watch the film it’s really great. he’s amazing all the way through with a heartbreaking monologue at the end.
Saw this on Netflix and it was an excellent film, Cosmo is up for a best actor award and I'm suprised it's not getting more coverage
Cosmo Jarvis reminds me a little bit of a young Marlon Brando, great performance in this film, be interested to see what he does next.
They were similarly shorter and muscular, so I see that.
Hello im from 3 years in the future. He does alright.
Underrated film. Some fine acting.

Brilliant film. Watched it last night.
He's got such a Tom Hardy vibe. I swear I thought they were related.
my thoughts exactly
Greta film, really enjoyed it. Score was amazing too. Cosmo was excellent, top stuff!

Cosmo Jarvis is British 😂
That looks so awesome.
This was a good film and time is on it’s side
Jarvis is like a Brando - here is why - he stares at the eyes of the other person. Reads them, then reacts. That is why he should be Bond.
Good movie
Love THIS MOVIE
I forgot about this!
It's my favourite movie!
came to see if he’s got the chops for joker
Oh, he’s got the chops alright

Its literally just one person posting the same comment over and over, its so weird
Keoghan looks like Ezra Miller’s long lost little brother.
Looks as good as cardboard gangsters
That's grossly insulting to cardboard gangsters.
Lets hope not, Cardboard gangsters was piss poor
That film was a massive heap of overrated wank, but at least this looks like it might have potential, story, characters and direction
He kinda looks and sounds like tom hardy in this
Who is Tom Hardy???? Biiiiiiiiiiiitch Cosmos says, hold my talent
Tom Hardy can only do one thing and that's overact as a tough guy in the exact same way
Young Tom Hardy
I wasn’t terribly impressed with Jarvis’ performance in Shogun, but here he looks marvelous.

Wow, their casting director did well, here.
Интересно, фильм переведут на русский?
